Politics › Re: Opinion: Why Is Lagos Light Rail Project Costlier Than That Of Ethiopia? by Scholes007(m): 12:55am On Jun 09, 2016 |
Possible thing that can change the cost of such project significantly is the terrain. Lagos is a swampy area and any construction project is likely to cost more than conventional. Also the population that will use it determines the quality of things or will you want to waste millions for it to fail so soon? |
Politics › Re: Opinion: The Niger Delta Struggle And The Unity That Will Never Be!! by Scholes007(m): 12:32am On Jun 09, 2016 |
jpphilips: The writer never said Niger delta doesn't have a case, neither did he imply they should not bomb away their future, all he was saying is that so far, the struggle is not in the interest of Igbos politically, historically, economically and otherwise. OH I see! You (and possibly the writer) only want to reduce this to Igbo huuu? Let me ask you is it of the interest of Nigeria(or any ethnic group) politically, historically, economically and otherwise? You should stop hiding in the dark and just spill out what you have for the Igbo. Like I said i do not support the NDA neither do I support anyone who reduce their actions to the Igbos as you imply. What you should be looking at is the interest of Nigeria as a whole not chasing shadows. |
Politics › Re: Opinion: The Niger Delta Struggle And The Unity That Will Never Be!! by Scholes007(m): 12:37pm On Jun 08, 2016 |
@jpphilips I concur with you on certain aspects, from the outset of this NDA nonsense I never supported their stratagy. Though their demands are worth looking at, I believe anything Igbo shouldn't be included in it. Like we all know south south as you call it is just a political entity and should be regarded as such. jpphilips: The biggest problem is that the average Igbo man does not know where his interest lie.
what do you mean by this? Do average Nigerian know where his interest lie? |

Babacele: so how was the money removed from their hand or gotten if not through recovery? wetin no b yr own wey you carry no be stealing and if na public money no be looting ?why dem no come collect for my hand ...abi wetin u no steal u go return? so people returning these monies na charity people no be wetin dem steal? ......so when you return wetin you steal na frozen account no b recovered loot? your logic too tight...abi wetin u dey talk? You don't get me yet, do you? i. Efcc, icpc and other intelligency organisation has to identify funds/asset which they feel are ill gotten. ii. Next thing they do is to freeze the account or seize the asset pending to when it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that it is not ill gotten. iii. Some investigative and legal processes has to be undertaken. Here there are two possible outcome, a) The fund/asset might be found to be a legit property of the accused. Hence not looted fund b) The fund/asset might be found to be ill gotten. iv. If the case is the latter then it is were it is tag recovered money/loot. v. The loot is returned to the govt coffer. I no talk say people no thief moni oo. I no also talk say people thief moni. Wetin I mean be say we never recover any moni yet o. Wetin we still get na frozen accounts and seized assets. |
Politics › Re: Why Buhari Can't Spend Recovered Loot- Naij.com by Scholes007(m): 9:51am On Jun 06, 2016 |
Babacele: so when a public officer is forced to return what he has stolen from the public, it is called frozen account abi? God have mercy.. I wasn't talking about who is forced or who volunteered all am saying is the fund shouldn't be tagged recovered loot yet. From all indications, the court(any legal agency involved) is yet to tag anything stolen yet. It means that there are chances that some people or organisation funds might have been mistaked to a loot. Hence the are likelihood of someone dragging the fg to court if his fund is used. |
Politics › Re: Why Buhari Can't Spend Recovered Loot- Naij.com by Scholes007(m): 8:26am On Jun 06, 2016 |
That means we are yet to recover anything if any. Why don't you wait till all legal processes has be exhausted before tagging the fund "recovered loot". "frozen accounts" should have been a better phrase. |

You have just made the basic defination of definition of failure. When someone has a defined objective, he is likely to go about doing what he know and has little or know cause of pointing accusing finger or even complaining. The behaviour exhibited by this leadership tends to point toward disaster. Clearly it is a definition of path to failure. |
Politics › Re: One year of Change 'We Are More Divided'- Ike Ekweremadu by Scholes007(m): 6:49pm On May 29, 2016 |
einst3in: We are more divided or the ibos became more separatist. Which one? Don't make yourself a kid and a foolish one for that. This is about the division along ethnic , regional and economic faultlines in Nigeria. There is serious mistrust among other ethnic groups, there are heightened regional mistrust, there are increased clashes between ethnic group which is at critical level, there are separatist movements and are growing, there are general mistrust against some groups, regions and people, there are dissatisfactions among members of the nation... And the list goes on and no. So you see it not about Igbos but the heightened division in Nigeria just in one year. The country Nigeria and its citizens should be discussioning events in one mind and tone, not the your silly comment which shows how we have relegated in recent times. |

Nigeria politics is so bad
if the army shoot one bullet they will call it genocide You are somehow right, the army isn't weak and cannot go around shooting innocent citizens. The NDA operations haven't been fully understood by the NA, coupled with the possible ability of Nigerian (especially from those regions) calling out to the international community if there is any form of human right violation. Best possible bet now is dialogue. |

Businessideas: After a patriotic display and near success by Seun and his patriotic moderators to promote our soverignity over the intense desperation by the people who didn't vote for President Buhari to divide Nigeria. I urge us to remain vigilant. The trend now is to promote this unpopular demand by a few corrupt politicians and their paid agents on our Nairaland through a decoy. There's now a new trend, they are using the actions and demands of a few Ijaw militants to now promote their original agenda. The Nigerian south south is not 100% Ijaw. I suggest that the Nairaland management issue a disclaimer on their actions and remove their multiple threads they open with fictitious id .

gabicon: We can't afford to patronise IVM simply because it's naija assembled ivm needs to do aggressive marketing. drive from ojota to VI how many adverts or sales point of ivm do you see? How many of kia or Nissan, or Toyota do you see? People buy what they see that's why companies run adverts on TV n bill boards. As we speak I don't know a location to purchase an ivm vehicle but I know of kia Peugeot Nissan n ford Benz. If ivm doesn't give the public a taste of what they have to offer no one will take them serious. IVM is still a very young vehicle company, they likely many not have the finance to go into "aggressive advertisement". They need govt support to achieve whatever you expect them to do, If you look closely All the the organisations I mentioned are state/fed owned. I used the clause "should include similar". Which means the state govt can as well include some of IVM products into scheme, which is it'self an advertisement and also patronage. |

For the mega city status which Lagos craves, we expect that Ambo would go on to complete the rail project fashola began & expand the power generation and supply of the state I thought that the railway project was Fg. |
