If a woman can forgive a husband caught in the act, then a man should be able to do the same. If a man is arguing that his wife must forgive him when he strays, but that he can't forgive her when she strays, then he's a cheater. women take note!

If I know that she's only saying no because she wants to look "hard" or "expensive" I'll feel as if I'm being manipulated. And i hate being manipulated. I like straightforwardness and sincerity but I must admit that not all men (or women) are like that. Some people just prefer to live in a slimy world of pretence.

ProgrammingRe: Inserting And Retrieving Images To/From Database In ASP.NET by Seun(mod): 1:05am On Apr 22, 2006
You shouldn't store images in a database. You should store them in the filesystem and refer to the filenames in your database. That is easier and also more efficient. Cheers!

If you must store images in a database, use BLOB columns.

Thanks a million, 2cantango. You've just made my day. isn't it interesting how people find it easier to threaten to leave than to hit the "report to moderator" button to fix whatever is bothering them? And here was I almost declaring you a the mother of Nairaland. Thanks a million for euthanizing my hopes.

Now that you've threatened to leave, I feel so special as the admin. I feel as if the hard work I do to make the forum better is very much appreciated. Nothing makes me happier than favored members threatening to leave.

That's called a player. Why some people are most mean to the very people they claim to "love", I will never understand. When i say that "love" is mostly a joke, people call me a cynic.

PhonesRe: Starcomms Easter Bonus: Free Internet Access For 2 Weeks by Seun(mod): 10:50pm On Apr 21, 2006
Considering how ridiculously slow the bandwidth on the Starcomms network is, it would have been better if they used the money throwing during this 2 week period to purchase additional bandwidth (from NITEL's SAT-3 cable?) to make their network more tolerable. People who are doing serious online and are willing to pay to be online will be frustrated during this period as their browsing speed slows to a crawl.

Rhea: Thanks. that was insightful. kiss

Others: I think you're misunderstanding my question.

I did not ask "how to pick stocks" because I know all the theory you know and more.

The question I asked is "how do YOU PICK stocks". I am asking for your experiences. Why am I asking? Because I want to understand the psychology of an investor.

If you think I'm planning to invest in the stock market and I'm loking for tips, you're wrong. I'm just trying to understand how you guys reason, that's all. Do you now understand? Not "how to" but "how do YOU".

So I'm asking for real life experiences from active investors. The theory I know, thanks. Rhea, thanks.

1) Stop sleeping with the boyfriend/girlfriend you want to break up with.
2) Stop visiting him/her.
3) Stop calling him/her.
4) When your (ex) boyfriend/girlfriend complains, explain that you want to end the relationship.
5) Feel miserable and alone for a 4 months, while having several one night stands.
6) Jump into another doomed relationship after the waiting period is over.
7) Continue at step one.

Don't attack me; this is what people people do all the time. Surely it works for them!

Beckham is hot because he married a spice girl. In order to be as popular as Beckham, a black football player will need to marry a singer from Destiny's Child! (Beyonce Knowles or Kelly Rowland). Let us know when that happens.
