FamilyRe: Men And Women Are Equal! by Seun(mod): 12:49am On Feb 18, 2006
I disagree with the idea that the woman is just "a helper". Eve might have been a helper for Adam, maybe, but that doesn't mean all women are helpers and nothing more. Men can be helpers and encouragers too if they so desire, instead of just acting as commanders. I believe that a woman has the right to pursue her own "selfish" goals and be supported by her man. Her goal in life should not be limited to "helping" the man to achieve his own selfish goals in life.

"Circumcision" is a terrible sin against women and their future husband grin.

Ok, gbenga explain to me the problems you are having with texpad?
That is why I suggested the use of the Netbeans IDE. Problems with Java should be about Java itself and not "Textpad" or other third party tools. With Netbeans, compiling your program is as easy as pressing a function key!
Nairaland GeneralRe: When You're Looking For Something And Can't Find It! by Seun(mod): 9:27am On Feb 17, 2006
I can lose a key or small object in 15 seconds:

I hide it somewhere safe and then promptly forget to note the location. 15 seconds later, I'm asking myself, "where did I put that key?"
CareerRe: Would Nigerians Employ A Virtual Office Assistant? by Seun(mod): 8:56am On Feb 17, 2006
Perhaps you'll need to setup a survey to learn that.

Another point: Most Nigerians - particularly businessmen - don't like to interact via email or chat. They don't take you seriously unless they can hear your voice, so you will need to use a combination of voice chatting and email for colaboration.
Jokes EtcSexy Charles Soludo Plans To Recapitalize Nigeria by Seun(mod): 8:35am On Feb 17, 2006
https://i1.tinypic.com/nxm9s3.jpg

CBN Governor Charles Soludo is a very sexy man, He was chosen as the world’s sexiest banker for his feat of making his picture appear in 4 out of every 5 newspaper editions published in Nigeria during 2005. He has cute dimples, lovely brown skin and an infectious smile that makes it easy for us to forget the unemployment he created in the banking sector to reduce his workload as regulator.

If elected as president in 2007, he plans to weed out the weak and poor Nigerians who have been tainted by corruption: by increasing the minimum capitalization requirement of each Nigerian from 0 naira to 400,000 naira. Individuals who cannot raise 400,000 naira cash are advised to put themselves up for acquisition by rich friends or relatives, or else they run the risk of being made available for cherry-picking by slave-masters at 1 naira each.

who says you're not inferior? :-o (just kidding)

I regret not being business-savvy as a teenager. I wouldn't have spent so many years chasing crazy complex projects when there are so many simple projects that would satisfy people's needs and also make me money.
BusinessRe: Private Security Business In Nigeria by Seun(mod): 8:09am On Feb 17, 2006
According to President Obasanjo, Nigeria is a grossly under-policed state. So I think security is a lovely business. We have to prevent crime because there's little that one can do after it has happened.

RomanceRe: I Like This Girl In MY Class, But Does She Like Me? by Seun(mod): 6:43am On Feb 17, 2006
I think she likes you and would like to be your girlfriend.  She doesn't seem to enjoy instant messaging as long as you do.  There's a possibility that you don't have many shared interests (implying that the relationship might eventually fizzle out ppeacefully? huh)

Sole proprietors like me would not mind such a service, as long as it's provided by a reputable firm that I know will only employ trustworthy people.

One challenge is the current high cost of telecommunications, but some people will nevertheless find such a service useful.
FamilyRe: The Ring And Marriage by Seun(mod): 4:24am On Feb 17, 2006
I don't really see why it should be hard for a man to get a ring for his wife. I mean, come on, how expensive could a ring be? If your wife says she wants the feather of an ostrich, and that is what will bring peace to the home, why not? Even if he feels the ring is nothing, it is something he should be able to get. Unless he can't afford it.

If your uncle can't buy a simple wedding ring, I suppose the idea of getting a flower or a valentine's day card will be something he can't even imagine.

CrimeRe: My Female Friend, A Virgin, Was Raped By Robbers by Seun(mod): 1:13am On Feb 17, 2006
That's because rape is a serious crime punishable by law. it's not a game or a fun thing for discussion; it's a crime for the police to investigate. Nairaland cannot punish criminals so we have to leave that to the police.
