I failed to renew my visiting visa during the drop box era, so i had to schedule an appointment to be interviewed. While I was waiting in-line for my turn, I couldn't help but over hear the visa officers asking applicants why they had over-stayed a previous visit and immediately refuse to renew their visa despite coming back to Nigeria after 2 to 5 months. Reality struck when it got to my turn and I was asked the same question after staying 3 months.
Please I will like to know if anybody has experienced this too and scaled through despite staying longer than you applied for. Thank you

Please can you share your transcript, we will like to learn from you. Thank you.

That's censorship.
NL shouldn't make you stop airing your opinion on issues here on NL.

Please don't stop talking to please anyone else opinion.

At this stage, if that is what will prevent me from rolling in the mud I will do it, but my opinion that Nigeria is no where near UAE, South Africa and Doha before Pres. Buhari became the President still stand, I don't know the man from Adam but even if my enemy is the President of Nigeria, I have no choice than to support and work towards the greatness of this country because I have no other choice anyway, at this stage I will desist from any political chit chat on this forum and focus solely on why this forum was created, to assist and provide an enabling environment for applicant interested in applying for U.S Non-Immigrant visa with the intention of returning to Nigeria after getting the visa and visiting U.S.
May God help me.

Can an appointment be changed from Abuja to Lagos and if possible ;what is the procedure?

I hope this is your first time of doing it? if so just change Abuja to Lagos from the profile/scheduling website and look for appropriate date in Lagos, you can only cancel your interview date once.

Nigerians are USA's most educated immigrant group. 37% of them have Bachelor's Degrees, 29% have college degrees, 17% have Master's Degrees, 4% have PhDs.

Nigerians in USA made $14 billion & paid $4 billion in taxes in 2018.

Sources: Texas Rice University, New American Economy.

But it's convenient for some of you to smear the country at every given chance, you think outsiders knows about APC or PDP?
Very soon our eyes will clear, as for me it's Nigeria or not.

Yes I can reapply from there. The real question is if I'm allowed to apply from a country I don't live in. I'm not sure if I'll be allowed. Any ideas?

The reason they denied you is because you included U.S as part of the country you want to shop for your business... you should have told them it's for tourism purpose not for business or shopping, if you don't shop in U.S it won't affect your business.

I stand gidigba with my moniker! After
I got introduced to this platform, it took me over 6 months to start posting freely, I first took time to learn the ropes, especially on how to cope with the "abusive" ones, and on first having a background knowledge of how the visa application process works. Today I'm better for it, I will tell you my mind without fear, it's a faceless forum even though about 2-3 persons know me personally here. They are actually the reason I don't do somethings like the "abuse-game" here, they can't ever picture me in that light nor believe that is me, so, I keep it clean like my natural and cultured self, except once in a while sha....

Hello House,
I have a B1/B2 Visa used once for a holiday, 3 weeks and back in Nigeria.
Now I have a gig Stateside that I will be paid. It will be a 5 week-long project.
Isn't that violating the terms of the B1/B2?
Is it possible to come up at renewal time?

You know you can't work on B1/B2 and staying in U.S for 5 weeks is not really a big deal if you have a good reason to back it up.

Good pm sir and ma. I have been following this thread for long and I want to thank you guys for thr big job u r doing here. Pls, I'm about to travel to NC this month. My concern is I told VO I would be using 9 days for a b1 If, at the POE, I tell them I intend to spend 2 weeks to see around. If I go ahead and book for two weeks stay. If I change plans and want to use one more week in NC, will my flight ticket still valid. Because I believe I would have misSED my flight.

Pls very urgent as I'm about to find cheap flights.

Call your airline or travel agent to get assurance if you can change your return flight date, please don't overstay ooo

How good is cabo? I saw one outrageously cheap ticket last year but the routes was turninoninown. I tear race. Cabo airline was among the carriers.

You won't get Emirates/ME/KLM treatment but surely above Royal Maroc although a little bit old plane from Icelandic Air grin

I think the stop over in Cape Verde is between 6-7 hours

It may not necessarily be a B1/B2 visa that they are on, else, that would be a very dumb move made. I believe strongly the situation isn't really as illustrated nor as understood here. There are several other visa category that could allow such move. I bet if it were a B1/B2 visa the other family members were holding, the woman barely would have left that building without her own visa being cancelled, barely! This is my personal take however....

I thought he said the dad is in U.S and you know us Nigerian, we can dare anything.

She living in the USA on a visa and want to immigrate with the kids on a tourist visa too?

Things they happen for naija! Lol

Can you imagine? they both got U.S visa using the kids as ''ties'' the next plan is to get visa for the twin so they can all move abroad.

That's true though. A travel history is good. Not everyone has the money. Like that woman heard the last question I was asked "have you ever traveled *****"? She came outside and was asking why I hadn't traveled to Dubai or Qatar.

For my little mind, no be everybody get money o.
why bother apply for U.S visa which is more expensive to travel to then those mentioned countries?

sir you can try caboverde airlines since it's Boston, they have cheap prices but might not be as comfortable as emirates

With 7-8 hours stop over, I can fly Cabo if they will allow me leave the airport.

It depends on several other factors though. Many a time during search have I seen cheap return flights, if not cheaper flights, on Emirates, either coming into or originating from BOS.

Yes but since they reduce the flight to Boston to one daily flight, it's a bit expensive to fly to Boston with Emirates, I think the cheapest might be on Delta or Airfrance.
