The show is neither about marketability or talent. It's about getting people to vote with their precious dollars.
A musician like Melinda with a super voice is more marketable than a slightly above average cute teddy bear.
A musician like Melinda that can make you feel a song with the way she moves is more marketable than a statue!

People are saying she has what "people" want, but "people" is you and I. If we don't like her, how can "people" like her? Jordin doesn't have much of anything that people want: voice, performance ability, or sex appeal!

She is 'cute' though. Cute like a teddy bear. Cute like a seven year old girl's nice elder sister. Not as an entertainer! She reminds me of 'cute' Diana Degarmo, Fantasia Barrino's rival, whose voice is equally forgettable.

Sanjaya's voice may not be the best, but he can perform and he looks fine. That's 2/3! Jordin has basically 0/3!

Adoption is a very good option for those who can't conceive naturally. An adopted child is 99.999% of a 'real' child.

Jordin had everything the singing industry is looking for.

But she (1) can't perform, (2) has a boring voice & (3) Is not even particularly beautiful (unlike Underwood).
But she was the best they had after the better performer(s) had been voted off. It's a pity she isn't very good.

Well I'm not in the younger teenage group, so I have a right to offer my own opinion. And I'm not impressed.
That voice lacks power. It's too weak. And it's not unique at all. Finally, the girl can hardly perform. Really.

@ Seun, its impossible to judge Jordin by merely listening to a few clips off the internet.

I watched the final on DSTV, and I was not impressed. At all. At least Blake was a phenomenal performer. The Judges were saying "oh" and "ah" but it's just a way of promoting her so that the gullible public will buy her album.
