Giadom claiming to be the Acting chairman is like Gbajabiamila claming to be president of the country in the absence of the President ahead of the VP and Senate President.

The Ekiti state APC bielieves that since Segun Oni is from Ekiti the new deputy chairman must come from Ekiti.This is the premise of the court case in question filed in February 2020.It mist be noted that the petitioner wants the court to declare the seat Ajimobi is holding vacant and the seat returned to Ekiti.The court has not taken any decision on it till today.In the process of this Ajimobi became the chairman and now an acting charman. Since there has been no injunction against filling in the post, that APC is legally right to appoint Ajimobi as the deputy chairman from the south west. Additionally Section 14 of the APC constitution says if the party chairman is suspended the deputy chairman of the zone where he comes becomes the acting chairman. So his appointment as the acting chairman is constitutional and appropriate.Conversely if a deputy chairman is removed the party can choose a replacement from any state of the geopolitical Zone he comes from.... The challenge against Ajimobi is a waste of time and and a frivolity of judicial process.

Thanks for the clarification... I think a law should be made to recommend heavy fine against any appellant that try to waste the court's time with unnecessary case.. The Deputy national Chairman is not the birthright of any state. If Ajimobi is from outside SW then I can say APC erred.

Obaseki had to go through all that process because the [b]AC gave a " stay of execution" on the purported ruling suspending Oshiomohle... the HC gave that ruling... and then AC ordered a stay of execution.... but now... the same AC has validated the HC ruling which seeks to suspend Oshiomohle...so Obaseki was just fulfilling all righteousness by going through that process just in case...so as it stands now....if Obaseki didn't resign from the APC before that AC ruling... he would've been banking on the fact that all what Oshiomohle's arrangements was intended for would have been ruled as null and void... [/b]and then another screening process would be put in place... whereby he(Obaseki) will try and clinch the primaries ticket for himself without having any opposition from Oshiomohle...but I guess that window isn't available to him anymore.
So his best chance is to get the ticket from another party... which is preferable to him...the PDP.

Sorry,there is a time limit.as pdp are submitting his name on 29,his qualifications will be attached.if it has not been corrected,the law requires any party that is aggrieved to photocopy it and take him to court.he will be removed before the elections.

Bro You should help me ask him the reason why Obaseki sworn Affidavit reads He graduated in 1976 and the purported Certificate carries 1979? Does that mean that Obaseki did not know the year he graduated?

I just confirmed Issa-Onilu was ratified by a Mini-Convention so he is legit.

It is Deputy National Chairman South and National Secretary that are the issues because they are meeting stumbling blocks from Ekiti and Yobe States respectively.

Obaseki's disqualification still stands.. The NWC has released the Election and appeal panel list. Gaidom is not the highest office holder from the South, The court injunction order he was parading only lasts for just 14 days from the day it was issued.

I said it that Gaidom and Sen Shaibu can't claim the leader of the party because there are some NWC who senior Gaidom in the party hierarchy.. Sen Shaiubu can't claim the Chairman seat also because the National Chiarman is not from his zone.
For Obaseki i think He is not planing to join any party, He just want to support PDP underground and frustrate APC from winning the election.
But all in all time is not waiting for Obaseki.

Even if Oshiomole goes for stay of execution with his appeal to Supreme Court, which is likely not to be granted, the day Supreme Court will affirm Court of Appeal's decision which is most likely, APC will become candidateless eventually in both Edo and Ondo state elections. That's the implications.

So, Sen. Shuaibu-led APC NWC and NEC will definitely oppose any stay of execution citing the impending injury such could cause the party.

That's how law, time and political calculation work

Any decision taken by NWC under oshiomhole still stands reason been that the appeal court granted stay of Execution before hearing the case. The supreme court will grant the stay of execution and adjourn the case for hearing.
APC constitution did not give Sen Shuaibu from the North the power to take over the running of the party so far there is National Deputy Chairman from the south in person of Sen Ajimobi.
I'm sure you've not heard anywhere Sen Shuiabu claim the acting chairman of the party..

Ize iyamu has a court case going on now judgement will be delivered in the next few hours, to determine his eligibility as an APC member.
He is not yet a member of APC
The current Edo state APC chairman Ojezua who is in Obaseki camp will not accept or allow Ize Iyamu to be accepted as a member of APC is any of the wards in Edo state.
It still baffles me how an intelligent and smart politician like Ize Iyamu got caught into this political trap.

From my own understanding I think Oshiomhole drag Ize-Iyamu away from PDP so that APC will not have a strong contestant for PDP and now Odubu will be the APC candidate, It will be too late for Ize-Iyamu to get any serious party's ticket therefore making the PDP weak.
In all of this Oshiomhole is trying to Use Ize-Iyamu as distraction same way Senator Adeola Solomon was used to distract Amosun in Ogun state.
