Tough draw for the Golden Eaglets. Well, the coach has always said they've never had any team really challenge them so I guess this is it. . . It'd be a chance for me to see how good the team is. Talk in town is this team is the closest thing to a real U-17 Nigeria has presented in decades. It's also been reported that the team is very mobile, plays tiki-taka like Barca and can pass their opponents to death. This competition will be a chance for me to see if all these is true 1 Like |

In the absence of a poll, the voting will be done manually and you do this by indicating who amongst them you're voting for on this thread. Please, no long story. . .just the name will do. | Computers › The Worst Virus/Malware Infection You've Had On Your PC? by semid4lyfe(op): 5:12pm On Dec 08, 2012*. Modified: 4:44am On Dec 09, 2012 |
This thread was inspired by my travails of Wednesday and Thursday. My PC was infected by renouce/readme.eml & Virus.Chir via a flashdrive so bad that it was rendered completely useless. The virus deposited readme.eml e-mail files in all my folders and only spared the compressed files like ISO, RAR, ZIP, 7-ZIP etc The installed apps refused to run. You click on the Firefox, IE or any browser and nothing happens. MS-Word nothing. CorelDraw mba. . .in fact, nothing worked on the system. System restore did not work, Formatting and re-installation of OSes. .no way. To cut a long story short after extensive googling, I was able to resolve the issue and restore my PC to full health yesterday. As I post, I'm still downloading and re-installing some of the softys that used to be on the system that I didn't back up. To SMS, Virus.Chir and renouce/readme.eml are the WORST Viruses/Malware to have ever infected my system. What's the worst PC Virus/Malware you've encountered? |

debosky: The question is whether there will be different polls for both General Sports and European Football - if not, then even those that exclusively post in a subset of Sports should be permitted as nominees. mystikal: so we are voting for just general sports posters? exclusive European Sport posters not welcomed?Thread for European Football section: Official European Football/EPL/UEFA/Int'l Club Footie Poster Of The Year 2012 All you European Footie addicts can go nominate/vote there. Meanwhile, look around and nominate posters deserving of the best poster award in this General Sports Section too. |

Hi Y'all, It's that time of the year when we put aside our club differences and come together to select the Best Poster in this Section. Dayokanu won it in 2009, 2010 and 2011 making it a hat-trick of wins. Will Dayokanu make it a quadruple this year and set a forum-wide record or will he be dethroned? Only your participation and votes will decide. . . . Here are the rules: 1. Only 1 nomination per user 2. A nominee MUST be a law abiding Nairalander, not a troll or a trouble-maker (someone that has never been banned) 3. A moderator cannot be nominated in his/her section but may be nominated in other sections 4. Nominee must be active in the this section, that is, the European Football/Int'l Club Footie (EPL, UEFA, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga etc) section 5. Nomination takes 1 week, voting takes 2 weeks and by the end of December the winner will emerge. 6. Unfortunately, we do not have poll options anymore, so we will have to make do with manual counting. 7. Where there is tie, the mod reserves the right to either choose one or extend the nomination/voting by 24 hours. NOMINATION ends on December 11, 2012 VOTING starts December 12, 2012 (after top 3 nominees with the highest nominations have been picked) and ends December 30 when the winner will be announced. Oya, get cracking and start nominating. . . . |
