Reason for the name change: I don't want people to think they know "Seun" just because they read his posts online. I chose an Igbo name so more Igbos will be encouraged to register. I briefly considered using a Hausa name, but I don't want people to think I'm a muslim when I know nothing about Islam. |
There is the saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, because there is no objective measure of beauty. Beauty is subjective, and anyone that claims to objectively measure beauty is a fraud. When you want to judge a product or service, you ask a customer and not a competitor. Women don't beautify themselves for the sake of fellow women. They do it for men. Those are the customers. The best way to measure attractiveness is to ask members of the opposite sex. If i want to judge a man's attractiveness or sex appeal, I ask women. |
Perhaps the reasons they have given are not genuine? |
I'm thinking, "There are chemicals that make you feel the way you are feeling. Those chemicals are meant to prepare you for ![]() |
First I'll thank myself, because I'll be the only one who must have really believed in myself all the way and supported myself emotionally. Then I will thank people who provided tangible assistance (i.e. money) like my parents, their friends and my doctor. |
I'm thinking, "Love is mostly an illusion. And it hardly ever lasts. Is she going to marry him?" |
Perhaps she should stop dating boys who lack self-confidence i.e. ugly boys. |
There's nothing wrong with cutting your budget to meet expected revenue. Why should we be spending millions of dollars on movies when we haven't started investing in more fundamental services like power generation? I think it's splendid that we have a system in which you can actually make money from a movie that costs 1 to 2 million naira to produce. This leaves us with capital to invest in more important things. |
My family members (wife's in-laws) will have their own homes and we will have our own home, and we will only have to meet during Christmas. It shouldn't be hard for my wife to be nice to them for 24 hours in a year! Besides, we all hold the idea that a marriage consists of a man and his wife, period. |
The general belief here is that scary dreams and funny feelings experienced at night are due to the actions of evil witches and wizards performing 'operations'. |
Where did you read that mosquitos can carry and spread HIV? Source, please. Meanwhile, I'm rushing out to get myself a Mobil/Raid spray to murder the mosquitos in my room. |
Free: Iyawo CalabarMan. omogenaija: Nne. |
I know that I'm very grateful for your encouragement. I know that I chose Nwoke because it means "Man" (does it?) |

I know that snazzy loves (or doesn't love) all her admirers equally. I know that I am tired of server administration challenges that cause downtime. |
You're a woman, chinani. It takes a man to judge a woman's beauty! Afterall, we're the ones that want to sleep with them, not you! ![]() |

Obviously, at the time the decision to use Ajami on the naira note was made, the Hausa population was larger than any other ethnic group that may have deserved special consideration. One thing that I have noticed is that whether there is "arabic" (Ajami) on the naira note or not, an Igbo man or woman can earn it and spend it with no problems. This is a non-issue. If Nigerian cultural values are superior, then why is our country lagging behind in all sectors? Count yourself lucky that you have a husband who leaves you to run his family as you wish. I would never allow that. |
