Prof Wole Soyinka that I so much respected before now have really disappointed me so so much, it was heartbreaking.

Peter Obi have never for one day attacked or condemned or criticized Prof Wole Soyinka or that useless fugitive called Reno Omockery. But they have been busy attacking a man that did them no wrong unprovoked just because he is from the Igbo tribe that they love to gangup against.

Peter Obi have never for once told any supporter to start a protest against government or Soyinka. Peter Obi have never for one day called for protest or attack on any government or person. All Peter Obi has been preaching is patriotism and good governance by making Nigeria a productive nation than a nation that depends on imports only by encouraging youths to be productive via agriculture, tech and trade.

Peter Obi have been condemning government officials spending lavishly while the nation is bleeding while youths are languishing in unemployment.

Peter Obi only preached against government wastage and instead encouraged government officials to save, live frugal life and rather focus on investing in Nigeria's youth population and agriculture as a way of moving Nigeria from just a consuming nation to a productive nation. This is the man Prof Wole Soyinka and senseless fugitive Reno Omockery has been busy attacking unprovoked.

Peter Obi won an election and got robbed openly by INEC, he refused to tell his willing supporters waiting for him to give them order to start nationwide protests, Obi instead told his supporters to remain calm that he will go through the court even when his vice Datti Ahmed was ready calling for protest. Prof Wole Soyinka and other Nigerian hypocrites didn't credit Obi for remaining calm in midst of open cheating unlike Buhari that lost election clearly in 2010 but refused to be calm but rather charged his supporters to kill oppositions and burn down Nigeria. Prof Wole Soyinka and other Nigerian hypocrites didn't ever condemn Buhari, they even supported Buhari to emerge President later because he is not Igbo, so his sins does not count, but calm Peter Obi preaching patriotism and frugality in governance is who this old man has been busy attacking, it is well with Nigeria.

And you guys think God is not watching you all, no wahala

Instead of supporting such a man, Prof Wole Soyinka decided to tag Peter Obi as the worst candidate claiming that Peter Obi supporters are a mob this and that and people are clapping for Soyinka without shame.

It is well.

Thank God time exposed Prof Wole Soyinka and he didn't die with the massive respective he enjoyed across borders. Now he has been exposed.

Anyway, I know that what Bola Tinubu cannot corrupt does not exist.

My last word for all Nigerians is this:

The living God, the God of justice have ordained an Igbo person to be the one to liberate Nigeria from decades of leadership failure. God have ordained an Igbo person to lead Nigeria to a communal prosperity and no matter what any other person try, they will fail until that Igbo person emerges President of Nigeria and set things right. This is God's ordinance and nobody can change it, no prayer can change it, so the earlier Nigerians embrace this sad truth the better for all Nigerians.

If you doubt me, pray to be alive for the next 50 years, you will see what the Lord can do.

*The Hope-Filled Mind: An Anchor in the Storm*

*Hebrews 6:18-19 KJV*
_That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil._

Life can be a tempestuous sea. We face storms of disappointment, loss, and uncertainty. These trials can leave us feeling lost, adrift, and devoid of hope. But in the midst of these hardships, the Bible offers a powerful anchor – the unwavering promise of hope.
In Heb 6:19 (NIV), we find a beautiful verse that speaks to this very idea: “We have this Hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." The author compares hope to an anchor, a vital tool that keeps a ship from being tossed and broken by the waves. This means hope is a symbol of stability and security in the face of the unknown.

This hope isn't based on wishful thinking or fleeting optimism. It's grounded in the unwavering faithfulness of God; that He can be trusted to keep His promises. The Bible is filled with stories that illustrate the power of hope. Take David, the shepherd boy who faced the mighty Goliath. Despite the odds against him, David clung to his faith in God. He knew that God wouldn't abandon him and that victory was possible. His hope fueled his courage and led him to triumph (1 Sam 17).

Similarly, we find hope in the story of Job. He endured unimaginable suffering – the loss of his possessions, his children, and his health. Yet, amidst this despair, Job refused to give up hope in God. He declared, "I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, though my body is wrecked, yet I will see God!" (Job 19:25-26).
These stories remind us that hope isn't the absence of struggles. It's the unwavering belief that even in the darkest moments, God is with us. It's the assurance that even when things seem hopeless, there's a brighter future waiting. A mind that is hopeful is one that the Spirit of God can brood over. It's one that faith can stand on. So, how do we cultivate this kind of hope in our daily lives?

Ground yourself in the scriptures: Immerse yourself in the Bible's message of hope, find verses that resonate with your current situation.
Practice gratitude: Take time each day to reflect on the blessings in your life, no matter how small. Gratitude fosters a sense of optimism and hope.
Connect with your community: Surround yourself with people of faith who can lift you up and offer support during difficult times.

Focus on what you can control: While we can't control the circumstances around us, we can control our response. Choose to focus on the things you can influence, and trust God with the rest.

Hope is a gift from God, a powerful tool that helps us navigate through the storms of life. When we hold fast to this hope in God and His faithfulness, we find the strength to persevere, the courage to face challenges, and the faith to believe in a brighter tomorrow. Remember, God is faithful, and His promises are true. Don't let your hope be lost in the waves of life. God can be trusted!

*prayer*
Father, help me to trust You in every circumstance I find myself. I choose to be hopeful, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*DECLARATION*
I have hope. My hope is in God and His unwavering faithfulness, so even when things seem hopeless, I know there's a brighter future waiting for me. Hallelujah!

Pls, African women, let's try to hold our families intact with prayer and grace.
Divorce is not good, single -motherhood is dangerous to our children and our future, and all these baby-mama mentality is not good.

And we men, let's be more forgiving if our wives, put our ego aside and create a happy home for our children and wives. But we need the Grace of God, because the evil forces against us , though mighty, but our God has defeated them.

Also, may the police receive grace to catch this beast, and may a good judge sentence him to a quick execution, Amin.

THEME: HE’S CHOSEN TO FAVOUR YOU

THEME SCRIPTURE: And God said…I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy and loving-kindness on whom I will show mercy and loving-kindness (Exodus 33:19 AMPC)

‭Isn’t the Lord wonderful? When He chooses to bless and favour you, there’s nothing anybody can do about it. David recognised this and said, “Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel” (1 Chronicles 28:4).

The Lord chose David above all his family members, yet David had nothing to do with it. He wasn’t the first son, neither was he the second, but the Lord loved him and chose him. God hasn’t changed; He still chooses to favour people today, and He’s chosen to favour you. It’s nobody’s job to question His choice.

Psalm 102:13 says, “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” Not only is it God’s choice, it’s also His set time to favour you. Believe this. Paul, writing to Timothy, said: “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 2:1).

That’s what you ought to do; take advantage of the grace that’s in Christ Jesus. He likes you and He's favourably disposed towards you; be conscious of it. You can get that job or promotion that you desire. You can rebuke that ailment from your body. The Bible says it’s by His grace, not of works lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

There’s grace for you from God for whatever you require right now: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:cool.

prayer
Dear Father, thank you for loving me and for choosing to favour me. Your matchless love for me gives me the required boldness and confidence to be the success you created me to be. I take advantage of your great grace and lead others into this knowledge, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY
Romans 9:11-16 (For [the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that callethwink 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14 What shall we say then? [Is there] unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Psalm 102:13 NIV You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.

2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

LIFE AND TIME (Part 265)

LIFE: Living Into Future Enterprise.

TIME: Thinking Into Momentary Enterprise.

Romans 10:13-14
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
[14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

From the scriptures above, you see that your believe is born out of what you hear.
In essence, you and I need a preacher.

What is the work of the preacher?
It is to renew our minds through mentorship by divine inspiration in line with the Word of God into our individual purposes on earth.

Mentorship or to shepherd is to guide through words and actions.

Even God Almighty did not just spoke, He spoke and then moved by His Spirit over the waters when the earth was without form and void and darkness upon the face of the deep.

The words you hear and the actions you take on those words are the building blocks that shapes you into who and whatever you’ll be in life.

Even God fought the battle of words to create.

To be continued…

prayer: LORD, give me that shepherd after your own heart for my destiny in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen!

*REMEMBER: THE GREATEST DISABILITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST IS LACK OF LOVE.*

Thank you for your time and God bless you greatly…

I love you...

Politics / How Lawmakers Accelerated, Passed Bill To Change Nigeria’s National Anthem by Racoon(m): 6:27am On May 25
The National Anthem bill was passed on Thursday after it scaled first second and third reading at the same sitting.

The House of Representatives, on Thursday, passed a bill to revert to the old National Anthem. The process was done in the green chamber amid opposition from lawmakers across party lines. The bill, sponsored by the House Leader Julius Ihonvbere (APC, Edo) and titled: “Act to Provide for the National Anthem of Nigeria, and for Matters Related,” was given a speedy passage during plenary.

Tinubu’s Interest in Old Anthem
The manner of passage of the bill in the House and the Senate gives the impression of vested interest in the legislation. President Bola Tinubu has in the past advocated the adoption of the old National Anthem in place of the current anthem.

In 2011, Mr Tinubu, as the leader of one of the main opposition parties, called for the adoption of the anthem in place of the current one. “Abandoning the post-independence anthem, which arguably evoked a strong spirit of patriotism and brotherliness, to compose a very drab replacement, is far less inspirational,” Mr Tinubu said during a speech at the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.

During the presidential campaign, Mr Tinubu also expressed hope to return to the old anthem. He will mark a year in office on Wednesday. Although the president has ordered a low-key celebration, however, this old anthem may provide a symbolic win. The 2014 National Conference also recommended the adoption of the old anthem. The conference regarded the old anthem as a better symbol of unity, peace and prosperity.

Closed Door Session
The House commenced Thursday’s session around 11:15 a.m. but later dissolved into executive session that lasted about 40 minutes. It is unclear what the lawmakers discussed behind closed doors though sources said it was not unconnected with the issue of the anthem.

Upon resumption, the lawmakers continued legislative activities, but the presiding officer, Deputy Speaker Ben Kalu, later introduced a supplementary order which had only the Anthem Bill.

From First to Third Reading
Following the introduction of the bill, Mr Ihonvbere led the debate on its general principle. He said the current anthem lacks the rigour of the old.

“I have taken time to look at the old anthem and the new, and as a Nigerian who has been involved in the struggle to make Nigeria a better place either as a student to the student union movement including the “Ali must go” movement or as a university teacher; having been secretary, vice chairman and chairman of ASUU or as a pro-democracy activist who spent twelve and a half years in self-exile, I believe that the old anthem, encompasses, contains, exudes the kind of energy, resourcefulness and a sense of vision that I believe is good for Nigeria,” he said.

Speaking on the bill, the Minority Leader, Kingsley Chinda, countered the submission of the leader, stating that the old anthem is a symbol of the past. He also highlighted the fact that it was written by Lillian Jean Williams and composed by Frances Berda, who he described as a “symbol of colonialism”.

“While it is our function to make laws, but for every law there must be a spirit to it. If we are asked what is the essence of this law?” Mr Chinda, a lawmaker from Rivers State, said.
He said there must be a “clear cause” to make law, and that the lawmakers will be taking “ourselves back” by passing the bill to revert to the old National Anthem.

“What value will it add to us as a nation? I stand to oppose it. I asked the leader to withdraw the bill,” he said. Ahmad Satomi (APC, Borno) also spoke against the bill by calling into question the usefulness of the bill to hunger and insecurity. “Let’s do something that will bring development in the eyes of the international community. Let us think of something that will bring progress,” he said.

Another Borno State lawmaker, Ahmad Jaha (APC, Borno) supported the bill by questioning the content of the current anthem. Following the conclusion of the debate, Mr Kalu put the bill to voice vote and the voice of those who said “nays” were louder but he ruled in favour of those who said “ayes”. The ruling generated mild uproar in the House as some lawmakers expressed disapproval.

Unperturbed by the dissenting voices, the deputy speaker, rather than referring the bill to a committee for public hearing, listed it for consideration at the Committee of the Whole. At the Committee of the Whole, the opposition to the bill appeared to have waned as only the minority leader raised concerns over the typos in the bill but Mr Kalu got his way. Following the clause-by-clause consideration at the committee, Mr Kalu listed the bill for the third reading and it scaled when it was put to vote.

Content of the bill
Clause three of the bill makes it mandatory for the anthem to be recited at some of the following events:

-Opening and closing ceremonies of Federal Executive Council, and State Executives Council meetings.

-Opening and closing of sittings of Legislative Houses in Nigeria,

-Constitutional oath-swearing ceremonies,

-Flag-raising ceremonies,

-Major celebrations, major award ceremonies, major commemorative ceremonies, national memorial ceremonies and the like, which are organized by MDAs,

-Major diplomatic activities,

-Major sporting events,

-Other occasions as may from time to time, be determined by the minister responsible for education with the consent of the president.

Furthermore, clause four forbids the alteration of the lyrics of the anthem. “The Performance and singing of the national anthem shall follow the lyrics prescribed by the Federal Government of Nigeria,” clause 4 of the bill reads.

The bill also proposed that ”The Ministry responsible for information shall organise the review and approval of the standard for performance of the national anthem, and record the official recording of the national anthem to be played.

“The standard and official recorded versions of the national anthem shall be published on the Federal Government of Nigeria’s website.” According to the bill, the lyrics of the anthem is going to form parts of the civic education curriculum in primary and secondary schools.

“Primary and Secondary schools shall make the lyrics of the national anthem part of the civic education and organize pupils and students to learn the national anthem,” clause seven reads.

The bill is proposing to make “the second stanza of the current national anthem the national prayer.” The bill also passed second reading in the Senate and is expected to be passed by the upper chamber before it is sent to President Tinubu for assent.

Politics / Dethroned Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero Arrives Kano by olatade(m): 6:21am On May 25
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, former Emir of Kano, has arrived the ancient city.

The whereabouts of the monarch has been unknown since he was sacked by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Thursday.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) controlled House of Assembly had repealed the law which ex-Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje assented to on December 5, 2019.

After assenting to the law, Ganduje split the emirates into five and appointed Emirs in charge of each.

But while signing the repealed Kano Emirates Council Law, Yusuf gave all the Emirs affected by the law 48 hours to vacate their palaces and hand over to the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair.

He had subsequently announced the reinstatement of Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, whom Ganduje deposed in 2020.

The governor issued a reappointment letter to Sanusi on Friday and he led Jumat prayers at Government House, Kano.

But in the early hours of Saturday, Ado Bayero returned to Kano to a crowd of supporters.

The aircraft which conveyed the monarch touched down at the Aminu Kano International airport at 4:30am.

He was immediately thronged by his supporters, who were chanting a verse from Surah Al-Fatihah in the Holy Quoran.

“You (alone) we worship, and you (alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).”

While some others were saying, “God the Almighty will kill your enemies.”

The former Emir, who was fully dressed in royal regalia, did not respond to the crowd as he took his steps consciously.

He later observed Subhi (dawn prayer) at the airport.

Politics / Mixed Feelings In Karaye, Bichi, Gaya, Rano As Dethroned Emirs Leave by adenigga(m): 5:47am On May 25
Mixed reactions are trailing the removal of five first-class emirs in Kano State and the disbandment of the emirates, Daily Trust Saturday reports

A Federal High Court, Kano Division, had issued an order stopping the Kano State Government from proscribing the four emirate councils and the dethronement of their emirs, including the Emir of Kano, who was replaced by Muhammadu Sanusi 11.

Justice Mohammed Liman granted the order in an application by Alhaji Aminu Babba Dan Agundi, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of the Kano Emirate.

It would be recalled that former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje divided the Kano Emirate into five, creating and appointing first-class emirs for Bichi, Rano, Karaye and Gaya emirates after amending the Emirate Councils Law.

On Thursday, hours after the Kano State House of Assembly repealed the law, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf deposed the emirs.

These include the 15th Fulani Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero; the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero; the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa; the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II and the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir.

Our correspondents report that the recent development has elicited divergent reactions.

In Karaye, findings revealed that the deposed emir vacated his palace Thursday night as sympathisers gathered to bid him farewell.

There was noticeable presence of security personnel stationed within the palace and in some strategic places in Karaye town.

Also, members of the community were seen conducting their normal activities but with serious concerns over the developing situation.

Abdullahi Ali, a trader said: “It is a difficult situation for all of us. Honestly, I am afraid I cannot say anything.”

Malam Sani, who works in the local government area said, “Whatever you see is from Allah.”

In Bichi, the horses of the deposed emir, Nasiru Ado Bayero, were reportedly evacuated from the palace, together with his other personal belongings.

Gates leading to the palace were manned by security operatives, although residents were seen going about their normal businesses as Friday was market day in Bichi.

“The emir left days before the announcement of his removal. It was nostalgic, honestly,” said Ismail, a school teacher.

Bintu, who said she was indifferent said: “Our prayer is that politicians would find a way of sorting out their differences instead of using traditional institutions to settle scores.

“Look at what is happening; the truth is that it is not worth it because all the emirs are related. It is one family, things like these can create bad blood,” she said.

Similarly, in Gaya, people were seen going about their activities.

Residents said the former emir vacated the palace at midnight on Thursday.

Also, there was no sign of any form of violence or resistance in the town, even as there was the presence of armed security personnel within the town.

A resident, Abubakar Shuaibu, said some people were not happy with the development.

There was similar deployment of security operatives in Rano Emirate.

Our correspondents made efforts to speak with people within the traditional institutions in all the delisted emirates but they were not forthcoming.

Mixed Feelings In Karaye, Bichi, Gaya, Rano As Dethroned Emirs Leave divided over High Court order

Lawyers in Kano were divided yesterday on whether or not the Federal High Court that granted an interim injunction restraining operationalisation of the Kano Emirate Councils (Repeal) Law 2024 has jurisdiction in the matter.

Our correspondent reports that when Babba Dan Agundi, who is a senior title holder rushed to the Federal High Court in Kano, he pleaded with the judge, through his lawyers, to restrain all relevant stakeholders not to temper with the existing emirates.

The respondents in the fundamental rights case are the Kano State Government, the House of Assembly, the Speaker, the Attorney-General, Commissioner of Police, Inspector-General of Police, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the State Security Service.

Speaking on the development, Bashir Muhammad Tudun Wazirci, a lawyer, who defended Governor Yusuf at the Election Petition Tribunal, up to the Supreme Court, said that the judge who granted the order knew that he had no jurisdiction in the case, being a chieftaincy affair.

Tudun Wazirci said although the order had not been served on them, he was only commenting based on what he read in the social media.

Another lawyer, Umar Danbaito, said section 251 of the 1999 Constitution, which confers jurisdictional powers on the Federal High Court, did not include matters relating to chieftaincy affairs.

Danbaito argued that the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court was limited to issues relating to the federal government and its agencies, arms and ammunition, aviation and safety of aircraft, diplomatic, consular and trade representation, among others.

Another lawyer, Felix Jones Osimerhe, said the Federal High Court had no jurisdiction on chieftaincy affairs.

He said that even if it does, the state governor enjoys immunity; and therefore, contempt proceedings cannot be filed against him.

Also, Ali Jamilu said the Federal High Court had jurisdiction on issues relating to fundamental rights and not chieftaincy affairs.

He said Babba Dan Agundi and his lawyers hid under sections 45 and 46 to secure the order, noting that only a state High Court or Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court can adjudicate on issues to do with chieftaincy affairs.

Another lawyer, who does not want his name mentioned, said Babba Danagundi could be right if he could convince the Federal High Court that his fundamental human right was infringed upon.

Judge granted order from US – Gov Yusuf

Daily Trust Saturday reports that the reinstated emir was at the Kano Government House yesterday, where he received his appointment letter as the sole first-class Emir of Kano.

He landed in Kano late Thursday and was accorded a low key homecoming reception following security advice.

After issuing the reappointment letter to Emir Sanusi, Governor Yusuf vowed that he would report Justice Liman to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) for allegedly issuing the letter from the United States.

“The person that issued the court order was in America but ordering us to stop what we are doing. I must present this issue of abuse before the Governor’s Forum so that we can tackle it accordingly.

“We are agents of following due process, and that is why we did what we did openly before everybody. Those that are meant to maintain the rule of law must follow that also,” the governor said.

No man can take what God has given – Sanusi

On his part, the reinstated emir commended Governor Yusuf and members of the House of Assembly for “summoning courage” to save Kano State and Nigeria through his reinstatement.

“It is a testament that no man can take what God has given,” he said.

The emir spoke shortly after receiving his reinstatement.

He said: “The Arabians used to say that in everything we are going to witness, there is a lesson that shows us that God is there. Whatever is happening to an individual is preordained by Allah; and to those that are sensible enough, it is a lesson.

“God is one, and whatever he does, nobody can change, and what he doesn’t do, nobody can.

“About 10 years ago, in this same place, former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso gave me my appointment letter as the Emir of Kano. Today, I am here again receiving a reappointment letter from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“Time will not permit long talks. Whatever we will say we had said when we were leaving. We made it clear that God had preordained time and cause for everything and everyone. He gives leadership to whom he wants and at the time he wants. When he gives, no one can take it away, and when he takes it away, nobody can take it back.

“My governor and our Assembly members will not understand the gravity of what you did for the history of Kano and the country at large. Among Kano emirs, it started from Bagauda over 1, 000 years ago. In this year’s, it was once that we had Emir Muhammadu Koguna, who was overthrown and he came back after some days. This shows that in 1,000 years, there has been no case like what happened now.

“In the northern part of this country, we have seen in different states how politicians balkanised emirates with a state, with one emir becoming 20, some 19. In states of northern Nigeria, there are local governments with two or three first class emirs, all because the system has been destroyed.

“Had it been that this thing that was brought to Kano was allowed, one day we would wake up with emirs of Kumbotso, Bichi, Fagge and 44 others. So, what the government and the Assembly did is a rescue mission,” he said.

I’ve no idea of what happened in Kano – Kwankwaso

The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections and the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, said he had no idea of what happened in Kano as he was neither briefed nor consulted.

Speaking with BBC, Hausa Service he said: “I will go to Kano very soon and speak with some of the members, especially the Speaker and the governor on what is happening.

“Rabiu Kwankwaso has burnt his hands over dictating what to do. We are still with the governor. It is just a matter of offering advice, and if you are not asked to do so, you keep quiet so long as things are going right. We just pray and hope that they would succeed.”

Daily Trust Saturday had reported that Kwankwaso had revealed that the chieftaincy law would be revisited.

He, however, said, “When I said we would revisit the case, I didn’t say the direction to follow. I just said it would be reviewed. When I go there I will hear what happened; and I am sure they will tell me whatever happened, and whatever they tell me, we will just pray for them. I heard that the Assembly members have repealed the law.

“What we were telling them was that they should go and investigate whether what happened was done out of goodwill or not. What happened appears to be a vendetta or cheating? It is just a matter of: Did Ganduje do right or wrong? It is not about going against him.”

Speaking further about the future of the emirate in relation to political influence, he said, “Those that are looking at it from the perspective of whether it is going to be tenure-based are somehow right, but who started it? When I came back as governor in 2011, everybody knew that the late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, was not supporting us. He was supporting Shekarau, but when we got into power we didn’t think of dethroning him. This is why we are telling people that everybody should sit where he belongs.”

✝️📗DAILY FOUNTAIN DEVOTIONAL
Date: 2024-May -25

🎯TOPIC: DO NOT BE DOUBTFUL!

✝️ TEXT: Philippians 4: 4-9(NKJV)
4:4. Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
4:5. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord [is] at hand.
4:6. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
4:7. and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
4:8. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things [are] noble, whatever things [are] just, whatever things [are] pure, whatever things [are] lovely, whatever things [are] of good report, if [there is] any virtue and if [there is] anything praiseworthy -- meditate on these things.
4:9. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

✝️ STUDY: Paul in today's lesson was emphasising what the nature of the Christian life should be in all situations. His message here to the church at Philippi was to rejoice in every condition even when such conditions were adverse. Though Paul was talking to the Philippian church, it is important we know that the message is for all Christians. He was actually saying that Christians should put their trust in God, for He works all things together for His purposes (Rom. 8: 28; Psa. 55: 22). Paul was saying that instead of wallowing in worry, Christians should communicate with God in prayer. He argued that such prayer should be presented with a heart of thanksgiving, because by so doing, we would not be ungrateful to God who is in charge of all situations. As Christians, we are not expected to worry as doing so amounts to doubting God's ability to take care of all things and to work all things together for our good. Rather, we should put our mind into control, communicate with God in faith and focus on that which is true (Eph. 4: 25), that which is noble (2Cor. 8: 21), that which is right (1Thess. 5: 22; James 3: 17). We must keep our minds on pure, lovely and admirable things of life (1Cor. 13: 4-7). By observing all these, we shall experience the peace of God that passes all human understanding.

✝️prayer: Help me, O Lord, to conquer doubt and relyon you absolutely in Jesus' Name. Amen!
Religion / Looking Unto Jesus I by Mogbonjubola55: 10:20pm On May 24
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: John 3:14

Human beings have been in search of the way back to their Maker since after the fall. The soul of man pants after the peace that only his Maker can provide. This is the reason man invented means of getting along with God in the name of religion. Unfortunately, man was unable to adequately reach out to his Maker until God in His mercies revealed Himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ.

“And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. Genesis 3:9-10

Adam was sent out of the Garden of Eden and he became a wanderer and a destitute of the peace that he once had with his Maker. After many dispensations, God decided to reveal part of Himself to some people who sincerely sought to know Him. He related to Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and the prophets to mention just a few. They did not only benefit form God’s self-revelation; they also helped their generation by pointing them to the Almighty God. Yet, the perfect relationship was not in view then. When the fullness of time came, God became man and lived among men in the person of Jesus Christ. When one of the disciples asked Him to reveal God the Father to them, Jesus said: “…Have I been so long time with you and yet hast thou not know me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?...”  John 14:9-10

Jesus Christ is the perfect revelation of God, the father. He came to reveal the Father to us so that we may know how best to worship Him. It was through His teaching that we know that God is a Spirit and whoever wants to worship Him must worship Him in Spirit. He told us that unless we are born-again, we cannot see the Kingdom of God. Religious activities are exercise in futility without this experience. Not until He came, even Doctors of the Jewish religious laws were ignorant of these principles of God’s Kingdom. Therefore we must always look unto Jesus for direction if we want to make it back to the One who created us in His own image. Our text says to look up unto Jesus because He is the author and finisher of our faith.
I encourage someone reading this devotional to look unto Jesus for salvation, for deliverance, for healing, for material prosperity and eternal life.

Jesus Christ my Saviour, I look unto You today, perfect everything concerning my life please.

and also there is not just one teaching that the Catholic church wants you to see as divine revelation, there are numerous. like the veneration of Mary, confession to a priest, baptism of infants, eucharist being the true body and blood of christ. none of these have 'solid' roots in scripture.
You have already confessed that God did not tell you that Catholics are not Christians. So, it is pointless arguing further in that regard. Please, quote exactly any sentence that the Catholics use to pray to Mary.

At first, you claimed that Catholics are not Christians. You later admitted that the statement is wrong.

You claimed that God took you away from the Catholic because Catholics are not Christians. You later said that God did not tell you that Catholics are not Christians. This shows that you tried using your sentiment to condemn Catholics.

Now, answer the following questions:
1.
You have said that the Catholic taught you to pray to Mary. Please which Catholic parish or Catholic priest taught you to pray to Mary?

Religion / Re: How Were Jesus's Alone Moments Recorded In The Gospels? by advocatejare(m): 2:30pm On May 24
AbuTwins:
In the Bible, there are several instances where Jesus was alone or sought solitude. These moments of solitude or being alone were often recorded in the Gospels, i just wonder how these many instances were recorded.

Here are some examples of these instances in the Bible:

1. Mark 1:35:
- "And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed."
- This verse from the Gospel of Mark highlights Jesus seeking solitude in the early morning to pray.

2. Luke 5:16:
- "And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed."
- In this passage from the Gospel of Luke, Jesus is depicted as withdrawing to the wilderness to pray, emphasizing his need for solitude and communion with God.

3. Matthew 14:23:
- "And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone."
- This verse from the Gospel of Matthew illustrates Jesus sending the crowds away and retreating to a mountain to pray alone.

4. Matthew 4:1-11 Jesus was tempted alone
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”
Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]”

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”

Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

These instances in the Gospels portray Jesus intentionally seeking solitude, often for prayer, reflection, rest, etc.

Since there was no one with Jesus, how were these incidences vividly portrayed as if there was a recorder around with Jesus?

...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Possible Postulations
The Gospel writers, Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John, recorded the moments when Jesus was alone through various means, even though no one else was physically present with Jesus during these private moments.

Here's how they could have captured and conveyed these instances:

1. Through Jesus' Later Communication:
- Jesus may have later shared these experiences with his disciples, and they could have recounted these moments based on his descriptions. The disciples, especially those who were close to Jesus, could have preserved these intimate details in their memories.

The error in this is that Jesus couldn't have told them what happen with such details and clarity! And Jesus never met Luke and Mark!

2. Through Divine Inspiration:
- The Gospel writers believed to have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write down the accounts of Jesus' life and teachings. It is possible that the Spirit guided them to include these private moments in their narratives, even if they were not physically present during those times.

The error in this is that the holy spirit would never make mistakes! There have been many mistakes found in the gospels. So we can rule out any Holy Spirit divine inspiration. More so, Luke confessed in Luke 1:1 that Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, so all of them were just drawing up accounts based on hearsays, eyewitnesses and other documents handed over to them!

3. Through Disciples' Observations:
- While the disciples may not have been present during every solitary moment of Jesus, they could have witnessed him seeking solitude on various occasions and understood the importance of these moments in his ministry. They might have highlighted these instances based on their observations of Jesus' habits.

While this can be true to a large extent, it can't give a clear picture as to what Jesus was doing!
For Example:

Who was peeping when Jesus was alone?

4. Through Jesus' Actions and Teachings:
- Jesus' actions and teachings often reflected his need for solitude and prayer. The Gospel writers could have inferred these private moments of Jesus based on his behavior, words, and the significance he placed on prayer and communion with God.

This could be true. But inferences can never be passes off as reality!
......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
More Criticism cool

1. Absence of Direct Witness:
- One counterargument is that without direct witnesses to Jesus' solitary moments, the Gospel writers may have relied on speculation, creative interpretation, or theological reflection to include these details in their narratives. This lack of firsthand observation raises questions about the accuracy and authenticity of the accounts.

2. Literary Devices:
- Critics may argue that the Gospel writers used literary devices, symbolism, or narrative techniques to convey spiritual truths or theological themes rather than strict historical accuracy. The inclusion of alone moments could be seen as a literary device to emphasize Jesus' divine nature or spiritual significance. But which kind literary device be that?

3. Community Traditions:
- Some scholars suggest that the Gospel writers were influenced by community traditions, oral stories, and theological beliefs of early Christian communities. The inclusion of Jesus' alone moments could have been shaped by the theological agendas or perspectives of these communities rather than direct historical accounts. I still don't get why you'll create alone moment to create a theology around your own belief!

4. Theological Interpretation:
- Another counterargument is that the Gospel writers may have interpreted Jesus' actions and teachings through a theological lens, emphasizing his divinity, messianic mission, or role as the Son of God. The portrayal of Jesus' alone moments could reflect theological themes rather than strict historical accuracy. Theological themes again?

5. Narrative Harmonization:
- Critics of the Gospel accounts may highlight the practice of narrative harmonization, where later writers or editors sought to harmonize and reconcile different Gospel narratives. The inclusion of Jesus' alone moments across multiple Gospels could be a result of this editorial process rather than individual eyewitness testimony. This is harmonization gone too far! Why edit this much?

a year ago, back then when my faith in the Catholic church was as strong as ever,I could even defend the faith against protestants! then one night I had a dream in which I saw myself in confusion then a group of women dressed in your typical church choir girl clothes(white and blue) came and grabbed me away from the place the confusion was.then I was at ease with myself.they gathered round me and started laying hands praying for me....many prayers actually but the one prayer I heard very clearly was "I bless you with the gift of discernment" then the dream ended. so from that day I have been asking God to make that gift to discern come alive.with prayer and fasting.so then this year when i returned exhausted from school I just decided to read God's word,it was a long time I did that tho. so while reading I stummbled on matthew 15:9.which Jesus condemned putting teachings of men as God's own laws. And then immediately my mind just envisioned the catholic church...from that day I started losing faith in the church,I read more of the Bible and saw the diffs with what The Holy See or the Papacy teaches.then one day I decided to stop beating around the bush.I prayed to God that he should enlighten me on if I should leave the church or stay,I prayed with my room mate at that time.that very night God's voice visited me in a dream, that was really quick😅thanks God! cause I was expecting him to answer maybe like months or weeks from now or something, but he is God am I right? so the voice told me to go to the chapel of the good shephard(a bible teaching church on campus of which I had no idea it even existed)and I did,and right now I feel so much better right now,like...like I know this is what God wants for me.
people might come now and find some fault in what I said or oppose me,but I dont care! all I know is that God gave me when I asked and he has saved me!
"my soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my saviour,
for he has regarded the low estate of his servant.
for behold,all generations will call me blessed;
for he who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
and his mercy on those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm,
he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts,
he had put down the mighty from their thrones ,
and exalted those of low degree;
he has filled the starving with good things,
and the rich he has sent empty away.
He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy,
as he spoke to our fathers,to Abraham and to his posterity forever"
I carefully read all you wrote here.

No part of it justifies the caption of this thread.

2.
No part of it identifies any teaching of men that the Papacy presents as a law of God.

whatever you think about the Catholics respecting the Virgin Mary does not matter here. What matters here is that you have not been able to use any bible passage to condemn the act of respecting the Virgin Mary. Therefore, you have no fact against the Catholic Church in this case.

Abia Christians celebrate Israel at 76, pray for peace

Christians in Abia State have celebrated the state of Israel at 76 years of statehood while praying for peace in that region.

Under the auspices of the Abia State chapter of Christian United for Israel prayer Outreach, they include orthodox churches under the umbrella of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Pentecostal Federation of Nigeria.

During the occasion, prayers were offered to God to continue to abide by his people, the state of Israel, which came to be on 14th May 1948 through a six-day war led by one-eyed General, Moshe Dayan.

In his brief remark during the occasion, the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Michael Freeman, who delivered a letter from the state of Israel to CUFI through the 2024 state coordinator of CUFI, Rev. Dr. Chris Nwachukwu, said, “It is my honour and pleasure to celebrate with you today and to express my gratitude to the management, and all involved with the Christian United For Israel prayer Outreach and the incredible young people who have come together from different parts of the country to celebrate Israel at 76.

“This year, we mark and celebrate our 76th Independence Day, but our hearts are still heavy with the memory of 1200 Israelis and others who were brutally murdered by Hamas on October 7.

“And still today, 132 Israelis and other citizens are still being held by Hamas in their terror dungeons in Gaza. Together we must demand their release and pray for their safe returns.

“Israel continues to thrive as a diverse and vibrant democracy, a leader in agriculture and technology, entrepreneurship and innovation and human development and ingenuity. Together with our friends and partners in Nigeria, we will continue to build a better future for all of us, our children and grandchildren.

In his opening address, the 2024 state coordinator of CUFI, Rev. Dr. Nwachukwu, called for prayers for the unity of Christians and churches and prayers for Israel, stating that as of date, many had been displaced and the land divided into three units.

He said that the great golden dome in the region signifies Islam, which occupies the major part of Israel, noting that Muslims and Jews occupy 76 per cent of Israel, with Palestine wanting to occupy Gaza, making the Christians not to have control of the land.

In his admonition, the state chairman of the PFN, Bishop Chikezie Elekwa, described God as a “convent-keeping God,” noting that Israel has passed through a lot, adding, “They went from one captivity and enslavement to another. They were scattered everywhere, dead, and dried and had no idea that they would come up alive again. Today, this nation of Israel is standing as a great army and will never be defeated.”

Abia State governor, Alex Otti, represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Religious Matters, Apostle K. C. Wiper, said as Israel is the firstborn to God, Nigeria is the second born, stating, “As Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, Abia State is the capital of Nigeria.”

Archbishop Chibuzo Raphael Opoko of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Umuahia Archdiocese, who was represented by the Bishop of Umuahia East Diocese, Right Rev. Ikechukwu Nkulo, used the opportunity to advise the state government to institute and solidify its pilgrims’ board.
