Romance › Re: 10 Signs You Are Dating An Immature Girl by SenatorJames(m): 3:31pm On Dec 06, 2014 |
AJ01: I wonder y people say age don't matter well age matters in this because your maturity level grows as you get older and have life experiences that shape you and give you perspective. So an immature 17 year old might not be the same kind of immature you'll find with an immature 25 year old. You can understand some of the immaturity you'll find with a 17 year old and know they'll grow out of it where as with a 25 year old girl if she's immature then she'll probably remain that way maybe into her 30's and maybe forever lol. .
1) she loves clubbing,parting,fun here fun there..GET A LIFE.
2)More focused on the fantasy world..cinderella dis, barbie that ..awwww grow UP..
3) Perceives herself as a princess and believes people should treat her like so.
4) Banks on a guy to be her financial strategy..common on it should be considered a bonus not a life line.
5)Not bothered with anything domestic and is proud of the fact that she cannot cook or clean.
6)A girl wants attention, a woman wants respect. A girl wants to be adored by many A woman wants to be adored by one.
7)A girl plays game(hard to get) a woman dosen't she know want she want.
8.)A girl has a checklist that prioritizes superficial qualities above anything else. Here is an example of how this. checklist may look: Hot, popular, wears skinny jeans, over 6 feet tall, rich.. This is the checklist of what a woman may look for: High integrity, intelligent, kind, good communicator, emotionally available.
9)She loves cartoon so much..yea I said it.
10)Has a questionable hygiene..make sure you don't have a blind spot for this one..before you contact wetin doctor no know . He/She begs for "likes" and "followers" on social media (facebook, twitter, nairaland etc) He/She quote a long post to comment "k" on nairaland. on a more serious note: being abusive on a slightest provocation. |
Crime › Re: My Dad Almost Raped Me To Death by SenatorJames(m): 1:13pm On Dec 06, 2014 |
We have been hearing of END TIME THINGS occurrences in this country MissSlimbody: A 14-year-old girl, simply identified Uzor has revealed how her father almost raped her to death on December, 2, 2014. Uzor, who stays with her father, at No, 4 Akintunde Street,Oyingbo, Ebute-Meta, Lagos. According to the little girl, she said her father raped her around 6:30am after she went to live with him. She explained that she had been living with an aunt at Ikorodu after the demise of her mother until her father came to take her away.
Fighting back tears, Uzor said: “I wanted to shout, but his weight was too much for me. My father is fat and I was struggling not to stop breath. I was struggling to push him off!” According to Uzor, after her mother died, she went to stay with her mum’s elder sister, at Ogijo, Ikorodu, Ogun State. The woman was expected to assist the girl in furthering her education, but she did not.
“My aunt did not enroll me in school. I used to hawk pepper and tomatoes for her. My father was not pleased that my aunt did not enroll me in school. He threatened to take me away. He eventually came and took me to his house.”
Recalling how she was raped, Uzor said: “I was in the room, sleeping when my father called me to warm soup in the kitchen. Few minutes later, he called me to meet him in the bed room. I thought he wanted to punish me when he called me, because I’m always scared of him and my step mother. They treat me bad. Before I knew what was happening, my father had pushed me on the bed and pounced me. He tore off my pants and penetrated me. When he finally got up and left, I was bleeding from my private part seriously. I could not walk. But I managed to call the attention of an elderly woman in our street.”
The victim said that after the incident, he left her on the bed and went away. The woman she alerted about the incident, cautioned her, not to tell anyone. The woman told Uzor, it was an abomination. “Immediately I left the woman’s house, I went to a pay call center to call Mrs. Toyosi Bello in Ogijo. I explained the incident to her,” said Uzor.
Mrs. Toyosi Bello the Ogun State Coordinator for Center for Defence of Human Right said she was in Ogijo when she received the call from Uzor. The following day, Bello went to Uzor’s father’s apartment.
Bello said: “I observed that the woman Uzor reported the incident to, is shielding her father from arrest. Some elderly men in the area begged me not to expose the matter to the public as that would damage the image of the little girl in future. The girl was immediately rushed to Federal Medical Center, unfortunately when we got there; the medical doctors were all on strike.” Bello said the Uzor’s father has run away. The girl’s step-mother was arrested, but had since been released.
Uzor had been taken to Project Alert, a non-governmental organisation that takes care of raped victims.

Jgbengs: please, d only thing keeping me frm paying is the Referee and the Research proposal. Can u tell me how ur referee statement looks like. What order info do one need to know during d second phase after payments? Somebody help....... You will only have to fill your referees name, phone number, email, post and address. you will then cliq: send mail, they will receive a page assessment form about the applicant, which they will answer and submit back. when you log in, you will see; submit report on referee page that will show you whether each of them has replied or not. you can cliq send mail to resend anyone the mail if their name is still showing "NO", or you cliq delete if you wish to change anybody that is delaying you. Note; crosscheck your referee email you type, in case of error, because the portal will not correct you and the person will not receive any mail. Research proposal is just a brief statement of what you will be doing in your research work (project). for example, if someone will be working on climate related project, his research proposal can be " impact of climate change on food security of farm households" Hope I have answered your question? For anyone applying, the portal is simple to comprehend, just pay and go back to the portal to complete your registration. nothing to be uploaded apart from your passport. Success to us all. |

eleojo23: I'm surprised at the grand scale burial. Well, having spent fifteen years with the dog, he must have really gotten close to it.
We humans get attached to a thing when we spend a lot of time with it.
I know some people who have 'mourned' the loss of their phones and laptops (inanimate objects!) which they had used for a long time. It had become their 'friend' and the loss of it pained them. The one that baffles me is that part where they reported that our so honoured Military band performed in the event. Is there no more work in the barrack for them to be found in such a situation, when they wont even play in the burial of any common man, without being a military man or public figure, talkless of Dog. |

d3lko2i: Can the man also return the spiritual, social and other services and benefits he got both from the Church and from God for the 15 years?
Can he pay or find a way to compensate God, the pastor and other members who voluntarily sang, cleaned the chairs he sat on, played musical instruments, visited or called him when he couldn't make it to church due to illness or any other reason, counseled him when he had issues, taught his children virtues, values and morals, and many other services and benefits for 15 years?
Was he forced to attend the church? Was he forced to make those 'donations'? Was he forced to give the freewill offerings? Was he forced to pay his tithes?
When you give to Orphanages and other non-profit organisations can you go back to demand for your donations from Charity?
The 'man' is not serious, immature and probably just acting out of frustration! That is the mentality of those that believe they are giving their tithes and offerings to men of God. |

davo3286: Oh, what a dilemma. I share your confusion bro. My brother, this is a rare opportunity I must say you don't deserve to let slip off your grip. Grip and hold close to your chest as strong as you can. For those saying that after all it's only a test invitation that it doesn't guarantee you getting the job, but they forget that invitation for test is the second stage of the recruitment process of which without it your application cannot secure the job. NNPC those conduct their tests in batches as such they cannot reschedule another date for you, trust me. You said you're a teacher at the moment. I believe you understand that this one is a great upgrade compared to your present job if God willing you land on it.
My submission. I wouldnt suggest you kill 2 birds with a stone by trying to attend both, but if you can then all well and good. You cannot change the test date BUT you definitely CAN change the wedding date. Your wife is your wife, she isn't running away. Send bulk SMS to all invitees about the change of date. Call the reception venue and explain to them, I believe they will understand and make adjustment for you or make a refund that's if you've already paid. Call your inlaws and the pastor of the church and explain. Call your MC too. It doesn't matter if you have printed IVs. You can easily use pen to change the date simple.
In a nutshell. Change the wedding date and go write the test.
For the test format i dont know if it will change but you will write 3 sections. I would suggest you dont focus on GMAT alone (you know all those Spatial, Diagramatic, Charts blah blah blah). Revise your basic secondary school subjects as well. E.g chemistry, physics, mathematics, accounts, economics, etc. in the last test all those who 'jacked' GMAT alone were disappointed. The questions were very basic. everyone (OND, BSc, HND; both experieced hires and GTs and Operators) wrote. There was General Engineering section (questions from chemistry/industrial chemistry, physics, electrical/electronics, mechanical, etc); Information & Computer Technology, Management Sci section, etc. English compulsory for all. For the other two, choose the section that soothes you discipline. For engineers you can choose English (which is compulsory) then Maths, General Engineering or ICT making 3 sections in all. Please help me with GMAT past question to prepare for an examnation. You can please send it to my email on my profile. I pray you will never lack help in every area of your life. Thanks |

Romance › Re: Parental Consent - Really Necessary?? by SenatorJames(m): 3:31pm On Nov 29, 2014 |
kristina1: Parental consent is very important in a marriage.. parents can never mislead you, they must have a reason before rejectin ur partner. The problem nowadays is the stereotype view of some of our parents when it comes to marital partner (e.g all Igbo ladies are this, Ijebu men are that, my uncle married from kogi state and this is what the lady did to him etc). Someone can take his/her stand when parents are not in support of a relationship due to delusional reasons like these. |
Family › Re: Marriages Then Vs Marriages Now by SenatorJames(m): 3:18pm On Nov 29, 2014 |
Sophyrocks: Lets not deceive ourselves with this comparison. There were still divorces back then even though they were not as rampant as it is now. The fact that the marriages lasted longer then does not mean they were all happy, healthy ones. Some of them had dysfunctional families and were just merely patching up. We have people who can testify to this in their indivdual homes. These same marriages of then produced new generations with a lot more horrible mentality towards marriage thus transfering the same dysfunction from generations to generations. Now add that to the low morals of now plus marrying for flimsy reasons or to please society, then you see the product as many more dysfunctional marriages and more divorces. A good marriage of an old generation will produce sane and sound individuals with a healthy mentality towards marriage.
Lets just say that people are now more aware of what they want and would not remain in a marriage when their lives are at stake unlike that of marriages of old. Since many are marrying to please society or to fulfill righteousness then expect more divorces. True talk. But don't you think that respect and submission from the side of women has reduced drastically nowadays, also men are less responsible, which is a contributing factor. |

emusmith: Having caught myself more than once in some of this, I decided to come up few things People & especially Singles Do When They're Bored or Alone.
1. Eat excessively.
2. Take a selfie with different clothes on.
3. Shave their privy parts (popularly known as punnany, as the case may be).
4. Clean their fans and other electronics for the first time in weeks...
5. They sing aloud. Most times, Off-key!
Dont ask me, Ask ladies! #,hands in mouth #
6. Visit friends and neighbours over nothing important.
7. Stare at the light bulb and keep staring hoping NEPA will understand. Iffa hear!
8. Login to Social Networks like Nairaland, and start view other people's profile. Some decides to start bashing you and damning your thread. DON'T BLAME THEM. LONELINESS KNOWS THEM BY NAME...says West life.
9. Start playing with their pets at home. Some even go make their dogs up...come dey laff the dog as if the dog understand wetin dey happen... Nawa o!
10. Excessive Watching of TV...Homevideo and Telemundo fans. How is it going?
11. Listen to music...Guys and music sha...
12. Read a book... Nerds/introverts be like: Now you're talking...
13. Call a friend just to say HI.
If a girl calls you just to say HI. Don't be too quick to misinterprete her, abeg, to avoid heart attack. She might just be bored and needs to talk...
14. Take a walk. I call this Sending Yourself On A Fool's Errand... You just leave Your Self Contain con begin to walk like...mtchew!
15. Make up a short story or work on an article. Perhaps, a book. Some play their guitar or other musical instruments. 16. Do something nice for your girl. Like a Poem or a card. You could use MS PowerPoint or CorelDraw... It works like magic...thank me later! Lol
17. Play Video games. How should I forget this?
18. Stare endlessly at the mirror. I guess, they are like, "why is my nose flat?" "Why my buttt no big small?", "If not for this my tribal marks enh...!"
Lol! You don't need that!
19. Play with parts of their body...trying to euphemize my words here...
As dem talk, A lonely man is the devil's workshop...
Most young people self service the most when they're bored and lonely. #FACT#
ADVICE: The cure to loneliness is don't be lonely. Get involved in something worthwhile. For all who just passed out from NYSC, you might be going through this, haha... start from somewhere!
A million dollar job will come but keep your hands busy! After working for three years now, I can deduce the effect of work to a man... IT ADDS VALUE TO HUMAN LIFE! The pay, notwithstanding.
Loneliness is the mother to all bad habits, don't be lonely.
