Congratulations! I saw that you didn't get ADR for proof of funds. Please can you describe how you provided your pof? Did you use bank statement or letter? Did you use gift deed? How? If you don't mind, I could email you directly. My Sibling is gunning for the transport category as well. Thanks. kiari:
It’s PPR O’clock 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 A journey that started in 2018, getting first hand information from this goldmine of a platform, I am forever grateful. 🥹
Timeline…
2018 My friend told me about this the Canadian express entry program after she relocated via study route. Joined Nairaland and the trajectory of my life changed. It was all I could think of, I digested the infamous page 1 very well. Next things was to evaluate my bachelors degree and write ielts. Scores were in the 440’s. I sent my transcripts to WES within paying (lol), scores gradually increased to 450s and I knew I needed a second degree.
2019 The hunt for a second degree started, registered for CIMA and after 2 exams I knew I could not handle it, next was Noun PGD, in-fact that school eehn, I regret it till now (story for another day), finally I went for UNILAG hrdc, and I started my 6months degree program (Jun-Dec) I also wrote my first Ielts and I did not get my desired results 💔anyways we move… Wrote my final exams and we had to wait for results to come out the following year.
2020 With high hopes that I would get my results by January,UNILAG Senate said hold my beer 😥, by March 2020 results were out and immediately added it to my Wes application with my bachelors degree that has be gathering dust since 2018, I paid and BOOM 💥 COVID HAPPENED. We all know how that period, Omo everywhere shut down. Fast forward to June, WES received my unilag transcript and my evaluation came out. Wrote ielts for the 2nd time and I had a L8.5,R8.5,S8,W6.5, I wanted to faint, sent it for a remark and it came back unchanged. Picked up the courage and wrote it for the 3rd time this time I had L8.5 R7.5,S9,W7. I jumped into the pool with a CRS score of 468. I waited patiently and watched the scores go down with every draw that happened. December 2020 the final draw of the year and the score was 468, I danced and rejoiced, only for me to find out I was affected by tie-breaking rule 💔 Damn, moving on…
2021 The Long pause… No Fsw draws😭, tried everything to also get Oinp, MPNP, Nbpnp, Alberta pnp, none was forthcoming.
2022 The long pause continues… 2nd and 3rd ielts expired. I started looking into study visa (Uk, & Canada) applied and got rejected (Premium tears). Took my L in peace and moved on. Draws resumed but the scores were so high, chaii… I started French lessons and gave myself 1 year to write the exam.
2023 French lesson continued, also registered for my MBA classes, wrote 5th ielts, anything to get the extra points. While all these were happening & months passing by, the wave of bill c-19 news were spreading, ircc would invite candidates based on specific Noc, I told myself this might be it o, I have to align myself, I must have my ITA this year. Eventually the list of Noc’s came out and I created a new profile, lo and behold on the 20th of September the Cbd Transport draw favored me. Oh I cried 😭 I danced, rolled on the floor, jumped, screamed. What a glorious moment. I submitted my application in October and the wait begins!!!
2024 While others were getting Bil/Mil/MEP in 2-4weeks, it took ircc 90 days to send mine, hmmm okay o but hey, if it took me 5 years to get ITA what is 90 days ehhn? The character development one will experience in this journey is real. After biometrics has been linked and MEP on gckey, now I wait for ppr. Oh the crippling anxiety, I kept thinking about different things, from ADR to Pof top up because of exchange rate, review required… ha God Abeg ooo. I told myself once my application gets to 4th month I would call ircc to know the update, little did I know that my ppr is close by. I got the infamous “Do not reply email” on the 5th and oh boyyyy, the way my heart kept beating twice as fast… I finally opened my account and I saw my PPR letter sitting pretty. Wow FINALLY I HAVE MY EVIDENCE. My very own ppr, all the years of hustling, hard-work, dedication and commitment to this journey, it has FINALLY ENDED IN PRAISE FOR ME.
If you are on this journey, I want to encourage you to keep your head high, put in the hard work, and it will definitely come true. It may seem like there’s no way out, but once there is a will there’s a way.
I want to say thank you to Zandora for creating this beautiful gold mine of a thread the OG, where it all started, now everyone has moved to Telegram & WhatsApp, lol… Stay tuned for my Landing Gist…

Pls someone should help me out Ejoorrr Harmony63: Hello everyone pls I need your input on these my questions to avoid mistake
So I have only Bsc and I'm also applying for a 2 year course in Canada which if all things work out well, I will start my studies by next year.
So now I want to enter the pool as soon as possible cos no time due to age factor
I want to apply for advance diploma in business administration in hrdc, unilag so I can have 2 certificate
1. Can I evaluate the certificate Abi I should not waste my money and time?
2. Is it possible to finish the course by December? So I will get into the pool by next year after evaluation
3. Has anyone gotten PR using the certificate as a second degree?
I'm about to register for it so I want to be sure before going ahead
Thank you all for your input. |

Or if you could just shed more light on age as a criteria to success in pursuing Canada PR. Thank you. |

Hi, I went through the Unilag hrdc Diploma in French and I will tell you that the best that programme can take you to is A2 and the least level you need to be at before writing TEF is B2.
It was almost a waste of time and money for me because I was already at A2 level before I applied for the programme, thinking they were going to help me reach at least B1. On paper it seemed okay, but after starting the programme, other hidden expenses started popping up. We ended up paying more than double of what was advertised on the Unilag website. This wouldn't have been a problem except for the fact the programme taught me nothing I didn't already know.
I won't say I regretted it because some people I met there made the programme worth it, but if I were to do it all over again, I most likely would go for the advanced diploma in business administration like some people I knew went for. That one was more straightforward and even though both the biz admin and French programmes were supposed to run for 9 months, they were done long before we the French people were even halfway through.
Long story short, if you are thinking of the Unilag French programme, get yourself a private tutor or you can attend classes at IEF or Alliance Française. Personally, I prefer IEF classes. Personal experience is powerful feedback. People who were considering this will find this useful. Thank you ! 1 Like |

soulmate19: Hello, can the Unilag French course be used to write the TEF exam or would you advise one get a private tutor? I am already self-studying French but I want to go to physical classes to prepare for the exam.

Savagethe21st: I feel very sad with the high cutoff scores. I have only bachelor's degree, I don't have a job offer,I am not married, I have no relative in Canada, I do not have a Canadian certification neither do I know french as a second language. Even if I get a perfect score in ielts my crs will be 441. Go and do unilag hrdc advance diploma in bus admin to gain point for 2 or more certificate 1 Like |

saskatoonguy: UNILAG 9MONTHS FRENCH DIPLOMA.
A great option to Increase your CRS score. .
1. Helps you get two or more Certificate point as it can be evaluated by WES, ICAS etc.
Thanks for this info. But I would like to know if WES would really evaluate this positively ? I was trying to find out sometime ago but I didn’t get an encouraging response from people. This is why I’m planning to opt for Advanced diploma in Business Administration since someone has got a positive response using it. I would really prefer French tho. Please has anybody received positive evaluation using French hrdc program? Please indicate. Thanks. |

Hi, Please does anyone have any suggestions for a six-month program that would allow me to get two or more certificates in order to raise my CRS Score? I have applied for the hrdc Diploma at the university of Lagos. the program has not yet begun, and I am unaware of any private higher education facility that offers WES-evaluable certificate programs. I have tried doing my research on CIAPS - (Centre For International Advanced and Professional Studies) and after conducting some investigation, I don't think paying 600k for a three-month program is legitimate. even though they claim that WES can evaluate the certificate. I also gave CIPM and ACCA some thought, but I would be at a disadvantage since I have no prior accounting experience. Please advise. Thank you! |

It might add points for extra certificate (if you only have a Bsc) but for the 2nd language points (which could be more if you get high scores), you would get nothing. TCF and TEF Canada are the exams that you have to choose from. Okay thanks sir. I already have plans to take one of the exams. I’m just trying to get like a personal positive experience on the hrdc stuff too. I’ve been getting might/may/probably. O ti fe sumi lol |
