I prefer Nairaland! |
I wholeheartedly agree. www.craigslist.com But thanks to the spammers it's unlikely tht we'll have one anytime soon. |
You are welcome to the Nairaland forum! |
You're probably better off training yourself through the Internet and then getting self-employment. |
Says who? |

If you kill someone, you can still escape justice. Ask OJ Simpson. If you like young boys, you can still escape conviction. Ask Michael Jackson. But tax evasion? No way, you're going to jail. Tax is no respecter of persons! ![]() The "crimes" committed by Wesley Snipes could earn him up to 16 years in jail, while OJ and MJ are at home chillin. |
Please note a person start as UNEMPLOYED, before becoming EMPLOYED and now EMPLOYER.What about self-employment? You left it out, but it's very important. That's what I practice. I'm not an employer, but I employ myself gainfully. The problem is, its very tempting when, u know u’re qualified and can get a job, that can earn u much more,You can earn more money from a business than a job. It depends on how well you serve your customers. When I started Nairaland, my expectatins were very small, but my income suddenly flew beyond my target. When your business is successful, you will make enough to be able to employ a few other people to do your work. How many of the richest people in the world are employees? The road to big wealth is entrepreneurship. And even if you do not become the richest man in your state, you will make enough to be comfortable. In business, there's room for all of us to work hard and make money. As long as there are problems, there will be business opportunities. One man's painful problem is another man's abundant profit opportunity. One man's spoilt television set is an electrician's profit opportunity. One man's NEPA problem is another man's generator servicing opportunity. One man's problem getting laid is another man's dating service opportunity. Nigeria is full of big problems, and these big problems translate to big profit opportunities if we use them. We can't all be employers, but we can all be self-employed and comfortable. |
Nigeria is ready if we are ready. We are 'Nigeria', aren't we? All these issues are mere hurdles to be scaled. |
Subtlety is not valued in our culture. That doesn't mean we can't appreciate good movies, but it means that our definition of what is good in a movie is different. Different, not inferior. Some good Nigerian movies are being produced, but they are not being promoted especially well. The movie buyer can't differentiate between good movies and bad ones: the producers can't even be bothered to write the synopsis on the jacket!! But why? |
Journalists, politicians and activists like to talk about themselves as "stakeholders". I thought that was obvious. |
"Beauty" to me means not being ugly. "Brains" to me means ambitiousness backed up with intellectual capacity to achieve those ambitions. |
I don't see the difference between "true love" and "comptibility and understanding". "True love" is a fictional concept that filmmakers use to sell movies. Real life love is compatibility and understanding!! |
The lady in question should go to the nearest orphanage to look for a kid to adopt. Those ones have already lost their parents, so having a single parent will be a step forward for them. |
I got this in my inbox: https://img166.imageshack.us/img166/1093/bvsplusadom3.jpg |
He has settled the beef with IRS and no longer a wanted man. He made arrangement to pay back the money though.Bullshit. The trial date has been set for May 2007. He was arrested in December and is on bail. http://news.google.com/news?q=wesley%20snipes%20arrested When it comes to the issue of tax, you cannot escape "justice". Because they badly want your money. ![]() |
You can patent an invention or copyright a design or work of art/literature. You can't copyright or patent an idea. We all have untested ideas up there. |
I can tell that you like violent comics! |
That link takes forever to load. What's it about and how is it related to Saddam? ![]() |
Women marry average Joes all the time. I don't see what's unique or TV-worthy about that concept! |
Competition in business naturally leads to improvement in the quality of the product or service beng rendered. If the industry is not improving, then competition must have been stiffled somewhere along the line. Let's monitor the various trade bodies, labor unions and government regulators closely and we would find the source of the problem. Example: sometime ago, some actors were banned. Instead of being busy improving, they were busy sitting at home. |
They are scammers. You have been warned. |
I'm not sure, but if you want to know what the problem is you'll need to test every possibility. |
Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the LAN cable when that happens? What error do you get when that happens? |
Hehe. Losers. ![]() I guess they only get married because they want children. |
I'm 100% in agreement with that. The governments abroad are more hungry for money than those at home. |
What can posibly be different about advertising in Nigeria? Many Nigerian adverts are created abroad, you know. |
Ok o. Slave trade. Ok o. |
