Now that we have a potential back up to Alba in the young Lucas Digne, I hope we can at least sign one more defender who will be able to give Vidal a run for his money in the right full back position. I really don't fancy the idea of having Roberto as a back up. Sergio is a midfielder and should only be deployed as a defender in case of emergency. And what if he's injured and Vidal is suspended? Who else can confidently play the role? With the exit of Alves, that position should be prioritised for solid reinforcement after which we can be talking about a potential back up to the MSN. We need enough depth to compete come the new season.

They are not wasting, there are so many matches to be played through the season bearing in mind injury, suspensions and rotation.

honestly my biggest wish for the season is that vermaalen comes back fit and good. I don't like maascheraano as a centre centre back. I have never ever been a fan of short centre backs. I want maascheraano in the first eleven eleven but I don't know where.

We can only hope he comes back fit, but in reality, we all know how unreliable he can be as one can almost be sure of his unavailability when he's needed most.
As per Masch in the starting eleven without playing as a defender, we have seen often times how unbalanced the system was with Masch as our DM. The fluidity of the game was always in jeopardy because Masch is more of a 'destroyer' and play breaker than a play maker. Masch in a Barca jersey can only be a defender except when deployed as an emergency DM.

Verminator's fitness has never been a subject of the period of rest he has. You and I know how unreliable he's been over time not because he's not a good player, but because of the incessant injury he cops at will. Banking on such a player for the whole season is a disaster in the waiting bro.

Umtiti is good. He's putting up top performances at the highest levels, the champions league and the euros. And my guy says he should be put on the bench to UNDERSTUDY pique and masch! I say he pairs pique right away.

I only got to see him play for the 1st time in the match against Germany. If that performance is anything to go by, then it's just easy to conclude he's gonna be a good addition. As much as I also want him to kick start the season pairing Pique, I doubt if it would be automatic. The process might be gradual and eventually become the 1st choice before the season ends.

I have been around here for a while, I have never at any point used a demeaning and insulting words on people, it's not just my style and way of life because, even though we run a faceless forum, I can't tell if the person I am using such words on is my neighbour next door, my boss or colleague, highly placed person who has reached the height of his career or a jss 2 pupil. Hence, the need to be polite to all.
