jstbeinhonest: Versatility in what sense?....Alves also played sometimes as a midfielder and a winger under Pep...and he did well. You are right. They both have good attacking prowess, but Lahm is more solid defensively and he's had some great moments playing as a midfielder while we did not see much of Dani as one. |

But well u r a barca fan.. Soo[/b]) Oga, don't try to start what's not. He never claimed Muller is better than CR7 (no one would ever do), he's only trying to let you see that your logic is flawed. There's no need bringing Barca fans into it as no sane person will ever compare Muller and CR7. |

I think the reverse has always been the case at the emboldened. He only resorts to insult when he's insulted. Most guys here are already wired to label him names even when he's making valid points. If I can remember, some here have vindicated him about Herrera's performance after he's been subjected to series of bashing on same issue. Make una just free the guy, he's a one man army! |

mandax: Dikko was sick, that wasn't why he was not put in detention after discovering that he owns $50 million property in Dubai?
But sick Olisa Metu remains in prison, denied appropriate treatment by Buhari because of a paltry sum of N400 million party money apparently meant for political campaign.
Buhari is repeating 1983 to 1985 when he used military coup to push out Shsgari/Ekwueme presidency by accusing the the government of corruption.
Buhari placed VP Ekwueme in prison but left Shagari in the comfort of his home.
The same Buhari who also said that late Abacha was not corrupt.
All these are part of why Buhari remains the darling of the talakawa masses in the north Dikko was sick and returned to Nigeria where he made a confession. Metuh showed no sign of sickness when he kept shouting to be taken to court. He suddenly discovered he had been sick when it was obvious he could not put up a defence. These are two clear and different scenario. By the way, Dasuki who also claimed to be sick and wanted to travel then is still doing fine in the DSS custody. |

the work Pep is about embark on is what LVG did in first season.
let me ask you this question as a Utd fan or any other utd fan. if we had somehow gotten Pep has a manager what would your reaction be like ? I suspect that the fan base will be happier with Pep than Jose. Thumbs up! Good to know real football fans still exist. |

Johnpaul88: He'll be having a goosebumps nw because of the news but i wonder how Krychowiack will help our team Pep has used his choice of Busi over Yaya to prove to us over the years that the DM needed in front of our defence is not the traditional strong, heavy, powerful tackler and destroyer who is swift in breaking play but an intelligent, silky passer, technically sound, tactically apt and excellent ball player. Our midfield has never been about pace and power, but agility and skills. The dude is a very good player, but I don't see him fitting well into our system. There's a reason Masch has never fared well in that position for us, something he does excellently well for his national team. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 11:00pm On May 29, 2016 |
Madrid won, and United fans flooded here as if Barca lost to Man U in UCL final.
United fans are the kings of logic...... let's take a look at some of their latest logics.
1. Any coach that wins the league in his first season at a club should not be praised, the players should rather get the accolades(in a bit to down play a certain coach's achievements). He was asked who gets the praise should their new coach win the league in his first attempt, we are still awaiting the reply.
2. The groaning, moaning and excruciating pains United fans have gone through in recent time seeing LVG as their coach are well documented, they have been screaming for change and many of them believe there's only one coach who can guarantee them that much needed change in order to salvage their dear club from towing the Liverpool way, they got their wish granted and a simple question was asked about their expectation from their new agent of change. Question: what's your minimum expectation from your new coach who? United fans: he has nothing to prove, we have to see the players he would sign first, we don't know if the club would place priority on youth development, he has won the league before, so, he doesn't have to win anything again to prove he's great plus and some even recant their old views in the process. But every other coach out there has something to prove safe United's coach.
3. Zidane won the UCL in six months, which makes him better than Luco, Pep,....(yes, he's better) By their logic: RDM and Zidane are much more greater and better than Fergie and Mou combined. By their logic: Pep won two UCL with Barça and lost to the spanish giants while at Bayern, he's not special. But, Fergie only won same two UCL in his career and lost two finals to a spanish giant, Fergie is great. While it's allowed for Fergie to lose to a supposed superior opponent, Pep has no justifiable reason to lose to anyone. (still trying hard to know how the Barca 2009 team was better than that of United though)
Why would you put up a logic, and start crying foul whenever same logic is used for you?

Cules, One of our prayer points as from now on is to never encounter Atletico in the UCL again. They have proved that they are just bad luck to us as they can't do the needful on the biggest stage where it matters most. If it were Barca they played tonight, we would have seen series of career ending tackles flying here and there, we would have seen aggression defined to the highest degree. What really happened to their resilience? Barca or Bayern would have demolished the Madrid that played tonight who needed an offside goal to bail them out. Atletico are bad luck to us, na only to put sand for our gari dem sabi. |

I have been on Man Utd thread for some time asking what the expectation on Mourinho are
They are now telling me Mourinho has nothing to prove
Some that have argued that Mourinho was better for years are suddenly saying no Pep is better so that we wont use next 3seasons to judge them While some said he has nothing to prove, some want to see the players signed before stating their expectations. I thought I have been reading how desperate Man U are in getting back to the good winning days, how come the man paid to fix the problem has nothing to prove again? Does that mean they will settle for whatever he brings to the table?

The bible has already outlined where everyone belongs......
''therefore, a man shall live his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh" My wife is 'me' as we are one. Whatever happens to her affects me directly and vice versa. The place of parents are different and should be respected.
"Honour your father and mother....." My wife cannot take the place of my parents while my parents can't take that of my wife. I could remember vividly when I got married, my mum told me my wife comes first and was reiterated my my dad who claimed that to be the secret of their successful union of close to forty years. What I will not condone is my wife trying to come between me and my parents as everyone already has his role and place spelt out. But, that hardly happens if one marries the right spouse. |

ddippset: Surely we do know how to play 10 against 11. I could remember one of the best elclassico performances I ever saw was about 3 years back when we played madrid with 10 men. Adriano was red carded in the first half with the scores at 2-1. We were losing but our 10 men against madrid s 11 was very close to a draw and victory. We dominated for over an hour with one man less. Don't forget the El Classico we played in the second year of Pep, Busi was red carded(i think close to the end of 1st half), we won the match with Ibrahimovich scoring the only goal. Funny enough, if it were to be a Sevilla player that got sent off like Masch, haters would have bombarded here with their usual songs. |

ebig21: all you said is the truth, you can see where I said that premier league is in a decline, but the method English Premier League shares their revenue is good, more than la Liga where real Madrid and Barcelona take all the revenue, leaving small club with nothing to compete with thereby making it less competitive, You are right about the revenue formula, La Liga has not done really well in that regard. |
