I doubt the Orangun of Ila is a first class king and highly respected. Upto last year I was still seeing him walking on the campus of OAU, Ile-Ife alone.

That is the problem some of the kings that their domain Is not strategically located is facing, you will wonder why orangun of Ila may not be known but ataoja of osogbo is known.

In hierachy Timi of Ede and oragun of ila are superior to ataoja of Oshogbo but modern days development has changed everything.

Bro, Esu is not Satan.
Satan/Devil in Yoruba is 'sataani'.

Esu is a god messenger between Olodumare and humans, he is also a major prankster/trickster. Esu is a god that must be appeased before any ritual/propitiation/scarifices are done all of which he must be offered a certain quantity first before any other god or awon iya.

Every babalawo/onisegun/awo who has a shrine deducated to any god must have Esu erected close to the deity as well as Ogun who paved way.

First class in which aspect?

Is it in state or in a standard Yoruba concept.

At state level, we may have many first class king depending on the size and importance of their community in the state.

In a standard Yoruba concept, we don't have many first class king and I don't think oba of Lagos is among.

The traditional first class Yoruba kings are Orogun of Ila, Alafin of Oyo, Oni of Ife, Alake of egba and oba of bennin.

The next in hierachy are: Olubadan of Ibadan, awojale of Ijebu, Timi of Ede, owa obokun Of Ijesha, onokoyi, Osamawe of ondo etc

The third level are Soun of ogbomosho, olofa of offa, akinrun of ikinrun etc.

Some of our popular kings are made popular because of the mordern development which favour their community and they become more popular.

For instance Deji of Akure in not bigger than Osamawe of ondo but since akure in the capital and Deji is the king of Akure, his throne overshadow the king of ondo town.

Alex Ekwueme built the PDP from the G34. Its ideals were noble.It was later infiltrated by the likes of Atiku and Obj who have now killed it after using it for their selfish gains.
Though am igbo,I will advice that towards the 2019 election,the chairmanship of the party should be zoned to the south west and given to no other person that Ayodele Fayose.
That is one man who can fight dirty enough to wrestle power out of the likes of tinubu. By 2019,his administration would have ended and thus free to assume that role.

You are right but does Fayose has the finance, what help Tinubu are
(1) Finance (Lagos state deep pokect that is why PDP want to kill themselves over Lagos)
(2) Very poor performance of PDP in southwest( people detest PDP in southwest because of their poor performance in 8years they spent in each state except Fayose's regime. However Fashola came with magic and word spread to other states and boom ACN took southwest, even though APC still don't match the standard performance but they are far better than PDP. Out of 100b loan osun state owe diffrent banks oyinlolas PDP borrowed over 70billion and he borrowed 18billion a month to his eviction from office)
3) Ability to persevere.

I think the objective of NDDC (an intervention Agency) should be redefined. Development is not about roads, we need serious human development in the region. Partnering the FG may lead to unnecessary bickering and politics(if you know what I mean). What we MUST push for is true federalism. The FG and the States should pursue their respective programs for the development of the region. Time to hold people accountable is here

About that true federalism, I think that was one of those thing APC battled PDP and co for during the national confab and I wish they can do it now that they are at the mainstream. Honestly I thought that is what Jonathan will push for when he was first elected, rather he went for second term and I said it on this forum in 2012 that his two terms will come and go without any legacy for his people. I argued with sincerenigerian his official nairaland spokeperson @ that time, that what is he going to benefit from his second term agenda that is greater than constitution reform he was working on in 2012. I said it is better he channels is energy and presidential power to reform constitution for the favour of his people but some thieves around him convinced him otherwise.

One of my displeasure with Jonathan's government was the elevation of militants above law abiding citizens. Gen Buhari should revisit the Amnesty program but remodel it to Niger Delta empowerment program so as to capture every Niger Delta citizen and not just the so called militants. He should scrap the policy of making payment to anybody but engage people in trainings and skills acquisition that are relevant to the development of the region. I believe Jonathan/Yaradua amnesty package did not truly address pertinent issues. However, the long term solution is true federalism and resource control(I hope I'm not misunderstood)

What I want is real development of nigerdelta, what we have right now is empowerment of few to the detriment of other. I wish FG can partner with each state government in Nigerdelta region. It should be a joint venture where federal government, state government and oil and gas industries will contribute certain percentage of their income to provide basic amenities and improve the standard of living of everybody in the delta.

Right now all we have make Mr A rich scheme at the end of the day, Mr A lives in Abuja, has investments in Ghana and treathen in the nigerdelta when ever he sees his make rich scheme being taken away from him.

You really want to cripple the party, for a party to move forward it must have a national outlook.
