Because people think they know everything about relationships, whereas they know nothing. So they hurt each other in their relationships, since they really don't know what they are doing!
BusinessRe: New 1000 Naira Note by Seun(mod): 9:51am On Nov 14, 2005
Which one person will you have proposed? President Olusegun Obasanjo or Seun Osewa? huh

I think it's wise as they decided to choose one Hausa person and one Ibo person for a currency released during the tenure of a Yoruba Governor.

Good point, but their success with MTN might be due to existing relationships they had with MTN executives.
PoliticsRe: When will Sub-Saharan Africa be on par with first world countries? by Seun(mod): 9:27am On Nov 14, 2005
Equality is not important. What's important is general well-being and happiness of the citizens of the country. If it means not being on par with the 'developed' world in some areas, and advancing beyond them in some other areas, then that's what we should be aiming for.

And more concise posts, to wink

RomanceRe: Why Do Girls Always Go For Bad Boys? by Seun(mod): 2:39am On Nov 14, 2005
If a girl likes a "bad" boy knowing that he's bad, then she's a bad girl too because birds of like feathers flock together!

Mackjavel, can a machine gun "behead" a girl? i watched the video clip of what you're talking about, and my conclusion was that the girl was beheaded by one of the men in the crowd carrying cutlasses. Yes, I know that the French soldiers killed some people in the crowd, but the young girl could not have been machine gun.

Guns do not behead - they punch holes in people. Cutlasses, which can behead, were being carried my many of the men in the crowd. So draw a better conclusion. In Africa, the truth is that we are our own worst enemies.
Car TalkRe: Let's Talk About Flying Cars! by Seun(mod): 2:01am On Nov 14, 2005
In my opinion, here are characteristics required of a "flying car":
- Affordability such that every middle-class family can have one flying car.
- More flexible take-off and landing so you can operate it from your house (no airports).

This is how I think a flying car would be different from today's small aircraft (2 seater airplanes and small helicopters).
Nairaland GeneralRe: Why do boys act weird to their girls after getting what they want? by Seun(mod): 1:45am On Nov 14, 2005
What I'd like to ask is why girls give boys what they want knowing fully well what is likely to happen after they get it wink
EducationRe: Post-JAMB Examinations in Nigerian Universities by Seun(mod): 12:56am On Nov 14, 2005
The post-JAMB test has been deemed "unconstitutional" by the House of Representatives, but the Education Minister Mrs. Chinwe Obanji insists that the programme must go on:
"Education Minister, Chinwe Obaji, says there is no going back on the post-University Matriculation Examination (UME) test which universities administer on admission seekers, despite the views of lawmakers and others.

"The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a resolution urging her to withdraw the directive that universities should conduct the test, and advised schools to refund fees collected from candidates for the purpose. Majority of the lawmakers contended that Obaji violated the Constitution by the directive."

Music/RadioRe: 'No More' Video by Genevieve Nnaji by Seun(mod): 11:32pm On Nov 12, 2005
It's funny, but my impression of the video listening to it now is that it's really polished.  The quality of production: isntrumentals, vocals, video, ... very high.

It's just that the feministic message of the song doesn't resonate with me, being a man:  I don't want her to give me her fist, I want her to give me her love! https://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/8.gif

How do women feel about the message? Do you want to give your fist to the men in your life?
PoliticsRe: An Ivorian Response to President Obasanjo's Diplomatic Mission by Seun(mod): 10:08pm On Nov 12, 2005
I have done my best to be accomodating to Mackjavel. I don't know what else he wants. i am a webmaster and I don't have links to any newspaper editor as he's demanding. I understand that his country is at war and he may have known people who have died and were close to him, but this issue of wanting to attack Nigerians for wanting to help them is not good at all.
FamilyRe: My Husband's Affair and the Bellview Plane Crash by Seun(mod): 10:06pm On Nov 12, 2005
About the HIV/AIDS issue: the husband had been cheating for a long time, even before this incident. So if Moni had HIV she would probably have already been infected wink

Tables turned: if it was a man whose wife had been insisting on sleeping with another woman, he would have told her to pack out a long time ago, after beating up her lover (which is bad). It is women that like to take this rubbish because they believe that men can't be faithful. Men can be even more faithful than women, who find it easy to just open up their ...

Nairaland GeneralRe: I Caught My Girl-friend Pants Down! <pidgin> by Seun(mod): 9:03pm On Nov 12, 2005
My brother, there's no need to do anything violent. Just wait for some days for your mind to cool down then evaluate the situation afresh. For now, it is ok to grieve a little and spend some time talking to a friend (if you have any other female friend). Do not get involved with another girl ...
