SoNature: Can Nigerian politicians stop throwing parties because they want to start a new project?
What else is Wike supposed to do when Tinubu has taken his FCT out of the TSA account?
Should he just keep all the money for 2027 elections
President Bola Tinubu has pulled the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, out of the Treasury Single Account, TSA, effectively paving way for the Nyesom Wike-led FCTA to utilize the territory’s Internally Generated Revenue IGR for the development of the nation’s capital.
At a news conference Friday in Abuja, Wike also disclosed that the President has approved the creation of the FCT Civil Service Commission to allow for staff career progression.
Working by snapping photos of road construction flag off? And not by completing the road?
Not by increasing the number of teachers and other staff to enroll more children in free schools? Not by increasing the amount of water available to every building?
Are you for real?
Don’t we deserve the looters that we hail as leaders
oakenfold: Stop worshiping America. This is the era of high speed internet. You have no excuse for ignorance. This place is full of celebrated nuisance and idiocy.
That must be the exact reason why Nigerians are flocking to America, and why we are praying & fasting for our passports to get American visa.
festacman: He used social media to show off ill-gotten wealth, expose his criminal activities and put himself in jail.
Instead of lying low. He is still using the same social media to show off food in prison that most free Nigerians can't afford and now he is about to have stricter routine. Serves him right.
“’I cannot take anything back about Obi. I said Obi said he wants to move Nigeria back from consumption to production and I said that is not true. He cannot do it because his own business survives on consumption. Is that a lie? He has been an importer and I said he deals with cash and carry economics; container economics, imports”.
“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.
“So, Obi is deceiving everybody and I can’t take that back because that is true. What I said about Asiwaju, I gave examples of his vision, knowledge and courage. There is none about Obi. You can’t point to any enduring legacy of Obi in his eight years as governor of Anambra”.
What a pitty, Edo Binis have abandoned their ownership of Lagos, and they are roaming around Europe as Refugees, while the Yoruba are Igbos have occupied Lagos
Did you see that Lagosians are also roaming around Europe as refugees in the report
It’s not possible that anyone from Lagos will be seeking asylum in Belgium, when our Asiwaju’s master plan has already turned the megapolis into a modern 22nd century paradise? Abi it was all propaganda ni
A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.
The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.
“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.
Are you saying that we should not make changes to events no matter how outrageous because it was initiated by a predecessor? That is, if a predecessor stole billions, the incumbent better steal billions afterall the latter did not start embezzlement.
I can't follow your logic. \
How is your logic working since Jonathan and PDP were removed and replaced with the change preachers nine years ago
/ You missed the point. You won't patronize "made in Aba" shoes until the designer puts "Made in Italy" on them. Some of the problem is the psychological deficiency of the people who place their existence on foreigners. I can't imagine so poor yet want to pretend to belong in a phantom class that's only figment of their imagination.
The people selling ingredients for local soup are piling up money too to splurge on foreign gadgets. Now imagine how much in billions the ladies spend on foreign wigs and weavon every year. Hating oneself comes with a cost. /
How come this Fayose hates himself by splurging money on foreign gadgets, clothes, sunglasses, chains, and overseas travel like the president who is chilling in France while 200 million Nigerians are gnashing our teeth and choking on high cost of everything
IMASTEX: Shouldn't you be able to eat all that for not more than #50 given the minimum wage. Moreover, isn't it the so called leaders that is dollarizing the country?!
Well said. Any talk about cost of living that ignores comparisons to the minimum wage is propaganda disinformation and distortions.

December 26, 2023 Even if you give Tinubu 30 years nothing will work – Daniel Bwala
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Daniel Bwala, has suggested that the current administration of President Bola Tinubu may end up like his predecessor.
He noted that this was exactly how Nigerians were told to be patient for eight years while the Buhari administration was busy doing very little or nothing at all.
Bwala said that Tinubu has already spent 31.8 percent of his first term in office and has only succeeded in raising the sufferings of Nigerians during this period.
“When people talk about being patient and waiting, you have to look at the time frame the public officer is expected to execute the work,” Bwala, who was the spokesperson of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council for the 2023 elections, said on Channels TV on Monday.
“The President has just been voted into a term of four years. He is eight months into the term which constitutes 31.8 percent of the total time that he has.
“He has less than 70 percent time in government, when is that going to happen? When President Buhari took over in 2015 it was the same language and we patiently followed and he finished the first term and finished the second term.
“When there is a fundamental problem with policy, time is irrelevant, 30 years it will not work. Most of the economists I’ve listened to have faulted the President’s budget with which he was supposed to deliver the agenda flat-out…
Coolsperm: We Yoruba Muslims are at peace with the fulanis, forget about this propaganda by ipob
Very true sir. So true.
Ebullience: Bola Tinubu, a national of leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says those blaming herdsmen for the death of Funke Olakurin, daughter of Reuben Fasoranti, do not have evidence.
Speaking when he paid a condolence visit to the family of Fasoranti in Akure, Ondo state capital, the APC leader said kidnapping is not peculiar to any ethnic group or a particular set of people.
Asked to react to the allegation that herdsmen were behind the attack, he said: “I am extremely concerned about security but I don’t want stigma. I can go through history of kidnapping and we know how it started, where it all started, there are lot of copycats, how many years ago have we faced insecurity in this country and cases of kidnapping? Is Evans a herdsman?”
Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, suspected kidnapper better known as Evans, was arrested by the police in 2017. He is still under trial.

Tabithatim: The trains which will run on existing rail tracks will have stops at Ibadan, Osogbo, Offa, ilorin, mokwa, Minna, Kaduna, Zaria then Kano.
The last stop for the rail service is designed to be Maiduguri but that will be implemented much Later. No time frame was been announced for the recommencement of this project but reports say it should start sometime this year.
What are we supposed to do about this news that has no commencement date
Racoon: Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.
Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.
His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.
The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993
It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.
Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.
He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.
“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’
LocalFARMERS: This Chicken Thief was caught and paraded this morning in Benin.
When will we be wise enough to similarly deal with our families and friends who are allowed into public office but are privatising all the resources to share some crumbs with us
EloquentMedia: UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR ROLE IN SOCIETY, YOU CAN NEVER MAKE ANY MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTION.
According to the Greeks there are three types of people on earth,
- the idiots,
- the tribesmen, and
- the citizens.
Studies show only 10% of Africans are citizens.
The remaining 90% are either tribesmen or idiots.
1. THE IDIOTS. When the Greeks used the word "idiot", they did not use it as a curse word.
Idiots are people who just don’t care.
If they write exams, they will cheat.
If they are in government they will steal.
An idiot does not care at all, if he eats bananas he throws the peels anywhere instead of putting them in a trash bin.
According to the Greeks, some societies have more idiots than tribesmen and citizens.
2. THE TRIBESMEN The next set of people are tribesmen, these are people that look at everything from the point of view of their tribe.
These are people that believe in you only if you are part of their tribe.
It can be terrible to have a tribesman as a leader, he will alienate the rest.
When the Greeks talk about tribes, it’s not just about ethnicity, they also consider religion as a tribe.
A great percentage of Africans are tribesmen, because they view everything from the point of view of their tribes.
They trust only their tribesmen.
3. THE CITIZENS The last group are citizens.
These are people that like to do things the right way.
They will respect traffic light rules even if no one is watching them.
They drive within speed limits.
They respect the laws, won’t cheat in exams.
In government they won’t steal.
They are compassionate and give to others to promote their wellbeing.
Citizens often promote projects that benefit everyone.
The Greeks called this group the citizens.
Some countries have more citizens than tribesmen and idiots.
Others have so many idiots.
A tribesman can become a citizen through orientation.
And an idiot can become a citizen by training and constant enforcement of the law.
But things fall apart if you elect an idiot or tribesman to lead you if he has not been reformed.
Where do you belong?
Are you an idiot, a tribesman or a citizen?
Reflect about your life.
Reflect about your country and Africa in general before you answer.
PassingShot: A lot of Nigerians still believe that Buhari failed woefully while a few of us think differently.
Here is a portion of an interview where the former president refused to bow to IMF in their call for him to devalue the local currency alluding t what could be the consequences of such action. Despite all the challenges his government faced, he managed to leave the naira at around N600 to a dollar in May 2023.
Fast forward to seven months after his exit, our currency has plummeted against the dollar to around N1450 on the back of devaluation, recording new low on daily basis. As a result, inflation, insecurity and other vices are on the increase to the extent that no one can predict how the current vicious cycle would end.
Surely, the man Buhari is too patriotic for Nigerians. We most times do not know our true friends.
If Buhari is too patriotic because of this exchange rate issue, then what do you think of Jonathan
How sensible is this priority for spending Kebbi people’s commonwealth, if all their children are not in free primary, secondary and vocational schools with adequate teachers and other staff
Why do we allow our political space to be filled with people with zero principles and zero ideology? People like Peter Obi

PlanetZero: The evil mandate people will blame it on
1. Ipob
2. Atiku
3. Pdp ( except wike)
4. Obi
5. Nigerian Masses
6. Binance
The only one they won't blame is themselves
A failed leadership blames others except itself
Peter Obi’s clueless desperation deserves the blame for helping Tinubu achieve his Emilokan dream through Yorubalokan scam.
The clueless desperation that made him leave capitalist PDP for communist labourers in LP a few days to the primaries.
Gerrard59: The 2023 presidential election is less than seven months away. There are three contenders, even though Peter Obi happens to be largely a pretender in my opinion. Tinubu has chosen Shettima to be his VP candidate, Atiku chose Okowa and Peter chose Yusuf. However, of the trio, Tinubu’s choice is the most controversial as it is a Muslim-Muslim ticket, which is very insensitive to the 100M+ Christian populace. To be honest, this choice increases Tinubu’s probability amongst the Muslim community in Nigeria, especially in the north-west and north-east. This brings me to the topic: Peter Obi cannot win in those regions as they will not vote for a Christian when there are two alternatives where Muslims hold sway. In the north-west, Tinubu has a greater probability of winning there as his combination resonates with the populace. Kwankwaso has said he has no problems with the choice he made but with his platform. This means when push comes to shove, he will step down for Tinubu so that BAT’s chances of winning Kano with a wide margin come to fruition. In the north-east where Shettima and Atiku come from, Peter Obi’s odds further decline as indigenes there will rather their sons than someone else.
In the south-west, Tinubu is expected to win. Don’t allow anyone to deceive you that Tinubu will lose his backyard. Yorubas don’t involve religion during elections as they are roughly divided across three religions amidst themselves. Tinubu is seen as a God figure and when the chips are down, the vast majority will tilt towards voting for the APC. However, there exists a section of Yoruba voters especially the Christians who might not/will not vote for the APC or alternatively abstain from voting due to the insensitivity of Tinubu’s choice considering the wanton killings the Christian community has experienced in Nigeria within the last seven years. The massacre in the Catholic Church at Owo rings a bell. To these people, alternatives exist in Atiku and Peter but here is it: due to what I cannot describe as the rivalry between Igbos and Yorubas, the vast majority of these Yoruba Christians will not vote for an Igbo man. They will/might be shamed, mocked at or derided or whatever, but they won’t vote for Peter Obi and/or rather cast their votes for Atiku. On the other hand, Yoruba Muslims will never vote for an Igbo man, certainly not when an illustrious son of theirs has a strong likelihood of becoming the president.
In the north-central, Tinubu’s prospects are pretty significant as people, especially the Muslims in Kwara will vote for him. The same thing in Nasarrawa, Kogi, and Niger especially as the vast majority of people in IDP camps are Christians. Benue, for instance, has one of the highest concentrations of IDPs thereby making them unqualified to vote. His chances in Plateau and Benue are very low but APC’s structures there can deliver the minimum requirement of 25% to scale through. In the south-south and south-east, Tinubu’s chances are extremely low considering he never campaigned in the south-east and only campaigned in Delta and Cross River states in the south-south during the APC presidential primaries. Effectively, he believes he won’t win in those regions, and rightfully so. In fact, I predict that Tinubu will not campaign during the campaign season in any of the south-eastern states and only in Cross River considering the influence of Okowa in Delta. He might substitute Delta with Akwa Ibom but that is it, just two states in the south-south and none in the south-east. The south-south and south-east together are home to the vast majority of Christians in Nigeria. They will not be receptive to a Muslim-Muslim presidency.
heji: Is this how PDP wants to wrestle power from APC in the next election?
Is this just about capitalist PDP politicians or it’s about all Nigerians working together to make PDP a viable alternative to the fake progressives/socialists in APC
