Religion / Re: Why Do Armed Robbers, Cultists, Witches,Demons Fear Some Christians But Not All? by jmoore(m): 9:23am On May 26
A bus of one chance brought in many of their victims into a compound. They picked one person at a time to kill. They were probably ritualists or organ harvesters.

They kept skipping a particular lady, this lady managed to hide her phone and was able to send sms to her father who was a pastor and her father started praying.

Whenever it reached when they will pick the woman, they skipped her. Later, they told the woman that a prayer is disturbing their work. They made arrangement and dropped the woman in a location where she can find her way home.

The tactic would seem to be to get someone to come out and get robbed, kidnapped or killed. My take is ignore the bastarrds. But if you want to prove you're brave, well, do it wisely by coming out in full force to take out the robber(s) - but note that that way you're risking yourself foolishly. Even if you're a prayer warrior, know that the bad guys also have prayer warriors among them or as their backers so equation balanced.

Religion / Faith: Revealing Jesus by AbundantLife05: 6:17am On May 26
ABUNDANT LIFE VISION
Faith: Revealing Jesus. Romans 10:5-13
For Moses writes that the law’s way of making a person right with God requires obedience to all of its commands. [6]But faith’s way of getting right with God says, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will go up to heaven?’ (to bring Christ down to earth). [7]And don’t say, ‘Who will go down to the place of the dead?’ (to bring Christ back to life again).” [8]In fact, it says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart. “And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: [9]If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10]For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. [11]As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” [12]Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. [13]For “Everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved.” NLT.

Good morning dear friends, I am pleased to welcome you to today’s teaching. I pray that God will speak to us as we learn at His feet in the name of Jesus. Over the next three weeks, we will be looking at the topic Faith and today, we will consider “Faith: Revealing Jesus”. During a teaching series last year titled; “The Faith of our Fathers”, I defined Faith simply as believing. I went on to say that there are three dimensions to Faith. The first dimension is the saving Faith which deals with declaring Jesus as one’s Lord and Saviour, the second dimension is believing in God in order to receive things from Him, and the third dimension is Faith manifesting as good deeds. These are the parts of Faith that we will discuss in the next three weeks.

Let me state this clearly, Faith is to believe and the first stage in believing is to believe in God. Hebrews 11:6: And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. NLT. The important thing to note here is that the only way to get to God is through Jesus Christ. John 14:6: Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. NLT.

Therefore, everyone who have walked in faith in the past have done so by firstly believing in God. Abraham believed in God and he received the promise God gave him. Also, other great men of faith in the Bible walked with God by believing in Him. However, there was a way God revealed Himself to people in the Old Testament but now, God has revealed Himself to us perfectly through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:1-3: Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. [2]And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. [3]The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. NLT. Any Faith we have, must firstly acknowledge Jesus as the saviour who connects us to the Father. This is the first step of Faith.
We must believe in God for the grace to be saved from our sins. Our Faith in God through our confession that Jesus Christ is the Lord qualifies us to be saved from eternal condemnation and the nature of sin.

Therefore, salvation is not achieved through one’s effort but it is achieved by believing in Jesus Christ. This is the basis of making heaven. Ephesians 2:8: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. NLT. Also, by believing in Jesus Christ, we get to receive the life of God which disconnect us from our sinful nature. Consequentially, the life of God in us prevents us from sinning because we have been born of God. 1 John 3:7-10: Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. [8]But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. [9]Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. [10]So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God. NLT.

All in all, the first point of faith is confessing Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, this is the first step in walking with God. Any faith aimed at receiving from God alone without walking with him is selfish and ineffective in the long run. God wants to save our souls and He has made salvation available for everyone. Eternity is far important than worldly acquisition. On this note, if you are reading this and you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, I urge you to do so by saying this prayer wholeheartedly; Lord Jesus, I confess you as my Lord and saviour today, please save me and be my lord and I will be your witness till the end. Amen. If you have recited the prayer wholeheartedly, I congratulate you and I welcome you to the family of God. Make sure you join a bible believing church as you start your journey in Christ.

God bless you.

SUNDAY 26TH MAY

THEME: MANIFESTING THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM

THEME SCRIPTURE: All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom (Psalm 145:10-12).

Our opening verse tells us something striking about God’s Kingdom that we’re a part of: it’s a Kingdom with glory and power! A word I’d like to elaborate on is “glory.” The Bible says God’s saints shall speak of His glory. It also says they’ll make known the glorious majesty of His Kingdom. But what does glory mean?

Many times, people use the term “glory” without knowing what it really means. Glory is that which inspires, produces or causes honour. When something happens and that thing causes you to give honour, admiration and respect to another, that thing is said to be glorious.

Therefore, to say a meeting was glorious means that it inspired people to worship the Lord; they were inspired to praise Him. The meeting caused the attendees to respond in honour of God.

When Jesus turned water to wine at a wedding ceremony, the Bible says, “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him” (John 2:11). When they saw what He did by turning water to wine, they were amazed. He manifested forth His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. They honoured and revered Him.

Now, you can understand when the Bible says, “They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom (Psalm 145:11). What’s in the Kingdom of God that we’re talking about? It’s a kingdom where sickness isn’t real, where defeat doesn’t exist; it’s a kingdom where life and immortality reign.

This is the Kingdom of God that we’re born into in Christ. 1 Peter 2:9 (AMPC) says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” As you walk in the light of who you are in Christ, you’re showing forth the glory of the Kingdom.

prayer
Dear Father, thank you for the glory of your Word in my life. You’ve called me into your glorious Kingdom, making me a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light! I walk in your glory, dominion and power today, manifesting your excellence to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY
Isaiah 60:1 – Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Romans 8:19 – For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

John 2:11 AMPC – This, the first of His signs (miracles, wonderworks), Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory [by it He displayed His greatness and His power openly], and His disciples believed in Him [adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him].

LIFE AND TIME (Part 266)

LIFE: Living Into Future Enterprise.

TIME: Thinking Into Momentary Enterprise.

The words you hear and the actions you take on those words are the building blocks that shapes you into who and whatever you’ll be in life.

Even God fought the battle of words to create.

Aside from Jesus’ battle of words with Satan in Matthew 4:1-10; we shall look into the power of words a little deeper.

John 1:1-3
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Emphatically looking at verse 3; “all things were made by WORD, and without WORD was not any thing made that was made.

Every battle in life starts with word, as well as every peace one can ever enjoy in this life.

To be continued…

prayer: LORD, in your mercy, restore the potency of your Word in my mouth in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen!

*REMEMBER: THE GREATEST DISABILITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST IS LACK OF LOVE.*

Thank you for your time and God bless you greatly…

I love you...

✝️📗DAILY FOUNTAIN DEVOTIONAL
Date: 2024-May -26
(Trinity Sunday)

🎯TOPIC: REVERENCE GOD ALWAYS

✝️ TEXT: Psalm 29: 1-11(NKJV)
29:1.Give unto the LORD, O you mighty ones, Give unto the LORD glory and strength.
29:2. Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
29:3. The voice of the LORD [is] over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The LORD [is] over many waters.
29:4. The voice of the LORD [is] powerful; The voice of the LORD [is] full of majesty.
29:5. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, Yes, the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon.
29:6. He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.
29:7. The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire.
29:8. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; The LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
29:9. The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says, "Glory!"
29:10. The LORD sat [enthroned] at the Flood, And the LORD sits as King forever.
29:11. The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace.

✝️ STUDY: David the writer of this psalm presented God who reveals Himself in so many ways, even in the storm. He invited all that God has created to worship and thank Him (vv. 1&2). Though it is Trinity Sunday, this psalm manifests the oneness of God as against the false belief of the pagans who assigned a god to various manifestations of nature. In this Psalm, David invited all that God has created to worship the Creator and not the creature. He does this by identifying what God is capable of doing, what He has done and what He is going to do to deserve our praises (vv. 3-11). Even in the midst of anguish and pain, God reveals Himself; where it looks very impossible, He still reveals Himself. So, for these reasons, no other deity deserves our praises and worship but God only.Beloved, it is important we know that though the storm reveals the power of God, His power would bring peace to us if only we believe in Him. This is because peace will only come from the one who has power to control all things. So, in all we do, we must always recognize, adore, praise, worship and glorify God, for He is the only one who is worthy of all these.

✝️prayer: Lord, please grant me the grace to always reverence You in all I do in Jesus' Name. Amen!

Praise GOD
GODSPOWERPROJECT

Glory to GOD, One of life’s most exciting experiences is knowing that Almighty GOD, Creator of the whole universe listens to our individual prayers;-

How To Pray And Get What You Pray for

First, most of us have to change our negative and unattractive image of GOD, which sometimes hinder and stand between GOD and us.
GOD is not a schoolmaster that scolds you (for things you have done or haven’t done)
In reality, GOD does not scold us, HE welcomes us, If anything, HE wonders why you waited so long

(Luke.15- The prodigal son)
See what a welcome he got just as soon as he turned around to go back home
That’s a beautiful picture of how GOD receives us,
HE does not scold or blame us
HE is loving, warm and gracious
Once we get that picture, it altogether changes how we pray
(James.1;5- GOD gives generously and does not find faults)
Jesus came to represent GOD to humanity, and His (Jesus's) teachings on prayers were as positive
(Matt.7; 7-8- Ask and receive, Seek and find, Knock and open)
(Matt.21;22- Ask in prayer. ‘believing’ and you shall receive)

By Faith, we receive what we pray for
(John.14;13-14- Jesus assures us of we pray for in His Name)
(John.15;7- Ask whatever you wish in Jesus name)
(John.16;24- Ask in Jesus name that your joy may be full

Jesus wants us to have that special kind of joy that comes from seeing that our prayers are heard by GOD

Final Note: What GOD wants us to become to HIM through Jesus Christ
(Rev.1;5-6- through the forgiveness of our sins and the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, GOD wants us to become a Kingdom of Priests or simply put, Kings and Priests; two of the highest functions available to man)
What Kings do; Kings rule/ govern territories
What Priests do; Priests offer holy spiritual sacrifices (Prayers and Petitions) acceptable to GOD (1Pet;2;5)
To be in the Kingdom, we have to be Priests; in other words, We learn to Rule by Praying

We know that all things work together for good to them that love God.. Romans 8:28

We might never have had the songs of Fanny Crosby had she not been afflicted with blindness. George Matheson would never have given the world his immortal song, “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go,” had it not been for his passing through the furnace of affliction. The “Hallelujah Chorus” was written by George Frederick Handel when he was poverty-stricken and suffering from a paralyzed right side and right arm. Affliction may be for our edification and Christian development. Sickness is one of the “all things” which work together for good to them that love God.

Don’t resent it. Don’t be embittered by it.

INVALUABLE STRATEGIES OF THE SPIRIT FOR PASTORS AND MINISTRY LEADERS AT THE ONGOING GLOBAL MINISTERS’ CLASSROOM WITH PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

The much anticipated Global Ministers’ Classroom (GMC) with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, is ongoing with millions of Ministers classrooms connected globally!

The Scripture says in Ephesians 4 verse 13, “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,…..unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ”

Today, this scripture is come alive as we witness Millions of Ministers gathered in the unity of faith for the work of the Gospel, in the ongoing Global Ministers’ Classroom with the man of God, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome DSc. DSc. DD.

This 24 hour history-making program kicked off at 2pm GMT+1 on Friday 24th May, with a warm welcome address by the Director of the International School of Ministry, Pastor Deola Phillips, setting the tone for Ministers’ participating to receive all that the Lord has prepared for the program. In her welcome address, she stated that the Global Ministers’ Classroom is a time of launching out by working together as ministers to do so much for the Lord. In stressing the importance of the impact of Ministers of the Gospel, she reiterated that “when one minister is impacted, the Christians are impacted”.

In the hours already into the ongoing program, it has been a phenomenal time of rapturous worship by the Loveworld Singers, effective prayer sessions led by seasoned Ministers of the Gospel, revelatory teachings, riveting panel discussions, and the distribution of Grace for the work of the Church in these last days.

The height of the sessions so far, was the opening and plenary session by the President of the Loveworld Inc., Reverend Chris Oyakhilome DSc. DSc. DD, where he unravelled deep truths from the word of God. He began by welcoming the ministers in attendance to a special time of fellowship with one another, which he also termed a time to review the work of the gospel as ministers.

In his insightful teaching, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome emphasised on the unity of the Church, and the need for ministers to encourage and strive towards it. Reading from the scriptures in Matthew 4:23, Mark 1.14, 1 John 5.11 and others, the man of God took the Ministers in 3 Fundamental Blessings of the Gospel. He further enlightened the global participants on the true meaning of ‘Eternal Life’, stating that Eternal Life is the organic and existential attribute of deity. It is the life that God describes Himself in the scripture to differentiate Him from all others that might be called gods. In course of his session, he answered several questions from ministers around the world, and then concluded by encouraging Ministers of the Gospel to pray for one another. This ushered in other sessions of insightful time of the Word, inspiring testimonies, and impactful discussions, with prophetic declarations of the spirit enveloping all participants in an atmosphere of oneness by the spirit.

This ongoing program is increasing in Glory, as we look forward to a special session of profound teaching by the world renowned televangelist, Pastor Benny Hinn, from the United States of America, along side other seasoned ministers of the Gospel.

The climax of this auspicious program will be a closing plenary session by Rev. Chris Oyakhilome. So, Spread the word to every minister of the gospel in your sphere of contact.

The ISM Global Ministers Classroom with Pastor Chris is currently ongoing and there's still so much more to expect. Log on to www.ismglobalministersclassroom.org to participate.

Foreign Affairs / Calls, Search Parties, Drones: 17 Hours To Find Iran’s President ( Pics) by Holiness2100: 7:53pm On May 25
IRANIAN PRESIDENT'S DEATH:
Calls, Search Parties, Drones: 17 Hours to Find Iran’s President

Shortly before embarking on a fatal helicopter ride on Sunday, Iran’s president, Ebrahim Raisi, and his delegation of senior officials held a communal prayer. Someone suggested having lunch, but the president demurred, saying he was in a hurry to reach his next destination.

Mr. Raisi boarded the aircraft and sat by a window. The foreign minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, stopped for a picture with a crowd that was swarming the tarmac. He smiled and placed one hand over his chest while holding a brown briefcase in the other.

Around 1 p.m., a convoy of three helicopters took off from a helipad on Iran’s border with Azerbaijan, with the president’s craft in the middle. But about half an hour into the flight, the president’s helicopter vanished.

Calls to passengers on the president’s helicopter were met with silence until one answered. “I don’t know what happened,” Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Al-Hashem said, sounding distraught. “I am not feeling well.” Two hours later, his phone, too, went silent.

As a frenzied 17-hour search unfolded, government officials began an aggressive effort to guard against possible threats from abroad and, especially, unrest at home, mindful of an uprising led by women and girls in 2022 that demanded the end of the Islamic Republic.

While Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was reassuring Iranians on national television that they need not fear any disruption to the country’s security, officials were scrambling.
Iran placed its Armed Forces on high alert, worried that enemies like Israel or ISIS might carry out covert strikes.

It directed media coverage of the crash, controlling the flow of information and banning any suggestions that the president was dead.

The government deployed plainclothes security agents on the streets of Tehran and other big cities to prevent antigovernment protests or celebrations of Mr. Raisi’s death, and the cybersecurity units of the police and the Intelligence Ministry monitored posts by Iranians on social media.

This account of what happened in the hours after the crash was pieced together from the accounts of senior Iranian officials traveling with the president; reports and videos from state television; government statements; open-source reports and video footage; five Iranian officials, including two members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps; three Iranian diplomats; a former vice president; several Iranian journalists; and a photographer who was present at the crisis-management center near the crash and who participated in the search.

The president and a delegation of senior officials traveled earlier Sunday to Iran’s border with Azerbaijan to inaugurate a joint dam project. When the three helicopters carrying them took off, there was a dense overcast, videos published on state media showed.

Also on the helicopter carrying Mr. Raisi and Mr. Amir Abdollahian, the foreign minister, were Mr. Al-Hashem, who was the Friday prayer imam of the northern city of Tabriz; Malek Rahmati, the governor of East Azerbaijan Province; and Gen. Seyed Mehdi Mousavi of the Ansar unit of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, Iran’s equivalent of the Secret Service, who was the chief of presidential security.

The helicopters followed a planned flight route but shortly after takeoff encountered a thick fog in a valley of rolling green mountains.

Mehrdad Bazrpash, the minister of transportation, and Gholam-Hossein Esmaili, the president’s chief of staff, were in the lead helicopter. It had just emerged from the fog when they noticed a commotion in the cockpit.

Mr. Bazrpash asked the pilot what was going on, he told state television in a recollection of those first hours. They had lost track of the president’s helicopter, and it was not responding to radio calls, the pilot told him, suggesting it might have made an emergency landing. The pilot turned around, Mr. Bazrpash said, circling the area several times, but the fog blocked visibility and descending into the valley was too risky.

The two helicopters eventually landed at a copper mine in the mountains in northwest Iran, 46 miles from the closest town. In a matter of hours, a modest office building there would be transformed into an ad hoc crisis-management center, with hundreds of officials, military commanders and even hikers and off-road motorcyclists, Azin Haghighi, a photographer from Tabriz who was at the center, said in a telephone interview.

On state television, Mr. Esmaili said he called the cellphones of Mr. Raisi, Mr. Amir Abdollahian, Mr. Al-Hashem and one other official. Nobody answered.

He dialed the pilot’s number, but it was Mr. Al-Hashem who finally answered.

“Where are you?” Mr. Esmaili asked, recounting the conversation. “What happened? Can you give us a sign to find your location? Can you see the others? Are they all right?”

“I’m in the middle of the trees,” he said. “I’m alone. I can’t see anyone.”

When Mr. Esmaili pressed him for more details, the cleric described being in a forest with burned trees. In subsequent calls, his voice began to fade, and he sounded more confused. After about two hours, he stopped responding.

Mr. Bazrpash called the national aerospace control center for the helicopter’s coordinates, but technicians there could provide only an estimate of the crash area, and because of the site’s remoteness, they could not trace phone signals.

The exact location remained elusive. There was no signal from the helicopter. Panic began to set in as officials on the other helicopters realized that the president’s aircraft had crashed violently and that Mr. Raisi, who was widely seen as a likely successor to the supreme leader, and others on board were either gravely injured or dead.

The officials notified Tehran and requested emergency search-and-rescue teams, but they took hours to arrive, slowed by the hazardous weather and narrow roads that snaked around the mountains, Mr. Bazrpash said in an interview with state television.

Mr. Bazrpash said that the officials in the presidential party did not wait for the emergency crews but set out themselves in cars with people from the copper mine. But amid fog, wind and rain, he said, they were forced to abandon the cars and walk to villages nearby, hoping the local people could help them find the crash site. The effort proved futile, he said, and they returned to the mine.

In Tehran, Mohammad Mokhber, the first vice president who is now the acting president, oversaw a scheduled cabinet meeting. Although he knew about the crash and the possibility that Mr. Raisi had died, he carried on with mundane government business and waited until the end of the meeting to break the news to the rest of the cabinet, according to Ali Bahadori Jahromi, the government spokesman.

Mr. Khamenei, the supreme leader, who had been informed of the accident immediately after officials established that the president’s helicopter was missing, called an emergency meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council at his home, advising its members to maintain order and project strength, according to a member of the Guards Corps and a government official who were briefed on the meeting but were not authorized to discuss it publicly.

The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance called media organizations and set guidelines for coverage, issuing a gag order against insinuating that the president and other officials might be dead, said four journalists in Iran who requested anonymity for fear of retribution.

The first reports, saying that the president’s helicopter had “made a hard landing,” appeared on state television in early afternoon. For hours, disinformation circulated on official and semiofficial news outlets, with some reports that Mr. Raisi was driving back to Tabriz or was safe and sound, or that passengers on the helicopter said they had all survived.

An Iranian businessman and a media analyst, both with large followings on social media, said in interviews that the Intelligence Ministry contacted them around 6 p.m. Sunday and told them to delete social posts about the crash. The intelligence wing of the Guards Corps arrested a person they said had posted inaccurate information about the president’s helicopter, Fars News reported on Thursday.

By around 11 p.m. Sunday, however, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance asked state media to switch to calling for prayers and told them to prepare for an official announcement in the morning.

Back at the mine, Gen. Hossein Salami, the commander in chief of the Guards, had taken command of the operation there, settling into a conference room where a large screen projected a 3-D map of the crash area.

“It was chaotic; everyone was on edge,” Mr. Haghighi, the photographer, said. “Search groups would go out in batches and return saying it was impossible to see anything. Inside the control center, people were shouting, running from room to room and desperate for news.”

Iran needed its advanced drones to locate the crash site, but they had been deployed to the Red Sea, so the country had to turn to Turkey, asking it for a drone, a statement from Iran’s Armed Forces said.
Ultimately, though, an advanced Iranian drone returned from the Red Sea and found the crash site, the statement said.

At the first sign of light Monday, rescue teams headed out on foot. Mr. Haghighi, who accompanied one of them, said it took them an hour and half to hike up a steep mountain and then down through a muddy forest.

The first to reach the site, however, were the volunteer motorcyclists. Video shows one of them running through the trees, yelling, “Haj Agha, Haj Agha,” as he shouts for Mr. Raisi using a term of endearment. When he encounters the broken tail of the helicopter, the charred wreckage and luggage scattered on the ground, he wails, “Allah o Akbar, ya Hussein,” evoking God and a Shiite imam.

The helicopter had exploded in a ball of fire on impact, the Armed Forces said in a statement, later adding that a preliminary investigation showed no signs of foul play or bullets on the aircraft.
But many officials have questioned whether security protocols were observed and why the president traveled by air under stormy conditions.

The bodies of Mr. Raisi and Mr. Amir Abdollahian were discovered near the debris. They were both burned beyond recognition, according to the three officials in Tehran, two members of the Guards and Mr. Haghighi, who saw the bodies.

Mr. Raisi was identified by his ring, and Mr. Amir Abdollahian by his watch.

Crime / Re: Naira Abuse: EFCC Arrests Woman In Gombe by virginboy1(m): 4:46pm On May 25
chatinent:
1. EFCC arrests the poor.

But...

The same EFCC invites the rich for questioning.

The difference is money.

If you check well, the crime of the poor cannot be compared to that of the rich but they cannot be jailed in Nigeria. That is why ex Kano gov could fight them and escape in this same Nigeria! But you as a poor man, try am now.

Spoiler: One certain time the members of the EFCC came over to my estate and, as you know, picked many boys...even scapegoats (an ice-cream seller waiting for change and etc). Now everyone was labelled a Yahoo Boy. You know they like numbers. Cos the more, the better. I dey watch from my window at the far rear of the other street when negotiations started and some was let go and they squeezed the rest.

Make I give una update: anybody wey you see say EFCC televise after catching, most times are those who didn't meet up the bribe (from the point of arrest).

2. During Environmental Sanitation in Nigeria, there's always a curfew (for the poor), and a pardon for those on essential duties (the rich). One of the two if caught will be squeezed and arrested, then heavily fined, while the other will be saluted and even begged for money by the taskforce.

The difference is your status.

3. The police is meant for the rich against the poor in Nigeria. The rich believe the poor are the major perpetrators of crime.

The police serve as security details for the rich, and they see the poor as another means to flex their powers, and of course extort them. That is why there's a kind of car you'll drive in Nigeria and no checkpoint can dare stop you. Even the soldiers!

Wanna try?

Buy two Hilux, two Tacoma muscle and two Prado. Mix the arrangement: the Hilux and Tacoma at the front and the other two at the back with both Prados in the centre...then drive at 180km/hr on any road in Nigeria. Even if you kidnapped a fellow citizen inside or carry drugs, the policemen, road safety, army, civil defence and gbogbotibgo cannot stop you. Instead, they will help you and be clearing the road off other vehicles and pedestrians.

4. Do you know it's safer to steal bigger sums in Nigeria than smaller sums?

If you steal ₦4000 in St Michaels, Aba, Abia State, before your people even know what's happened, you'd have been roasted by two tyres, two litres of fuel and general beating with only a grace to speak unless it's your last prayer you demand for.

But if you steal ₦50bn in Nigeria, do you know you will go scottfree? At all at all, dem go say make you forfeit ₦50m bail and they'll release you. Now think it, someone who stole ₦50bn is returning ₦50m. That's like stealing ₦100k and being told to return ₦1.

So stealing is legal for the rich. All laws made in Nigeria are for the poor.

I remember when one Road Safety officer stopped me. I was on seatbelt and had my driver's licence with an updated paperwork, fire extinguisher, triangle and even a new spare since I had changed the four tyres. Can you believe what the man threatened to charge me with as he saw nothing else? He said he'd charge me for not moving with my original papers but the photostat. I didn't utter a word and he spoke and got tired until another officer came, asked what happened and told me to go reprimanding him of the overdo. They later begged me for tips and guess what! I didn't give them politely.

5.You think I am lying? Do you know the cell or jail the big men stay in Nigeria is different from the one the poor men stay?

Mr Chairman, with these few points of mine, I wish to educate you that whatever you fit do to make money in Nigeria, just do it.

If you still don't have any reason to have money in Nigeria, just have the money.

I'm available for research writing. Thanks.

Stop trying to liberate Nigeria.

Free your region from shackles of corruption, cocaine trafficking, human trafficking and underdevelopment.

4. Apostle Paul: When we talk about sophisticated vocabulary, in depth analysis, dissection and expatiation of topics and matters concerning the gospel we talk about Apostle Paul. He had no issues with talking at length, with each sentence offering clarity. when you sit down and read Apostle Paul’s letters, you get the feeling that you are no where near an ideal Christian and that much is yet to be done in your journey to becoming Christ-like. Apostle Paul would appreciate men who not only share the same spiritual insights as he, but also are dynamic and skilful in the use of vocabulary, hold a substantial amount of charisma, can talk at great length and instil a spiritual charge on you. Apostle Paul would find himself oscillating between the ministries led by Apostle Mike Orokpo and Apostle Joshua Selman. When he found himself in a challenge (behind bars) with Silas, he famously prayed and sang. With the current reality of things in Nigeria, he would from time to time resort back to Deeper Life or Mountain of Fire ministries for intense and vigorous prayer sessions

Politics / Re: Mixed Feelings In Karaye, Bichi, Gaya, Rano As Dethroned Emirs Leave by McStoic(m): 12:22pm On May 25
adenigga:

Mixed reactions are trailing the removal of five first-class emirs in Kano State and the disbandment of the emirates, Daily Trust Saturday reports

A Federal High Court, Kano Division, had issued an order stopping the Kano State Government from proscribing the four emirate councils and the dethronement of their emirs, including the Emir of Kano, who was replaced by Muhammadu Sanusi 11.

Justice Mohammed Liman granted the order in an application by Alhaji Aminu Babba Dan Agundi, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of the Kano Emirate.

It would be recalled that former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje divided the Kano Emirate into five, creating and appointing first-class emirs for Bichi, Rano, Karaye and Gaya emirates after amending the Emirate Councils Law.

On Thursday, hours after the Kano State House of Assembly repealed the law, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf deposed the emirs.

These include the 15th Fulani Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero; the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero; the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa; the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II and the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir.

Our correspondents report that the recent development has elicited divergent reactions.

In Karaye, findings revealed that the deposed emir vacated his palace Thursday night as sympathisers gathered to bid him farewell.

There was noticeable presence of security personnel stationed within the palace and in some strategic places in Karaye town.

Also, members of the community were seen conducting their normal activities but with serious concerns over the developing situation.

Abdullahi Ali, a trader said: “It is a difficult situation for all of us. Honestly, I am afraid I cannot say anything.”

Malam Sani, who works in the local government area said, “Whatever you see is from Allah.”

In Bichi, the horses of the deposed emir, Nasiru Ado Bayero, were reportedly evacuated from the palace, together with his other personal belongings.

Gates leading to the palace were manned by security operatives, although residents were seen going about their normal businesses as Friday was market day in Bichi.

“The emir left days before the announcement of his removal. It was nostalgic, honestly,” said Ismail, a school teacher.

Bintu, who said she was indifferent said: “Our prayer is that politicians would find a way of sorting out their differences instead of using traditional institutions to settle scores.

“Look at what is happening; the truth is that it is not worth it because all the emirs are related. It is one family, things like these can create bad blood,” she said.

Similarly, in Gaya, people were seen going about their activities.

Residents said the former emir vacated the palace at midnight on Thursday.

Also, there was no sign of any form of violence or resistance in the town, even as there was the presence of armed security personnel within the town.

A resident, Abubakar Shuaibu, said some people were not happy with the development.

There was similar deployment of security operatives in Rano Emirate.

Our correspondents made efforts to speak with people within the traditional institutions in all the delisted emirates but they were not forthcoming.

Mixed Feelings In Karaye, Bichi, Gaya, Rano As Dethroned Emirs Leave divided over High Court order

Lawyers in Kano were divided yesterday on whether or not the Federal High Court that granted an interim injunction restraining operationalisation of the Kano Emirate Councils (Repeal) Law 2024 has jurisdiction in the matter.

Our correspondent reports that when Babba Dan Agundi, who is a senior title holder rushed to the Federal High Court in Kano, he pleaded with the judge, through his lawyers, to restrain all relevant stakeholders not to temper with the existing emirates.

The respondents in the fundamental rights case are the Kano State Government, the House of Assembly, the Speaker, the Attorney-General, Commissioner of Police, Inspector-General of Police, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the State Security Service.

Speaking on the development, Bashir Muhammad Tudun Wazirci, a lawyer, who defended Governor Yusuf at the Election Petition Tribunal, up to the Supreme Court, said that the judge who granted the order knew that he had no jurisdiction in the case, being a chieftaincy affair.

Tudun Wazirci said although the order had not been served on them, he was only commenting based on what he read in the social media.

Another lawyer, Umar Danbaito, said section 251 of the 1999 Constitution, which confers jurisdictional powers on the Federal High Court, did not include matters relating to chieftaincy affairs.

Danbaito argued that the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court was limited to issues relating to the federal government and its agencies, arms and ammunition, aviation and safety of aircraft, diplomatic, consular and trade representation, among others.

Another lawyer, Felix Jones Osimerhe, said the Federal High Court had no jurisdiction on chieftaincy affairs.

He said that even if it does, the state governor enjoys immunity; and therefore, contempt proceedings cannot be filed against him.

Also, Ali Jamilu said the Federal High Court had jurisdiction on issues relating to fundamental rights and not chieftaincy affairs.

He said Babba Dan Agundi and his lawyers hid under sections 45 and 46 to secure the order, noting that only a state High Court or Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court can adjudicate on issues to do with chieftaincy affairs.

Another lawyer, who does not want his name mentioned, said Babba Danagundi could be right if he could convince the Federal High Court that his fundamental human right was infringed upon.

Judge granted order from US – Gov Yusuf

Daily Trust Saturday reports that the reinstated emir was at the Kano Government House yesterday, where he received his appointment letter as the sole first-class Emir of Kano.

He landed in Kano late Thursday and was accorded a low key homecoming reception following security advice.

After issuing the reappointment letter to Emir Sanusi, Governor Yusuf vowed that he would report Justice Liman to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) for allegedly issuing the letter from the United States.

“The person that issued the court order was in America but ordering us to stop what we are doing. I must present this issue of abuse before the Governor’s Forum so that we can tackle it accordingly.

“We are agents of following due process, and that is why we did what we did openly before everybody. Those that are meant to maintain the rule of law must follow that also,” the governor said.

No man can take what God has given – Sanusi

On his part, the reinstated emir commended Governor Yusuf and members of the House of Assembly for “summoning courage” to save Kano State and Nigeria through his reinstatement.

“It is a testament that no man can take what God has given,” he said.

The emir spoke shortly after receiving his reinstatement.

He said: “The Arabians used to say that in everything we are going to witness, there is a lesson that shows us that God is there. Whatever is happening to an individual is preordained by Allah; and to those that are sensible enough, it is a lesson.

“God is one, and whatever he does, nobody can change, and what he doesn’t do, nobody can.

“About 10 years ago, in this same place, former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso gave me my appointment letter as the Emir of Kano. Today, I am here again receiving a reappointment letter from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“Time will not permit long talks. Whatever we will say we had said when we were leaving. We made it clear that God had preordained time and cause for everything and everyone. He gives leadership to whom he wants and at the time he wants. When he gives, no one can take it away, and when he takes it away, nobody can take it back.

“My governor and our Assembly members will not understand the gravity of what you did for the history of Kano and the country at large. Among Kano emirs, it started from Bagauda over 1, 000 years ago. In this year’s, it was once that we had Emir Muhammadu Koguna, who was overthrown and he came back after some days. This shows that in 1,000 years, there has been no case like what happened now.

“In the northern part of this country, we have seen in different states how politicians balkanised emirates with a state, with one emir becoming 20, some 19. In states of northern Nigeria, there are local governments with two or three first class emirs, all because the system has been destroyed.

“Had it been that this thing that was brought to Kano was allowed, one day we would wake up with emirs of Kumbotso, Bichi, Fagge and 44 others. So, what the government and the Assembly did is a rescue mission,” he said.

I’ve no idea of what happened in Kano – Kwankwaso

The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections and the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, said he had no idea of what happened in Kano as he was neither briefed nor consulted.

Speaking with BBC, Hausa Service he said: “I will go to Kano very soon and speak with some of the members, especially the Speaker and the governor on what is happening.

“Rabiu Kwankwaso has burnt his hands over dictating what to do. We are still with the governor. It is just a matter of offering advice, and if you are not asked to do so, you keep quiet so long as things are going right. We just pray and hope that they would succeed.”

Daily Trust Saturday had reported that Kwankwaso had revealed that the chieftaincy law would be revisited.

He, however, said, “When I said we would revisit the case, I didn’t say the direction to follow. I just said it would be reviewed. When I go there I will hear what happened; and I am sure they will tell me whatever happened, and whatever they tell me, we will just pray for them. I heard that the Assembly members have repealed the law.

“What we were telling them was that they should go and investigate whether what happened was done out of goodwill or not. What happened appears to be a vendetta or cheating? It is just a matter of: Did Ganduje do right or wrong? It is not about going against him.”

Speaking further about the future of the emirate in relation to political influence, he said, “Those that are looking at it from the perspective of whether it is going to be tenure-based are somehow right, but who started it? When I came back as governor in 2011, everybody knew that the late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, was not supporting us. He was supporting Shekarau, but when we got into power we didn’t think of dethroning him. This is why we are telling people that everybody should sit where he belongs.”
