how u give up dreams something to satisfy your love onesNext time, don't. (If your "loved ones" don't support your dreams, the maybe their "love" is an illusion. ) |
Malaria is said to kill millions of 'Africans' every year, but I don't think I know one person who died of malaria. I know of one child who experienced brain damage because of malaria, but that's it. Is Malaria that bad? ![]() |
If you don't admit defeat, what do you gain? Nothing. Admitting defeat is a sign of humility and honesty!! |
in British law you cannot beat your wife or child as it is tantamount to abuse and inhumane treatment. Why should you beat your wife and children? If someone wants to beat them, you should be the protector! ![]() |
Here's an unsurprising report from someone who has used HiTV: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-38479.32.html#msg975857 The reason we're upset is simple: we can no longer watch certain European football matches on DSTV. Personally, my landlord only subscribes to DSTV for European football. With this development, no more DSTV for us. |
I can't say I am surprised. The millions of dollars they spent fighting DSTV and acquiring rights for European football matches may have been better spent acquiring enough local content to justify the subscription fee. |
Even in Hollywood, there are more bad movies than good movies. The trick is not to export the bad ones. ![]() |
Let's be honest, even the most stubbornly out-of-date traditionalist cannot follow all the practices of his ancestors. Our ancestors were just like us in terms of diversity: they did not all practice the same traditions! |
I guess any further advice depends on the nature of your business, but, is it risky? Yes, definitely. It is very risky! |
Ferlie, maybe you are an exception. But to be sincere, much of what people call "love" is just a big joke to me. |
I'm beginning to start investing and doing business back in Nigeria.Alarm bells ringing. I found out labor is cheap and resources are readily availableLabor is cheap, but absolutely not reliable. Resources are available, but need to be monitored lest they disappear. but i'm scared of security. What do you mean by security? Maybe you should tell us more about the nature of your business? Will family be trustworthy enough to manage a business for me?Absolutely not! In Nigeria, you cannot trust your brother or sister or even the ones that bore you. If you want to start a business in Nigeria, you must be here to monitor every detail of the business personally. Otherwise, you will just lose your money. People will 'borrow', take, and steal until you have nothing left. If you must invest in Nigeria, maybe you could invest in the stock exchange market or something. But I don't even recommend that. Maybe you should look for something you can import from Nigeria to the US. |
If you've truly hit rock bottom, isn't it smarter to admit that and do whatever is necessary to get what you want? |
Listen. You are 24. If you give him those three years, you will be 27, at the end of it all. If it doesn't work out after those 3 years, it could take you another year or two to be able to heal & move on with your life. By then you will be close to 30. And the older a woman is, the less choice of suitors she has. The pool of men she can choose from, will decrease.I agree. If you must get married, get married between 24 and 28. Otherwise, be prepared to be single forever. ![]() Most Nigerian men are jerks. They have no problem with hurting the women they "love" at all. |
If you're a music producer, make sure you're around to catch the talented ones who fall through the competition. ![]() |
@topic: actually, one can be aggressive without being violent (trust me, I know) but if you think he's aggressive in dealing with others (not just you) then he might need some little white pills from a shrink. Trust me, I know. ![]() |
If it's ok for a lady to be aggressive, then it's ok for a man to be aggressive. Stop discriminating against men! ![]() |
She sure does like to display her boob job. If that is what 'hot' means, then she's definitely hot and spicy. |
What are your credentials? How do we know this isn't a trick to obtain fresh ideas? Just asking. ![]() |
I take a look at you and I draw conclusionsActually, this "gift" of yours is also known as prejudice. Scary thing is that I'm always rightSweetie, we'd all like to believe that our prejudices are right. That doesn't make them right! |
That's true o. Afterall the sex with the younger men would be more exciting, I guess? And they won't mind the free sex at all! |
Start here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OOP and ask questions about what you don't understand . |
I started up with Commodore 64 BASIC in 1991, after being taught the basics of BASIC with GW-BASIC. 3 years later, after a 2 year break from programming, I graduated to QBASIC. Another 3 years later, I discovered Turbo Basic which was fast enough for game programming though less advanced than Qbasic. Then I stumbled upon C through a friend and wrote some games with it (notably, a beautiful bricks game which actually worked on an 8086 computer after some optimization. Then I taught myself Visual Basic 5.0, thanks to pirated software. After another 4 year break, I started coding with C++ on Linux in order not to be a software pirate. Update: I also learned some Java, PostgreSQL and FORTRAN during this period at Ile-Ife. Later, after I left for Abeokuta to focus on the web, I started learning PHP and MySQL, which I use on all my sites, modifying queries and scripts to suit my purposes. I even wrote a MySQL 4.0 certification exam. Later I learnt to use python for an SMS site, but I couldn't get the business off the ground due to lack of capital to buy SMS credits. So in answer to the main question, I've used BASIC, C, Visual Basic, C++, SQL, PHP, and Python. What about you? |
