The finals for the Miss World 2005 Beauty Pageant will take place in December. Our girl is Omowunmi Akinnifesi, who was born 19 years ago in Lagos, brought up in Sierra Leone, and now lives in Lagos, Nigeria.

At High School she won first prize in a Fine Art Competition, she is now a student and her future ambition is to be a National Geographer. Omowunmi’s motto is "Forward ever, backward never" (so she claims )
