Anambra has always scored first in education in Nigeria. Obi did that. He laid the groundwork, and is still doing so.

That is not the question asked.
For your easy reference, I have reproduced it below, in case you are capable of answering it.

Did he employ workers every year to do everything he was supposed to do, including providing free education for ALL Anambra youths in primary, secondary and vocational schools

Have they also decried the absence of tap water in their homes, offices, schools, factories, mosques, churches, shrines etc? Or they are not concerned about water because Lagos and the remaining 34 states plus FCT have also failed to employ technicians, administrators, engineers etc to ensure water supply to all buildings

The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.

At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.

The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.

Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.

President of the deluded

You dey mind this olodo who should be forever apologising to youths and other Nigerians for cluelessly helping Tinubu get his Emilokan goal through Yorubalokan turn by turn tribesmen politics!

Gerrard59:
The 2023 presidential election is less than seven months away. There are three contenders, even though Peter Obi happens to be largely a pretender in my opinion. Tinubu has chosen Shettima to be his VP candidate, Atiku chose Okowa and Peter chose Yusuf. However, of the trio, Tinubu’s choice is the most controversial as it is a Muslim-Muslim ticket, which is very insensitive to the 100M+ Christian populace. To be honest, this choice increases Tinubu’s probability amongst the Muslim community in Nigeria, especially in the north-west and north-east. This brings me to the topic: Peter Obi cannot win in those regions as they will not vote for a Christian when there are two alternatives where Muslims hold sway. In the north-west, Tinubu has a greater probability of winning there as his combination resonates with the populace. Kwankwaso has said he has no problems with the choice he made but with his platform. This means when push comes to shove, he will step down for Tinubu so that BAT’s chances of winning Kano with a wide margin come to fruition. In the north-east where Shettima and Atiku come from, Peter Obi’s odds further decline as indigenes there will rather their sons than someone else.

In the south-west, Tinubu is expected to win. Don’t allow anyone to deceive you that Tinubu will lose his backyard. Yorubas don’t involve religion during elections as they are roughly divided across three religions amidst themselves. Tinubu is seen as a God figure and when the chips are down, the vast majority will tilt towards voting for the APC. However, there exists a section of Yoruba voters especially the Christians who might not/will not vote for the APC or alternatively abstain from voting due to the insensitivity of Tinubu’s choice considering the wanton killings the Christian community has experienced in Nigeria within the last seven years. The massacre in the Catholic Church at Owo rings a bell. To these people, alternatives exist in Atiku and Peter but here is it: due to what I cannot describe as the rivalry between Igbos and Yorubas, the vast majority of these Yoruba Christians will not vote for an Igbo man. They will/might be shamed, mocked at or derided or whatever, but they won’t vote for Peter Obi and/or rather cast their votes for Atiku. On the other hand, Yoruba Muslims will never vote for an Igbo man, certainly not when an illustrious son of theirs has a strong likelihood of becoming the president.

In the north-central, Tinubu’s prospects are pretty significant as people, especially the Muslims in Kwara will vote for him. The same thing in Nasarrawa, Kogi, and Niger especially as the vast majority of people in IDP camps are Christians. Benue, for instance, has one of the highest concentrations of IDPs thereby making them unqualified to vote. His chances in Plateau and Benue are very low but APC’s structures there can deliver the minimum requirement of 25% to scale through. In the south-south and south-east, Tinubu’s chances are extremely low considering he never campaigned in the south-east and only campaigned in Delta and Cross River states in the south-south during the APC presidential primaries. Effectively, he believes he won’t win in those regions, and rightfully so. In fact, I predict that Tinubu will not campaign during the campaign season in any of the south-eastern states and only in Cross River considering the influence of Okowa in Delta. He might substitute Delta with Akwa Ibom but that is it, just two states in the south-south and none in the south-east. The south-south and south-east together are home to the vast majority of Christians in Nigeria. They will not be receptive to a Muslim-Muslim presidency.

“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.

“So, Obi is deceiving everybody and I can’t take that back because that is true. What I said about Asiwaju, I gave examples of his vision, knowledge and courage. There is none about Obi. You can’t point to any enduring legacy of Obi in his eight years as governor of Anambra”.

Check Wikipedia list of countries with by net Exports. You will be surprised nigeria had positive values in 2022 when other countries had negative values(meaning that we got more fx from exports than imports) yet those countries with negative values still have stronger currencies than us and our Naira was still falling.

This madness of making Nigerians believe we import more, has to stop. The current CBN governor even said Naira is undervalued. Something I've known since. The man knows what he meant but sadly the rate will keep dropping

If there is any truth to your claim, why don’t you just share the data and the Wikipedia link?

Datedoboy:
I said it on this forum last year On Sep 26, 2023

I had mentioned it in my previous post that it will get to NGN1,000 per Usd if drastic measures are not taken.

Again, I am saying it here that it will get to 2,000 before 2025 if we don't take these drastic measures.

These measures will make the Naira appreciate to at most NGN500 to a dollar in the short term and in the long term, NGN100

What are these measures? I will explain further but note that this is not about Exports.
Even if we export more than China today, the NGN will still decline further. How do i know this?

If you do your research, you will discover that Nigeria as at 2023, exported and earned more FX more than several countries and yet the currencies of these countries are stronger than the Naira.

So don't let anyone sell the idea that our economy is import dependent that is why our currency is falling. Even if we ban all imports and continue with (or increase) our current export, the Naira won't appreciate

A simple question you can answer is, when we banned rice importation, did our currency stop falling? No !!! So sit back as we take a dive to 4 policies which WILL make the Naira appreciate.

1. All domiciliary accounts must be closed.
Can a Canadian or US bank open Naira account for you? No! So why do we open Dom. Accounts for our citizens ? Now you may say what of imports? How do we pay for our goods in foreign currencies?

The answer is simple. Credit your account in Naira while your bank pays the USD or GBP equivalent on your behalf at official rate determined by CBN

2. Ban deposits and withdrawals in foreign currencies and convert all inflows including export proceeds in foreign currencies to Naira (again at official rate determined by CBN).

You don't need to stop people who sell at black market or hoard the USD. Let those who hoard the dollar keep it but once they know that after a said date, you can't deposit or hold your physical dollar, they will be forced to go to the bank to deposit it. Anyone found with physical hard currencies after the deadline, must be arrested

This policy alone will make the NGN appreciate to maximum of NGN600 after first two weeks of implementation and will mop up hidden/excess dollar in the system.

This policy will also discourage buying usd from the black market because there won't be any physical dollar to buy.

3. Increase interest rate for fixed Naira deposits to a minimum of 10%. This will encourage saving in Nigeria. Let a Naira 4 Naira scheme, replace the previous Naira 4 dollar scheme.

4. Reduce interest rates on fixed foreign currency deposits to 1% of principal amount if option 1 is not possible and convert all inflows to NGN without the option of collecting foreign currencies at the counter. You can't spend USD or GBP in Nigeria so why do you want to collect your inflows in foreign currencies? Then you increase Naira fixed deposit rate to 15%
This policy indirectly stops the black market arbitrage.

As the Government has floated the Naira, if these measures are not put in place, NGN2,000 to a dollar won't be surprising to me.

I am just a concerned Nigerian and i am open to constructive criticism.

Unfortunately all your suggestions fail to address the FUNDAMENTAL issue of us eating/importing more than we produce, and will make matters worse if implemented as dollars will become more scarce and the exchange rate worsen, with an even greater gap between official and UNDERGROUND parallel market.

Do you know of any prosperous country that is doing communist clampdown of free enterprise and private sector investment, which is essentially what you are suggesting? North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela
