True! That's why I want to re-appeal but I need as much information as possible to prepare myself cuz I wasn't expecting that question about why I stayed longer after all we are given 6 months max at the point of entry. undecided
Good luck with your quest....

LOL! No need to do it in person, machines do it. How do you think so many Nigerian scammers are arrested in US or recently leaving US? The difference is only in who was sent to jail (even found and brought to American Justice from another country, even from Nigeria and confiscated their properties) and the small scammers just left under observation until it is worth it to jail them and get all their money. It's all about money, follow the money.
And of course if you stay 1-5 months in US and not working, then no more visa for you. Go to be a fake tourist somewhere else.
I'm sorry to say this to you ''You don't know anything'' The reason that guy was arrested was because their was an arrest warrant (by FBI) on him while he was in U.S and the only way to arrest him was when he's returning to Nigeria.
U.S is one of the few countries you can literally disappear, and those scammers it's their time to face justice.

Normal routines he has been doing. Travels when on leave, meet old friends. Not like it's is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th time he does that.

Why he could be denied based on the fact that he spent one month baffles me despite his travel history. A detail statement or accusation would have just clarified that.

But heard is the norm now, they just look the slightest excuse and bounce one off.
He can re-apply they will issue him visa if he can defend his 1 month stay.

URGENT!!!
Good day everyone here. I must I've heard so much about this forum and how it has been of help. Please permit me to go straight to the point.

My wife is a student in America and we're expecting our first baby by May by God's grace. She is staying with her uncle who lives in Maryland. I want to visit around the time of delivery.

I don't know how to apply for interview. I don't know if i can still get a date in March in Lagos for the interview. How much is visa fee now?

Please i need answers to these questions and much more. I need directions.
I am new to this forum and i would be glad if this is responded to.

Thanks in advance
Not sure they will issue a b1/b2 visa, why not apply for F2 visa?

Great guy, that's my man.

To be honest, NL is the last place I normally would want to discuss politics, and this thread shouldn't even be the place at all. The challenge is that I can't just stand and be mute where the product Buhari is being promoted unnecessarily or worst still being exonerated!

This paragraph was supposed to be for me to say "I'm sorry" to you, it's not flowing, because the difference we have has to do with Buhari, the man who promised heaven but delivered hell, the one who finally run Nigeria and Nigerians aground with emptiness, primordial sentiment, ethnic chauvinism, nepotism, etc. See what securing visa has become of us as a nation worldwide these past few years, it was never and has never been this bad! Insecurity at its peak cry.... Now, I'm getting overly emotional.

See desperation and hunger everywhere my brother. Do you know we will all have a feel of its effect? Seye, my big Odugwu Thermocool generator was stolen and sold off for peanut by a former banker and a miscreant in my hood, if you see the CCTV footage and the suffer the guys went through to get it over the fence, you'd weep. Couldn't help letting them go because of his young family. I visited 5 different states in the US on this my last trip, one thing was common amongst our people there, the pressure from home has increased astronomically, a lot have resorted to move from avoiding calls from Naija to blocking friends and relatives on the various communication platforms just to keep their sanity. It's that bad!

"At this stage I will desist from any political chit chat on this forum and focus solely on why this forum was created, to assist and provide an enabling environment for applicant interested in applying for U.S Non-Immigrant visa with the intention of returning to Nigeria after getting the visa and visiting U.S." I just quoted you now, that sums it for me. I'm following you sir, you are a dear friend I met on here and cherish much, I'm really sorry if I got on your wrong side, pretty sorry, sincere apologies. MAY NIGERIA BE GREAT!
I'm not blind to those things you complained about, it's something to be worried about but if you know the reach of our nairaland forum opinion and information we share, we have no choice but to promote our country, I have first time traveler to Nigeria asking me if the country is safe, where is safe and what can they do?
I'm sorry about your Gen and have to be honest with you, if we can get electricity right we're on the right path.
Love you bro, one love.

I failed to renew my visiting visa during the drop box era, so i had to schedule an appointment to be interviewed. While I was waiting in-line for my turn, I couldn't help but over hear the visa officers asking applicants why they had over-stayed a previous visit and immediately refuse to renew their visa despite coming back to Nigeria after 2 to 5 months. Reality struck when it got to my turn and I was asked the same question after staying 3 months.
Please I will like to know if anybody has experienced this too and scaled through despite staying longer than you applied for. Thank you huh
Please can you share your transcript, we will like to learn from you. Thank you.

That's censorship.
NL shouldn't make you stop airing your opinion on issues here on NL.

Please don't stop talking to please anyone else opinion.
At this stage, if that is what will prevent me from rolling in the mud I will do it, but my opinion that Nigeria is no where near UAE, South Africa and Doha before Pres. Buhari became the President still stand, I don't know the man from Adam but even if my enemy is the President of Nigeria, I have no choice than to support and work towards the greatness of this country because I have no other choice anyway, at this stage I will desist from any political chit chat on this forum and focus solely on why this forum was created, to assist and provide an enabling environment for applicant interested in applying for U.S Non-Immigrant visa with the intention of returning to Nigeria after getting the visa and visiting U.S.
May God help me.

Can an appointment be changed from Abuja to Lagos and if possible ;what is the procedure?
I hope this is your first time of doing it? if so just change Abuja to Lagos from the profile/scheduling website and look for appropriate date in Lagos, you can only cancel your interview date once.

Nigerians are USA's most educated immigrant group. 37% of them have Bachelor's Degrees, 29% have college degrees, 17% have Master's Degrees, 4% have PhDs.

Nigerians in USA made $14 billion & paid $4 billion in taxes in 2018.

Sources: Texas Rice University, New American Economy.
But it's convenient for some of you to smear the country at every given chance, you think outsiders knows about APC or PDP?
Very soon our eyes will clear, as for me it's Nigeria or not.

Yes I can reapply from there. The real question is if I'm allowed to apply from a country I don't live in. I'm not sure if I'll be allowed. Any ideas?
The reason they denied you is because you included U.S as part of the country you want to shop for your business... you should have told them it's for tourism purpose not for business or shopping, if you don't shop in U.S it won't affect your business.

I got introduced to this platform, it took me over 6 months to start posting freely, I first took time to learn the ropes, especially on how to cope with the "abusive" ones, and on first having a background knowledge of how the visa application process works. Today I'm better for it, I will tell you my mind without fear, it's a faceless forum even though about 2-3 persons know me personally here. They are actually the reason I don't do somethings like the "abuse-game" here, they can't ever picture me in that light nor believe that is me, so, I keep it clean like my natural and cultured self, except once in a while sha....

Hello House,
I have a B1/B2 Visa used once for a holiday, 3 weeks and back in Nigeria.
Now I have a gig Stateside that I will be paid. It will be a 5 week-long project.
Isn't that violating the terms of the B1/B2?
Is it possible to come up at renewal time?
You know you can't work on B1/B2 and staying in U.S for 5 weeks is not really a big deal if you have a good reason to back it up.

Good pm sir and ma. I have been following this thread for long and I want to thank you guys for thr big job u r doing here. Pls, I'm about to travel to NC this month. My concern is I told VO I would be using 9 days for a b1 If, at the POE, I tell them I intend to spend 2 weeks to see around. If I go ahead and book for two weeks stay. If I change plans and want to use one more week in NC, will my flight ticket still valid. Because I believe I would have misSED my flight.

Pls very urgent as I'm about to find cheap flights.
Call your airline or travel agent to get assurance if you can change your return flight date, please don't overstay ooo

You won't get Emirates/ME/KLM treatment but surely above Royal Maroc although a little bit old plane from Icelandic Air grin

I think the stop over in Cape Verde is between 6-7 hours
