The first pic has four concentric circles while in the second pic, you need to turn your phone side ways to get the right orientation.

In the second pix, the man sitting is clearly lying on his back feigning a sitting position. His legs are too close to the wall for someone sitting and is only suitable for hooking the wall (where he's supposed to really seat) while lying down. The place where he's apparently "seating" is a space and is actually underneath the real seat when the orientation is corrected. The reason why the others wore head warmers is for us not to notice the hair falling sideways cos really the are just holding themselves up with one arm.

DPC means damp proof course which is asingle shit of water proof running alone the wall. We also have Dpm. Which is damp proof membrain which is put in b/w the floor and held by the wire mesh. Nice job. But your interpretation of the mix ratios seems confusing, or at best, incorrect. Please, revisit. shocked
Which part is confusing? Maybe it's because of the spacing of the sentences there. Its correct bro.

Though for more realistic site material schedule, one or two indices there might be tweaked a bit, depending on the experience of the person doing the calculation.

Lord knows the number of people with same level of intelligence and motivation, just waiting for an opportunity like Abiola had.

That's why we just want the government to at least provide the environment for us to grow, a chance to test our speed, our hunger to be the best, to stretch our imagination; and see if we won't run ahead of our peers elsewhere...

Read me well sir, I am not against this step. All I say is govt should start austerity steps from its end. What austerity are we talking about when Governors still collect "unaccounted-for" security votes every month, same fat furniture allowances for govt officials, same nos of passive legislators who collect fat pays and allowances. Do masses only have to bear the consequences of this present economic hardship.
When govt shows serious austerity measures from its end, people will reason with it. But if govt thinks the only way to cut cost of governance is cutting down civil service, tell me who absorbs them? While our legislators pride around in exotic cars, this step will only breed chaos because it directly affects the masses while the politicians are left unchecked, unless govt shows a commitment by starting from its ends.
You may be right. But having the austerity measures starting from the government also involves cutting of these MDAs.

Also, who told you security votes go into thin air? Some people benefit from it of course! Even if the population benefiting is not more than the immediate family.

While I want all extra and excess monies cut down; pls also note that whatever and wherever the cut down, people will be affected and they wont be happy.

As we want the cut for all other unneeded govt apparatus, so we want same for the MDAs.

How can I be stupid to support the protest with credible information at my disposal and by virtue of the positions I have occupied as a defender of the poor and a member of civil society.

Politics is not mathematics hence it doesn't go with specific formulas as you presume. Different Interests need to be accommodated if and when the public refuses to speak with one voice and a misconception of who their enemies and friends are.
Care to share that useful info you had that made you go against the protest?

I know it's not everyone that would support the protest. Some have genuine reasons and other are afraid the free money tap would stop flowing.

But you will have to convince a lot of people why the fuel price was increased at that point inspite of the heavy increase in subsidy payment being made to the marketers at that time.

I know I was tempted to join the oil marketing business when I saw the free money being made through several loopholes in the transaction process. Many people instantly started owning fuel stations. What do you think was the sudden attraction to the petroleum business that wasnt noticed before? Ofcouse many made a killing in that period.

People getting paid double the quantity of products to be delivered, only to reroute the vessel bringing the product to Ghana after payments or after false evidence of delivery.

The Fuel Subsidy protest was an exercise against a purposeful end and fight against corruption in downstream sector of oil and gas.

The implementation of Orasanya report will lead to massive job cut and losses across board with attendant protest and strikes by unions.

What everyday Nigerians and labour unions are clamoring for is drastic reduction in cost of governance.

I support implementation of the report but I speak from a neutral perspective.
See Nigerians just wanted a revert back to the old pump price. We didn't care how the government did it siince the government itself wasn't sensitive to what it should give more importance to, to alleviate the masses' pains.

At a time when crude oil was selling at record highs, we should have been massively developing the primary infrastructures of the country, yet all we got was increased recurrent expenditure, increase debt and a big hole in our foreign reserve. Several cases of sharing of the excess crude accounts.etc.

Did you join the protest? What were you protesting for if you did?

Though this maybe a good decision, but have we realised this step only affects the masses? If govt wants to take such steps, he has to show the sacrifice from his own end. Just recently 9bn+ was allotted for allowances of incoming govt (I presume there is no need for cut in that, same old spending), we still have same large nos of Reps and senators when most of them are just useless there collecting fat payment. The governors still receive security votes, even when they claim they are not the C-in-C of their states. Should we go on?
We fail to see that these people are not falsr or ghost workers, they are real workers. Government can search out ghost workers and dump them, but merging some MDAs thereby rendering some people jobless is inhumane.
Government always take austerity measures on masses but they enjoy the prosperity alone when it comes. We shouldn't cheer this decision if govt doesn't take same harsh decision on itself. Why can't we reduce the nos of REPs from states also? Why can't we probably merge some senatorial districts so as to reduce nos of senator we have?
When the effects of this decision bite, many people that hail it will vehemently condemn it.
Ghost workers in the MDAs can be removed.
Do you know how large our recurrent expenditure is?

Monies meant for capital projects that would help develop social infrastructure, which actually really affect the masses; are used to pay (ghost) workers who more often than not, replicate the functions of another. While some are functioning, won't the ones replicating same functions be rendered redundant or underused and therefore be regarded as ghost workers?

How many are going to be affected by these changes compared to a rise in capital budget that will be used to affect the lives of millions more.

In every situation, decisions you take affect people- innocent or not. You must weight your options and maybe apply the Rotary 4-Way Test to it. Is fair/ beneficial to all concerned? Is it the truth? Will it build better goodwill? If you apply this code to the situation, you'd support the reorganization of those MDAs.

After the illogical (not thought after) fuel subsidy protest that led to lost of trust and disapproval of Jonathan's administration by some classes of the citizenry which was unfortunately championed by the Cabals and supported by the opposition, the GEJ administration became sensitive to the social contract hence the will power to implement the Orasanya report without the anger of the Labour Unions and others was lost.

We never supported GEJ enough to fully implement his transformation agenda though they were the best for our country but needed impossible change we can't afford.
Oh but the fuel subsidy protest was in support of what the report recommended. The masses didn't want a government so bloated it consumed 70% of its budget, spends more than a billion in kitchen expenses, is irreparably corrupt, was openly supporting the curruption that was the fuel subsidy windfall; all the while telling Nigerians that it was removing said subsidy payments.

Did you see the immoral geometric rise in the amount paid for subsidy within a few years as if population and consumption jumped by same margin? Why didn't the government tell us how they plan to repair the refineries? Those were the issues that brought up the protest.

In the end Nigerians could not trust he's government. Not with the diversion of monies meant for subsidy payment, and we were vindicated when issues of corruption were associated with agencies like SURE P.

Nigerians were effectively saying; "don't stop the only thing the masses benefit from your government until the government itself shows prudence." One of such ways was to cut down the number of MDAs.

You have just lied again by withholding the truth and hiding the origin of this said template and report, not forgetting that the opposition never supported it.

This report is a transformation agenda of President Jonathan and not a Change document rather continuation of TAN hence Buhari will soon be a TANoid
Yet the JonaTAN government is the highest in recurrent expenditure and debt allocation. Why didn't it take its own advise?

Is this enough reason to increase the population to 21 million.
To increase the inaccurate census figures or to state the more likely figures based on indices such as vehicles on roads, state registrations, population of pupils in schools, etc?

When did it jump to 21 million undecided? Acccording to 2006 National population census, the population of Lagos was 7,937, 932 million.
Did the figure capture those who decided not to be counted? Or those who decidedly went to their state of origin for such enumeration?

Car Talk › Re: Car Aircondition (AC) And Fuel Consumption by semitunde: 10:16am On May 17, 2015
Babs015:
Happy sunday everyone, hope you are all enjoying the weekend? Without wasting much of your time, let me go straight to the point.

I have heard a lot of people especially car users complaining about using the AC in their cars simply because it consumes extra fuel.

The question is, does using AC in the car consumes extra fuel? If yes, how? Let's hear your opinion on this......
Yes it does.

Generally most cars have been caliberated to take the extra load of the AC and thus for a new cars, you may not feel the difference in the fuel consumption. But as time goes on, and your engine begins to lose power due to wear and tear ( and possibly poor maintenance), the AC load will come to tell on your fuel. Cos the engine will automatically rev a little higher to adequately carry the AC load.

Same thing as when you have a fully loaded car compared to when you're the only one driving.
