Way of life of people like these should encourage young ones to study hard, but instead, they will be asking how much they have, what car are they using etc? Is everything in life about money.

God bless you all for your immense contribution to life.

Education › Re: Former OAU SUG President Graduates After 13 Years by SenatorJames(m): 3:23pm On Aug 06, 2014
oluwadanie1: When Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife former Student Union Government (SUG) President, Akinola Saburi was admitted in the year 2000, he had no feeling that he would not graduate on a record time.

His involvement in campus activism was what held him on campus for additional eight years. All started in 2003 when he was elected as the Secretary General of the students’ union and along the line, he became an acting president of the union when the incumbent president, Akinkunmi Olawoyin, was sick and could not perform his official duties again.

Saburi’s administration was said to be in constant face-off with the school authority on issues bordering on students’ welfare.

The union, according to investigations, always demanded from the authority to put things like accommodation problem, high tuition fee, overcrowded lecture rooms and hostels as well as policies they considered oppressive in the right perspective so as to make their studentship a worthwhile experience.

And at a time when there was no positive response, the students embarked on protests and the management fingered 13 of them as ring leaders including Saburi and consequently expelled them from school.

The students challenged their expulsion at the Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State, and the court ordered their reinstatement pending its judgment.

“But when we got back to school, we were advised to plead with the authority to reinstate us fully and this was granted on the condition that we must withdraw the case from the court,” Saburi, from Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun State, recalled. And after the pardon, according to him, some of them bowed out of unionism but Saburi and a few others did not.

May the Lord bless you sir, to make impact as a unionist demand lots of commitment and sacrifice. For those concluding that his mates that had graduated 8years ago will be successful than him are really making a wrong judgement. Its the Lord that maketh rich without adding sorrow and the destiny of those he fought for will back him to have rapid success.

Lexaccord: Hi Nairalanders. I met a girl 8 months ago and everything about us clicked. We. Plan to get marriied next year. However, just to seek the blessings of my spiritual leader. I told him about my girl and after about 2 days he told me that at the latter part of our marriage we will break up. He also said he told 2 other pastors to pray about it and the same is what they are saying. Now friends this made me to observe more and I noticed that my girl does not have such trait. Moreover her last relationship lasted 5 yrs and she never broke up with the guy until he broke her heart. I have resolved and am determined to make sure I do not listen to suuch but my parents are not helping matters especially my Dad, though they like her but the revelation has left them totally spell bound. Kindly advise me friends as my decision will not be friendly to my parents. Thank you all.

LaurelP: I'm guessing u like playing hard to get grin
It might actually work on some other guys, but I'm saying it doesn't work on me
I don't encourage ladies to be cheap cos I wouldn't advise my sisters to be cheap
But at d same time, u have to let ur feelings known but don't let d guy take advantage of u
Its just a matter of using ur brain

But some girls start playing hard to get even when d guy is still considering whether to make a move or not
Its d easiest way of chasing guys like me away cos I don't have d time and energy to keep pursuing a girl for dat long.
It would be better you explain in practical term, how not to be 'cheap' and 'playing-hard-to-get'.
