Hello beautiful people, I am looking for a condo or a room apartment very close to the University of Manitoba. I’d appreciate any leads to getting one. Thank you |
Toodirty:Exactly! Thanks. |
What does a ghost update (email) mean in this study permit application? Anyone knows? Submitted my application yesterday. |
Shammak:@Evolgbae, the link doesn’t work. Could you kindly check the link and resend? |
Evolgbae:Much appreciated, Evolgbae |
MissShakara:Thank you. Yes, I was hoping that the current situation will give some exceptions to some extent. I was told by some students of UManitoba that it’s possible to work as an assistant due to the desperate need for nurses at this time. Thanks again, MissShakara |
Good day beautiful people, Can an EU trained nurse with (UK license) work as a nurse/nurse assistant while on a study permit (MSc) in Canada? Winnipeg to be precise |
mcobex:Submission of official final transcript by the university |
JustMellow:Much appreciated |
Blema111:Yes, that's exactly the condition. Thank you! |
Good evening beautiful people. I have a quick question. Can one apply for a study visa with a conditional letter of acceptance? |

Ormohlawlah:Godsblessings I would suggest you call the undergraduate admissions office and request to speak with the Registrar regarding that. I did that and it was "waived" although I had a different case. I have a Bachelor's degree and the Registrar also made me send my expired IELTS test reporting form (expired in January 2019). On my admission portal/self service, English Proficiency has been waived for me. Like mcobex said, you can always try. |
JustMellow:Noted. Thanks bro for your input |
Qudkom:JustMellow suggested the same. I will do just that! Thanks so much for your help. Have a nice weekend. |

Qudkom:Thanks bro I just saw this https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/researcher-exemption.html I think I need a work permit. I was exempted from applying for work permit last time and I cannot be exempted again unless it is after 12 months. Please go through the link (if you are not busy) and let me know what you think. Thanks for your help bro

I urgently need help on this.. Anyone? JustMellow Qudkom Shammak: |
Good morning fam. I appreciate everyone for their contributions on this platform. This is my first time on this thread, I have a question and I would appreciate your help. However, if this is not the right place to ask, kindly point me to the right direction (I have asked the same question on tourist and student visa thread though). Last year in July, I was in Canada on a temporary resident visa (visitor) for a research internship. The research internship was for a month. This year, I got a scholarship from the Québec Government to undergo a research internship for 4 months from May/June. However, I am confused on which visa to apply for. While I was reading the requirements on canada.ca of all the temporary residence visas (visit, study and work permit), I stumbled on a line which got me confused "who has not worked in Canada under this exemption in the last 12 months" (I attached a screenshot of the page). Here is the link to the page https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/permit/temporary/need-work-permit-work.html I worked as a research intern (with a $1000 scholarship from my supervisor) from July 15 to August 9, 2019. Now, I plan to go again as a research intern who would get stipends from the Québec Government for 4 months (within the said 12 months). In this case, which of the temporary resident visas is best for me? NB. The research internship will be at a University in Québec and I applied/will apply for the visa from Vienna, Austria. Your help is greatly appreciated.
