If your motivation for questioning evolution is to prove that God made man with soil and woman with his rib, then that won't get you anywhere. However, I'm not opposed to questioning evolution. I believe in questioning everything questionable, and I practice this constantly. For example, I feel evolutionists go a bit too far sometimes when they indulge in detailed speculations based on very little evidence and then teach those speculations to children as facts. For example, they might discover a single bone fragment and construct a very detailed profile of the species that it came from with coloured illustrations of what it looked like, and then teach all that to children as scientific facts. That's wrong.

No, I was clearly talking about creationism. I think theistic evolution makes some sense for now. At least, until we figure out abiogenesis.

You're basically putting your God in the current gaps of the theory of evolution. What will happen to your God when those gaps are filled?

I hope you know that evolution is a cruel process? Uncountable animals including our ancestors had to die painfully of starvation, disease, and being torn apart and eaten by predators for the fittest to emerge. Your intelligent designer would have to be cruel or indifferent to suffering.

Creationists are not scientists. They start with an unreasonable conclusion and try to bend reality to fit that conclusion. That's not science!

People become atheists because they stop making excuses for the lack of any objective evidence for the existence of God. It takes many people to get you to that point. It takes months to years of study in many cases; countless YouTube videos, books, debates, & unanswered prayers.

You're wrong. Evolution is the best explanation for the diversity and complexity of life based on the evidence. You don't have a better theory.

We use it for admin stuff, I guess, because it's a comprehensive search. I'm sorry that it isn't working for most people.

I believe, and many scientists would agree, that the common ancestor of humans and other great apes must have been an ape. I'd call it an ancient ape. But it was not a chimpanzee or any other modern ape. I think that's what the anti-evolutionists are missing. The ancient ape we descended from had 24 chromosome pairs, which modern apes except us inherited, but they've accumulated lots of DNA changes too.

This is like saying that we could not have evolved from mammals because the DNA of rats, which are mammals like us, is somehow different.

One one hand, there's the DNA evidence for chromosome fusion, which is strong. On the other hand, a talking snake. Which shall we choose?

False. We're mammals, so our chromosome fusion is one example. There other examples of fusion in mammals, for example, horses.

I don't understand why you can't accept two chromosomes fusing together in spite of the evidence, yet you can accept a talking snake story.

This is not true, but we have 23 chromosome pairs while the other apes have 24. That's because one of our ancestors' chromosome pairs got combined at some point. There is clear evidence that this fusion occurred. One of our chromosome pairs matches two ape chromosomes pairs
