KingEbukasBlog: I had to bring this from a deist's site before I'd be accused of bias . This is a highly illogical statement. A deist site is not an objective source for the claim that Einstein is a deist. According to an actual objective source, Wikipedia, Albert Einstein's religious views have been studied extensively. He believed in the pantheistic God of Baruch Spinoza, but not in a personal god, a belief he criticized. He also called himself an agnostic, while disassociating himself from the label atheist.[1][2] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_and_philosophical_views_of_Albert_Einstein |

MrMontella: we didnt evolve from monkeys... We both have a common ancestor..they are modern species like us.. You said we evolved from monkeys ... No, I did not say we evolved from monkeys. I said that we are monkeys. This was my way of ramming home the common ancestor point: Apes emerged within the catarrhines with the Old World monkeys as a sister group, so cladistically they are monkeys as well. However, traditionally apes are not considered monkeys https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MonkeyModern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens) are the only extant members of Hominina clade (or human clade), a branch of the taxonomical tribe Hominini belonging to the family of great apes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HumanSo technically, human beings are apes, and apes are monkeys, even if we choose not to call them that. That's why I said we are monkeys. Simba asked his dad "if lions evolved from cats, why are there still cats?". "Child", said Mofassa, "I hate to admit this, but we are still cats!" |

4everGod: Every single chemical or organic composition found in the earth can be found either in large or trace ... It is not meaningful to say that the human body is made from the dust of the earth if the elemental composition of the human being is so different from what it was supposedly made from. Why would God use the soil to create man which means he would need to first reconstitute the soil at an elemental level, mostly removing some elements like silicon and aluminum and adding massive quantities of others like carbon before recombining the elements into the proteins, lipids, and bones that our bodies are actually made up of? It makes no sense at all. The trouble with being an apologist is having to defend the indefensible. |

LaClicKLaBenDin: The bolded is enlightening! Speculate, right? So, what makes you think your speculative assumptions, hold more water than the biblical perspective? Evolution is a fact. The speculations I'm talking about are the minute details of evolution that are not fully clear based on the current evidence. Such speculations may not be so reliable, but at least they are based on some evidence. The biblical myth has no evidence at all. Some old Jew probably made up the stories to entertain his grandchildren and it was passed on until people forgot that it was made up. |

4everGod: So you do not know that silicon is present in the human body? It is basically present in the human body in the form of either a derivative of silanate or silicic acid. It is also necessary in the diet as it increases the overall benefits of vitamin D, glucosomine and calcium. Silicon is a trace element in the body at 1% You lie. Silicon makes up 27.7% of the earth's crust and only 0.002% of the human body. Where did the remaining 27.698% of silicon go? |

LaClicKLaBenDin: Please, Sir, I want to ask a question, and I need a very direct answer.
Please, at what point exactly did humans as we know today, evolve from apes? How did this come about? I need, the very minute details, like, was it monkeys that gave birth to the first intelligent humans, and they grew up to be intelligent and drove their monkey parents into the bush, or did the first intelligent humans just appear? I'm just curious to know, you sound like you're very versed in this respect, so, please give me some answers.
How did the first intelligent human or humans come about? And please, if you decide to use the word 'evolved', do well to explain the process. We don't have the minute details. We can Only speculate. Such speculations would be uncertain, but still infinitely better than creationism. Question for creationists: when god created the male from the dust of the ground, which is rich in silicon, where did all the silicon go? |

Gombs: Remember, you're yet to explain why the ostrich have a tiny brain yet an amazing bodily activity. Big brains are expensive. Some things have to be sacrificed to make it happen. An ostrich with a big brain will have to ingest more calories to maintain the brain, and may not be able to run as fast. It may take a longer time to grow up and become independent. So unless the Ostrich finds itself in an environment where being smarter makes it far more likely to survive and reproduce, for a long time, it won't happen. why didn't the Hominids that succeeded the monkeys wipe the monkeys out? Most monkeys live in trees or dense forests. We don't, so they don't compete directly with us. They occupy a different niche in the system. Did we really wipe those that preceeded us? Any evidence? Considering our genocidal tendencies towards our fellow humans who merely worship different gods, I'd say yes. Scientists aren't sure tho. |

LaClicKLaBenDin: You and Seun could be monkeys and their offshoot, but my God created me above monkeys and made me their Master, and He gave me dominion over them. I never and can never be an evolved monkey! You are what you are, whether you accept it or not. Facts cannot be nullified by denying them. Brains and tools gave us dominion, not God. |

4everGod: Its a good thing but you also need to point our such errors to others rather than use your hands to rewrite what they wrote. You cannot honestly think for yourself and for another on the same fair scale. I didn't rewrite what you wrote. I corrected my original post. Is this an attempt to distract? This is the new version: Seun: Each hominid was probably wiped out by the hominid that succeeded it. They were in direct competition with each because, unlike other monkeys, they lived in the same places and ate and hunted similar things. The more intelligent species were more successful than the less intelligent ones and eventually drove them to extinction. Intelligence doesn't always win in nature. A deer needs speed more than it needs intelligence. Without the ability to handle tools, no amount of intelligence will help a deer against a lion. A tree monkey needs agility more than it needs intelligence, or it will fall and die. Also, intelligence is expensive. Our jaws are weak because we have smaller jaw muscles, but this leaves more space for the brain. 25% of the sugar in your blood is consumed not by your arms or legs, but by your brain. That's a lot! We are lucky that our ancestors found themselves in situations where intelligence was good for their survival. That's why we are here today. |
