For the community generator, I'll use electricity meters to measure usage and employ a strict computerized prepaid electricity vending system. One possible improvement on this idea, informed by your idea above, is to install a monstrously large battery bank, which would be charged either by NEPA (when available) or by a generator. I would bill at a rate higher than that of NEPA. A battery bank would be better than a generator at adjusting to wide fluctuations in the demand for power. The higher price will motivate people to save power to lower their bills, but power will be available whenever they need it. i read a news report recently in which the Lagos state government was calling for power investors. |
an empty "Investment scheme" is not a legitimate business. There are much better ways to make money. You have to generate value by solving people's problems. |
Why should I want to promote our culture? ![]() |
In the future I'm going to work with some doctors to implement a more customer-focused approach to medicine. Imagine doctors that have such good manners that you make you feel like falling sick so you can see them again! I can implement the idea of paying the doctors to keep their patients healthy and happy always. Just wait and see! |
Hot_Coco: I would invest in electricity generation if I had the money, because it's a very obvious need that surpasses the need for telecoms that led to the GSM revolution. So far the only power investment I have been able to make is in 2 100AH batteries and an inverter that powers my PC every day when NEPA/PHCN strikes! Later I will invest in a personal generator, followed by a community generator for my street, and finally a full-scale power plant for the town I live in. If you have the capital, please rush into it today. We need you. |
there are basically two good options: 1) Graphcard.com. 2) Get a Mastercard through your bank - Zenith, GTBank, STB, Intercontinental, etc. |
Why should a bank have to cater for poor and weak customers that are tainted by corruption? ![]() |
It's interesting how Mariah Carey is not a skinny woman but we still see her as being beautiful. Why would someone want to know what a celebrity weighs? |
Why should I choose your site over Hi5 if it's nothing more than a clone of HI5? |

Let's be sincere, Nigerian newspapers are very boring. The adverts for jobs, computer parts, houses and so on are probably more interesting than most articles? Anyone who feels me? |
I'm thinking "love fest". I hereby steal all your kisses and run away! |
We are waiting for your information. Even if all you remember is the title of the song or the chorus, please post it and you will be mightily blessed. |
I am dissapointed in all those who are 'seconding' charlisco. Don't you have eyes to see that the two boards have already been merged? Sometimes I worry about some Nairaland members. |
Hello bossman, Welcome to Nairaland! Seun. |
I am dissapointed in Nigerians just as I was dissapointed in Americans when they re-elected Bush. Shame on us! |
Yeah. And after a few weeks you will both start cheating on each other but don't worry about that. |
A source that requested anonymity told AllHipHop.com that Proof was in the club after-hours when a heated verbal argument between Proof and a bouncer allegedly broke out and escalated. Proof was shot and killed around 4:30 am on April 11 and the bouncer was seriously wounded, both with gunshots to the head. "Proof knocked dude down and stood over him with gun in hand," a source close to Proof told AllHipHop.com. "Proof shot first. The bouncer on the ground didn't shoot Proof another bouncer did. Proof was shot 4 times. Twice in the head and twice in the chest/stomach area." http://www.allhiphop.com/hiphopnews/?ID=5555 |
Invest in electricity generation. There is an acute demand for reliable, affordable, noiseless, and environmentally safe electric power supply for homes and businesses in Nigeria. |
Hello Jagunlabi, Welcome to Nairaland. Are you young, or are you old? ![]() Seun. |

What about www.covenantuniversity.com? Assuming the Vc wants to know how to improve the site, what would you tell her? |
Fantasia Barrino. I'm going to urge her to get out of the American Idol slave contract as soon as possible and get herself decent managers that can promote her by choosing the right songs for her voice instead of turn her into yet another R&B rapper/slut just because she's black. |

1 Type Of Woman Men Avoid:That was a joke. All women are emotional. I'm trying to suggest that a woman avoiding the kind of men listed in the first post is probably avoiding all men! |
When I decided to split the religion forum, about 50% of members who wrote in were against it. The decision to merge the threads is a popular one. I try to support muslims because they are under-represented on the forum. |
That should mean April 12 is the deadline? |
