Divulging recent trades is not a professional thing to do
This makes no sense to me unless you're working for someone as a stock trader. Are you? huh

more so that nairaland is not an investment forum
The Nairaland Business Forum is a forum that covers entrepreneurship, investment, and management, and this is an investment topic!

Is there a way you can get back your money? Start working on that as soon as possible. Sorry. You want to know why he's still e-mailing you? He wants to see if he can squeeze more money out of you.

Do you want revenge? Contact his web host and domain name registrar by phone and let them know about the scam operation. Even if you can't get your money back, you'll be able to protect other people by getting the site shut down. Sorry about this.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Investors: How Do You Pick Stocks? by Seun(mod): 8:37pm On Apr 20, 2006
You trade equity options. The "right to buy" shares at a given price for a fee. That means you might bet against stocks as often as you bet that stocks will grow. How do you choose which stocks to bet for or against? can you give us examples of recent trades and reasons behind them?

Give us more insight into how you are able to put food on your table from what looks like a game!

on what market are the stocks you are referring to traded? this might allow us reply you better
It doesn't matter. if you own stocks, whether in Nigeria or in the US, we want to know what made you pick those particular stocks!

Technical Analysis all the way!

I try to avoid days when earnings are reported!
Are you a professional trader? Can you name some specific stocks you've picked, why you picked them, and whether they have performed to your expectation?
FoodRe: Interesting Information About Mcdonald's Meals by Seun(mod): 6:47pm On Apr 20, 2006
Why wouldn't the tips about effects of fast food apply to Mr. Biggs? afterall, fast food is fast food whether you buy it in Nigeria or the US.

however, fast food outlets in Nigeria are not yet as popular as mcdonalds, so the other tips won't apply.
InvestmentStock Market Investors: How Do You Pick Stocks? by Seun(mod): 6:13pm On Apr 20, 2006
This question is for those of us who currently have some money invested in the stock market:
How do you choose which publicly traded stocks to invest in?

Do you rely on business newspaper reports, analysis of general trends like globalization, hot tips about mergers and acquisitions, analysis of the graph showing the direction in which the stock is moving, or IPO adverts?

In answering this question, can you disclose which stocks markets you participate in and what percentage of your income is now in the stock market?
Christianity EtcRe: Good Friday Miracle Night With Pastor Chris by Seun(mod): 6:04pm On Apr 20, 2006
I am interested in what dearzi has to say, since she has testified to the healing of her sister. This is a great opportunity to learn a lot. dearzi is a gift to this forum.

Reverend and 4getme, please do not post on this thread any further. Please.

@joyalways
Aaah!! i'm based in the US, but my brother, who is a Christ Embassy pastor in Kent, called me y/day to tell me that our baby sister got healed, she's had a hairline fracture for about 11yrs, i'm in tears even as i write this, the bones had healed over each other, so she couldn't extend her arm, but at the program she got her healing, 10 years!!!! who ever doesn't believe in miracles, i don't know what to say! this is my own sister!!!! same mother and father, no one layed hands on her Cry (tears of joy) but she was screaming at the background when i was talking to my brother this evening also, she said "my hand is straight" i'm so excited, it is indeed the set time for Zion,

I can't begin to list all the things that are happening in our lives, but i'm so excited about my sister, healed in the name of Jesus!! she didn't go to Nigeria, she was at the program in London!!!
@ Nwoke
What would you like to know? i can tell you. She called me this morning, to tell me again, she got her arm fractured when she was playing soccer, she was about 8yrs old, she left for the UK to have surgery and stuff, and nothing worked, if she could be screaming and calling up the whole world to share her news, it really must be something for her to shout about, that's why i'm happy, because for her age, she saw too much because of that arm, from the hands of those ijaw people that were trying to force the hand to straighten, from the con lady that claimed she was specially trained in massage therapy, it's so much, i can't tell you all, but what i can tell you is, Embarrassed as a family we saw HELL because of that arm, and after 10yrs we have a miracle,

Larger_20 and 4real, thanks for rejoicing with me, as you rejoice with my family, the Lord will shower you with favor, your mouths will be filled with laughter, He will put new springs in your feet, beat down every mountain before you in Jesus name, you will walk in victory, goodness and mercy will never be far from you in Jesus name. You will burst forth in testimonies in Jesus name. I'm just so glad, because when the Lord turned around our captivity, as He did Zion, we were indeed like them that dreamed, and all those areas where you need a turn around, receive a turn around, even now in the name of Jesus. (Y'all are bringing tears to my eyes)
Ok, dearzi, we hear you but we need more info. This is not to doubt you but to convince ourselves.
- Were you aware of this fracture before it happened?
- When did your sister leave for the UK?
- How old is your sister now?
- Can you get her to join the forum and testify?

In your answers, we'd like you to differentiate between:
- What you saw with your own eyes.
- What your baby sister told you.
- What your brother, a christ embassy pastor, told you.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Starting Salaries In Nigeria by Seun(mod): 5:38pm On Apr 20, 2006
The thread How Much Is a Good Salary In Nigeria? answers your question very well.

Would having a masters make this salary higher?
Yes, but it would also make it difficult for you to get a job with smaller companies. if they can't afford to pay the higher fee they think you are worth because of your masters degree, they simply won't hire you!

CelebritiesRe: Beyonce Vs Kelly Rowland by Seun(mod): 4:43pm On Apr 20, 2006
Why is "wife material" Kelly Rowland still single? Wife material was engaged in 2004 after a NFL player proposed to her , expected to marry in 2005 and this is 2006 and "wife material" is still unmarried. Please explain.
Fashion/Clothing MarketRe: Tyra Banks Vs Naomi Campbell by Seun(mod): 2:45am On Apr 20, 2006
why do married women dress well when their husbands are away?
To impress other men, so they can lust after her.

You mean that women display their boobs, thighs, buttocks and tummies and wear transparent clothes to impress other women? If so the world must be full of lesbians and bi-sexual women!

However, I am a man. I do not waste my time admiring 'sexy' men. It's simply not logical. Beauty and fashion is all about impressing the opposite sex. Women dress "sexy" to attract men. If it was not so, they would not feel the need to display more skin and wear transparent clothes.

ProgrammingRe: Anybody Conversant With QT GUI Toolkit? by Seun(mod): 1:31am On Apr 20, 2006
Trolltech's QT is probably the best C++ GUI and C++ code abstraction toolkit out there. It has graphics, networking, memory management, and just about everything you need and it weighed 800kb or so last time I checked. It can also be statically compiled so you don't need to distribute any DLLs with your app.

What about QT is pissing you off? Is it the price of the more important Windows version?

ProgrammingRe: What Aspect Of Programming Gives You Problems? by Seun(mod): 1:13am On Apr 20, 2006
Oh, I hate debugging so much. It's bad enough that sometimes it takes hours to complete a small program, but isn't it really annoying when a program that took 30 minutes to initially write takes several hours to complete because of some minor bugs?

The worst kind of bugs are runaway pointers and memory leaks in C/C++. Typographical errors in dynamic/scripting languages like PHP can also be difficult to track down when they don't trigger parsing errors but affect your results. That's the cost of flexibility.

In summary, I hate having to spend hours debugging a simple program; it makes me feel unproductive. That must be my own poison. for that reason alone, I'm going to be working with freelancing programmers a lot.
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Right For A Christian To Take Alcohol? by Seun(mod): 1:03am On Apr 20, 2006
This is another case where modern science and culture has progressed beyond that of the bible, forcing biblical apologies to insist that the more refined norms we follow today were in the bible all along. Moderate drinking of alcohol, like slavery, was never condemned in the bible.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: MCSE Holder: Getting Well-Paying Job In Nigeria by Seun(mod): 10:03pm On Apr 19, 2006
Your university degree is important to employers in Nigeria, as well as your experience which is most important. However, if you know people in management, you can get a good job after completing your MCSE training. No junior-level manager wants to be blamed for hiring non-degree holder that failed to perform!

CultureRe: Raising Your Children The Nigerian Way When Married To A Foreigner by Seun(mod): 7:38pm On Apr 19, 2006
I think it's smart for a parent to be approachable like mamaput. What you instill in them willingly, because they want to listen to you, will last longer than what you try to instill to them by force and fear. Children learn by example. If you are well-mannered when you're around your kids, they'll be well-mannered too. If you are not, then all the cane in the world won't make them turn out right.

The Nigerian way didn't work for the parents of Abacha, Ojukwu, Dokubo, Alameigseigha, and co. it will probably not work for you. So thank your stars that you are in a more civilized society, and embrace their way of doing things. ;d. Thanks for participating on the Nairaland Forum!
Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairaland Addicts: How Many Pages Of Nairaland Do You Open? by Seun(mod): 6:53pm On Apr 19, 2006

CelebritiesRe: Beyonce Vs Kelly Rowland by Seun(mod): 6:00pm On Apr 19, 2006
I don't believe that there's any "wife material" in hollywood. "Wife material" (good girl) is more of her image and not necessarily her true personality. Afterall, birds of the same feather flock together and this woman is in the same group as beyonce! However, askmen.com seems to agree with you.

Attached are pictures of Kelly rowland, the "wife material". What makes her a wife material? huh
