Politics › Re: Rochas Declares For Presidency. by SenatorJames(m): 5:33pm On Nov 13, 2014 |
talktimi: By Francis Igata
ENUGU — Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, yesterday, declared his intention to run for the 2015 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In an emphatic statement, the Governor said, “I will be Nigeria’s President in 2015.”
He made the declaration at a rally organized by the Enugu State chapter of the APC at the Igbozurume Hall, in Emene, Enugu State.
The governor said Jonathan was not an Igbo man and that the PDP-led government had consistently marginalized the people of the South-East.
According to him: “Jonathan is not from the South-East, the Vice President is not from here, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, and the security chiefs, none of them is from the South-East. Igbo people have no place in Nigeria. How can we say that PDP belongs to Ndigbo?
“Niger Bridge is 419, Enugu/Onitsha and Port-Hacourt Express way are all evidences of their hatred for Ndigbo; they don’t remember the poor, all our leaders in PDP are only interested in their pockets, they don’t care about our children’s education.
“We are angry and we said we have to come out; in Imo State, poor people are happy now, they study from primary to university without paying penny; our God party is bigger than their God, if what they are doing to the poor people here is good, let them continue but if it is bad, God will uproot them.
In 2015, I will be the president of Nigeria, I have gone to Kaduna, I have gone to Lagos, I am in Enugu today, they are already afraid; they are now calling for dialogue. If they are discussing those contesting for presidency on the platform of APC, Owelle will be the first, Buhari and then Kwakwanso; they said it was zoned to the North, I told our party, when did the meeting take place? I also met with my brother Ngige and we zoned it to Ndigbo.
“APC is an emergency party for new Nigeria, if PDP is doing well, I would not have joined APC, when God wants to do something, he does it from anywhere, it doesn’t matter whether Nwobodo, Ken, Nwodo, Ekweremadu are with us or not.
“I heard that some of them are boasting of money, but tell them that Rochas has come; any day you hear that PDP brought money with pick-up, tell me so that I will bring money with trailer. All these PDP leaders in South-East, if you put their money together, it is not equal to half of my money.”
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/11/rochas-declares-presidency/ Is this presidential manifesto for all the Nigerians? This man I respected so much just fall my hand, with this tribalistic agenda. |

Thanks friend, you see that's not fair, why will they change a name of a position just to get the best out of it. For instance I was given Technical support coordinator and was not briefed of doing this, I was even asked if I can drive and from my investigation carried out previously I was told the moment they employ an engineer they buy the person a new car. Actually it is true, the engineers all drive brand new cars depending on the year u were employed, u get the model for that year. That's not my business, though in my former job, I was given a car, house n official driver but they had inconsistencies in paying because its an indigenous company so it is not a new thing but the fact that they even noted it on my appointment letter and the manager of my department told me that my job doesn't require it is really discouraging. I believe God sha. With the way you describe your former job, I don't expect you to quit at that time. I can see some prospect in it. Anyway if you are not happy with your current job, i will advice you try your former place, if they still need your service, If not remain there for a while till you decide better what next to do. |

Babafaros: Monday, November 10,2014 TOPIC>>B£WARE OF PRIDE I MEMORY VERSE Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 READ Matthew 5:14-16 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. MESSAGE Just as “Arise” from yesterday’s Bible reading is a command, ”Shine” in today’s passage is also a command. The command to shine is a call to you to show the light inside you. This implies that you should show forth your good works and show the world that you belong to God. Action they say speaks louder than voice. Jesus Himself said by their fruits ye shall know them (Matthew 7:20). It can also mean to roll back or resist darkness. In the natural world, when light shines where there has been darkness, the darkness recedes. Therefore you as a child of God are to kick out the devil; kick him out of your family, out of your workplace and out of your community (Mark 16:17). Sicknesses, failure, demonic oppression, bondage and sorrow are all manifestations of darkness. It is your duty to kick them out. The command to “shine” could also mean, “Show your potential”. We as children of God are destined for greatness (Ephesians 1:18-23). It also means that you should use your talents (Matthew 25:14-30). We all have certain talents given to us by our Master that we should put to use and make gains for Him with. We should be wise and not behave like that wicked and slothful servant, who went to hide his Master’s talent in the ground. Of course, you know that the end of that servant was terrible; he was cast out into the outer darkness after the one talent he refused to use had been given to the servant who made use of his own five and gained five more. May you not end the way this wicked servant ended in Jesus’ Name. To shine can also mean “Do exploits” (Daniel 11:32). Exploits means “Great things”. To shine also means to excel, to be above all others, just like Daniel and his friends excelled above all the wise men of Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 1:17-20). To shine can also mean to generate or produce light. This further means that, Jesus, being the Light of the world, is reproducing His light in us (John 9:5). There is no way you will generate light without producing heat. This is what makes the difference between the sun and the moon. The sun generates light on its surface and its heat is felt on earth, though it is 93 million miles away. The moon however does not generate light, it only reflects the light from the sun, and hence we do not feel any heat from it, though it is only about 239,000 miles away. This indicates that as you generate light, the heat of persecution is bound to come along. You do not need to be frightened or scared; you just need to be prepared for it. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR 2 KINGS 15:17-17:23 and PROVERBS 23:29-24:7 Action Point: Pray that God will help you to shine more brightly. Please as you click LIKE ,Remember also to use the SHARE button to reach out to your followers Good morning sir, please check today's memory verse, bible reading and action point, are you sure they are correct? I'm currently listening to Open heaven's on Dove TV now, the bible passage, memory verse and action point are all different from what you posted up there. please confirm and make necessary corrections, to maintain the integrity of this thread. dotman2460: I was there a week back around 6:30am. We all waited patiently for the first interview and hoped that if his/her visa was granted the goodluck would rub off on the rest of us....for where?
It was a lady and her interview took place in booth 7. She claimed that she was going to attend a seminar sponsored by a company she distributes for here in Nigeria. After the VO found her not eligible for the visa, he was about handing over her documents when the lady said, "Oga, please hold on to it, my interview can't be over". Then VO repeated that "you are ineligible", while he was saying this, the lady keep on explaining how many clients she has, how much she makes... vo repeated himself, Lady also repeated her self. At that point everyone laughed so hard. The lady left a few seconds later.
My own unusual experience.
Same day as above. While waiting in line outside, I discovered that I was feeling some fresh air around my toes, on both feet. When I looked down, the sole of my shoe was coming off from the front. Horror!!! I've not even entered the Consulate yet. Why me? With each step I took, more of the sole was coming off, got to a point I couldn't lift my feet to walk, I dragged them, I was already in the interviewing area at this point.
I kept on praying for this little incidence not to cause any visa denial. It didn't. After it was approved, I majestically walked out with half of the sole of my shoe gone. When people waiting outside saw me, there laughed, and I thought within myself......"dey laugh me, make you no go face your own interview" That is the extension of fresh air from Aso rock. Fresh air in another dimension. |

uboma: The Nigerian Police Force has advised all residents and visitors to Lagos be wary of these locations to avoid falling victims to violent crimes.
I dont reside in Lagos so i dont even know most of these places. However for the residents in Lagos, please contribute by listing out the areas that are mostly and less prone to robbery attack and possibly safe alternative routes one can take to his destination.
1. Estate bus stop at Ketu-Alapere: Attacks are carried-out both day and night
2. Berger bus stop (along OPIC - Ibadan Expressway): Criminals attack victims with guns on the long bridge and in traffic jams
3. First Gate junction - Agidingbi: Robbery point
4. Boundary bus stop in Ajegunle: Popularly referred to as the 'one million boys' gang territory where criminals attack passengers in vehicles
5. Ijora bus stop: Notorious spot for gang-rape; abduction in buses (popularly known as 'one chance',
6. Mile 2 Oke: Hammers, knives, guns are used to rob motorists in traffic jam
7. Church bus stop - Agboju Mile 2 (Badagry expressway): Haven for street urchins
8. Agric bus stop - Mile 2: Notorious area for buried arms that are used for robbery operations in the area
9. Abulosu bus stop along Mile 2 - Badagry expressway: Drivers conspire with thugs to attack victims
10. Apongbon bus stop: Hotbed of 'one-chance' bus attacks
11. School bus stop, along Mba - Mile 2 road in Ajegunle: Use of jack-knives and other weapons on victims
12. Bamboo area along Oworonsoki - Ibadan Expressway: a dangerous spot about 100 meters from Alapere Housing Estate Bus stop
Please try as much as possible to avoid all the bus stops listed above when you can. If you find yourself around any of these bus stops, ensure the following:
* If you are a passenger or driving your own vehicle, stay alert and do not display priced possessions - mobile phones and devices; jewelry; cash.
* Wind-up your windows and remain alert when driving.
* Drive faster in these areas but please consider your safety and the safety of other road- users by keeping to speed limits.
Safe driving to everyone in Lagos (both visitors anr residents). If all these places are not save, where else is safe? the fact is there is no place robbery and other violence cannot occur in Lagos, one just have to be vigilant. |
