One of my greatest selling point had always been the fact that I am very outspoken. Well that advantage turned into a great disadvantage for me today . I have always heard about people saying how they kept on saying rubbish at interviews and they new it but could not stop themselves, that was exactly what happened to me today.

Today I woke up very optimistic, I had an interview in V.I, that was number one and another job consideration, number two. In which, conversations had already begun on it.
I got to the venue of my first interview very early and I was person the first person to be interviewed. After the interview I got a call to come back for another testing to decide who will get the job. I was already congratulating myself,only for me to shoot myself in the leg as my brain was coordinated but my words refused to follow suit when asked what I thought of the job.

Alas , my mouth started spewing out jargon about how not tasking enough the job was, shuuuu for someone that has been sitting down at home for over a month after service. I tried to rephrase my words but Iro o, the deed had already been done. After listening to my self and seeing the expression of the interviewer, I new even I wouldn't employ myself. I was devastated at how, so close to the job I was and how I lost it to over-zealousness.
Not long after that I was dismissed while, the other girl girl stayed behind. That was when I realized the gravity of what my mouth had done, I already passed all the test to the best of my ability but why would you tell an interviewer that the work is not mentally challenging enough!!! who does that

Now the second one was supposed to be easy, as the owner of the business has already called me and I thought we were on track only for me to return back b from the island and receive a message about how someone else closer to the office has been found and even had an experience in customer service. Alas that was the Last straw, I received the message and I WEPT.

It feels so good to have finally arrived at this point in my programming journey, i had been chronic procrastinator until my supervisor hit me with this project topic (hospital management system) and I decided to sit up and do this one myself. I have been coding but this is my first ever long term completed project. So I am going to post it as an open source to mark my foot print in the programming hierarchy. For anyone who is working on similar project, you can use this one as a reference.

1. this system includes a one time installation module... which would require server and database information-no big deal.
2. it includes an admin module that has the Carter Blanche to create and administer every other user of the system which includes, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, cashiers.
3. the nurse module gives the nurse the ability to admit a patient into the system and also update their information including readmitting.
4. the pharmacist can only add and modify the drugs in the hospital stock.
5. the doctor has a module to record and view a patients treatments and prescriptions and only the doctor can discharge a patient.
6. the cashier's module handles billing of discharged patients and updating their payment status.

this system was written in php and uses mysql as the database. I have to warn though that this system should only be executed on local machine, reason being that i ignored some security measures which makes this system vulnerable to attacks if its hosted online and i did this because i wanted to meet a deadline. But with subsequent updates this issues will be fixed.

Anyone using this software has no rights to sell.

Too many of my first projects have died an early death because of that sentence.

This is an excuse that neatly covers failure for just about any work. It’s so easy to justify. But just because an excuse is justifiable doesn’t mean it’s worthwhile. Because I can always imagine a time when I’ll feel more refreshed and more energized, “I’m too tired” can ruin any chance I have to make something.

What to do, then? Run a few laps? Get more sleep? Drink five Red Bulls? (The last one only works for most of my developer friends — don’t try it).
Half of the real problem of exhaustion comes from distraction. The problem is not being too tired. The problem is having a divided mind.

Most of us probably have a dozen different projects going on at the same time — or worse, left ignored. This saps our confidence that we can do new work well (or completely). It keeps us from reaching the creative focus needed to get into the flow states that make work fun.

The solution I’ve found? If I want real momentum in starting something, I have to finish something. I can only start from where I left off, so I begin by fulfilling the goals or obligations I’ve left halfway to completion.

As simple as this solution sounds, getting the mental space to start something new is rarely as easy as checking off the last item on my to-do list. I have to ask myself a few questions first:
Where does this work fit into my priorities? — Completing old work should remove a stress point or obligation, or it should make starting new work simpler.

How long will it take me to complete this? — Since my main goal is to begin something new, I want to tackle something I can finish in a reasonable amount of time.

What mental roadblocks are holding me back from finishing this? — Odds are, they’re the same ones — analysis paralysis, fear of embarrassment, fear of negative feedback — that will do even more to hold me back from starting something.


When I have the answers for these questions, I know what to take on first. That takes some of the uncertainty out of sitting down to start a work session.
More importantly, once I have the forward momentum of having done something important, starting something new doesn’t seem nearly so hard. And when I’ve done something really cool or worth sharing, I don’t feel nearly as tired.
What excuses are holding you back from doing great work?

Don’t just procrastinate or force yourself to run up against walls — rethink the source of your problem with the work. The solution may be counterintuitive: like me, maybe you need to finish things before you can start them.
