Murtala Muhammad was ok from what we know about him. Buhari has many question marks in his history.
Car TalkRe: How Are Nl Dealers Going To Deal With Sanusi's Cash Transaction Limit Policy? by Seun(mod): 11:53pm On May 27, 2011
Why not just protest against the policy?
We are not under military rule anymore, are we?
Must we simply accept anything that's forced on us still?

PoliticsRe: Aljazeera Airs A Heartbreaking Program About Lagos(25 May 2011 -Video) by Seun(mod): 11:32am On May 27, 2011
The environment is dirty but the children look happy and well-adjusted.
To me this story is about the human ability to triumph in dirty environment.
These are people who left other African countries to find jobs in Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Full Text Of CBN Circular Limiting Cash Withdrawals & Deposits by Seun(mod): 9:59am On May 25, 2011
Stating that the CBN had not put a limit on the amount of money a customer can withdraw or lodge in a bank, Mallam Sanusi said what the policy said was that there would be a cost to the customer who lodges or withdraw more than the specified limit in a day.
Straw man argument. Nobody was confused about whether or not it was a total ban. Nobody.

Sanusi, disclosing that only eight per cent of bank customers withdraw more than N150,000 daily, said he could not understand the furore generated by the policy when such people made use of credit card, internet and telephone banking when they were abroad.
"Only 8%"? Are you kidding me? So it's ok to harm "just 8%" of Nigerians? That's 80,000 per million!

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Population: Sachs' Three-baby Plan 'tricky' by Seun(mod): 1:20am On May 25, 2011
There's nothing wrong with trying to control your population, but the forceful chinese approach is wrong. You can achieve the goal without violating human rights by teaching sex education and family planning in primary and secondary schools. You can go one step further and give positive incentives such as tax breaks or a prestigious award to those who plan their families well. Family planning award from the governor heh.
ProgrammingRe: Who Will Hlp Me With Materials On Java? by Seun(mod): 1:10am On May 25, 2011
No Fayimora, that's not how we do it on Nairaland. We don't discourage newbies, we welcome them and we answer their questions.
If there's an old thread that might be useful, we simply link to it. The first response a newbie gets shouldn't be "can't you search the forum?".  That won't do.  I'm only getting in your business because you want to be a mod.

@Zhedoga:
- The most obvious way to learn Java, in my opinion, is to use the official tutorial at:
          http://download.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/
- You should download the latest official 'JDK 6 Update NN with NetBeans N.N' at
          http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/

ProgrammingRe: Is There Any Chance That A Female Can Become A Very Good Programmer by Seun(mod): 8:05pm On May 24, 2011
Of course you can be a very good programmer. But you'll have to fight harder to be recognized as one.
If you truly love it then the sky is your limit. You can give yourself an advantage by using the very best tools.
FamilyRe: At What Stage In The Relationship Should He Tell Her He Can't Have Kids? by Seun(mod): 5:25pm On May 24, 2011
Of course it has to be before the proposal.
If she loves kids, then you should tell her immediately.
You should not waste a woman's time because it's limited.
ProgrammingRe: Advise Me On My Decision Plz by Seun(mod): 3:51pm On May 24, 2011
If you want to run a printing press, I don't see how AutoCAD is important. But desktop publishing is a little bit relevant, though you can probably learn on your own with a few books and the right drive. You should talk to a few professional printers about your dream; they'll know better.
CultureRe: How Do You Express You "thank You" Or "sorry" by Seun(mod): 3:41pm On May 24, 2011
Saying sorry or thank you does not hurt anyone. That's just a silly excuse to avoid the obligation.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan's Inauguration To Gulp N5 Billion, Church Service N63 Million by Seun(mod): 1:43pm On May 24, 2011
Kobojunkie:
What about a simple "get on with it" like the British? Why do we need to copy the US, whose inauguration ceremonies are built on TRADITIONS out there that are not ours? Why do we need to spend a Billion on this?
Exactly. Why do we need to copy rich countries? We should be frugal so we can catch up.

BusinessRe: Pump Price Reduction: Buhari Vs Jonathan by Seun(mod): 6:25pm On May 23, 2011
@greateros Why should I ban you? We don't do things like that anymore. Dictatorship is no longer in vogue. smiley

blacksta:
It is so true - if na buhari order price crash by force - The man would have been called all manners of name but it is ok for GEJ do the same.

Please check you conscience.
I think GEJ is just trying to prove that he's not as weak as they said. That he can be bossy too, if necessary.
