Truth is that our time always come in life. It was that male teacher's time age wise, etc. and he enjoyed it.

Today you are more than your secondary school young days, and your time will / has also come; because presently you may be dating a beauty that youngsters and teenagers are crushing and fantasizing over but they won't have access to her except in rare cases.

So it's the cycle of life. Pẹ̀lẹ́ smiley

WORDS ON MARBLE FROM SOME OF MY NIGERIAN LECTURERS
1. "If I teach you and you understand, it means I've not done anything!"(followed by Patience Ozokwor kind of laughter)

2. "I pity those who are spending money on you because you can never amount to anything in this life"(when a student adjusted his seat during class)

3. "I'm an old war horse! There's nothing anyone can do to me in this school. So if you like, go and report at the senate".

4. "You say you don't have money? You're not serious. Don't you know what your mates are doing for money? The boys among you should go and do Yahoo and the girls should stop f**king small small boys. Look for real men who can take care of you".

5. "I won't beg you to buy my book but when next I come to this class, I'll be reading it like newspaper"(in a 200L mathematics class)

6. "For those of you who thought I'd retire this year, I have bad news for you. I have five more years to frustrate your lives. You'll continue to see my ugly face"(when GEJ added 5 years to their retirement age)

In summary that's most of the knowledge acquired after spending 5 years in the university. Whatever is keeping us afloat now was learnt outside. Sad.

Let Tinubu or Peter Obi win, let them give you good governance, highest 8 years, another fulani Terrorist is coming again to spoil it for ya all in the front.

kayusely70:
You've spoken very well and reasonably too!
Thank you chief.

You see, it's tiring when people can't see far and search out for the roots of their problems and misery even if they won't go for the necessary solution. At least, it should be found out and known.

The first problem is the 1914 amalgamation which was attended by only six leaders from the protectorates to form Nigeria. Where were the interests of the citizens of these protectorates in this decision?

None!

So it means they were just sold out like animals who has no say on their lives. These were people that had empires and distinct languages and culture.

That said, let's agree that we needed some of the white man's enlightenment; we got it when some sons and daughters of these protectorates got the western education.

Now, these sons became the leaders of the first republic. These leaders didn't think far into the future, they accepted to become one while ignoring their differences.

I remember I read somewhere that Awolowo initiated the move for secession clause, while Azikwe waved it off. Azikwe said no need of looking at our differences which Ahmadu Bello cautioned said our differences are important.

In short, they all goofed, because they should have separated at independence but they were carried by the white man's new light which made them look more important and privileged than the rest of their folks.

The republic was destroyed by the coup, bla bla bla, in short, south east was weakened in civil war, north became more powerful (even though north central was regarded as all north then).

Now, all of the above proved they were never one and they needed to retrace their steps back to the roots (where each came from).

These differences are the problems rooted in culture, language, religion, values and many diversities.

Let's cut it short, Nigerians have been suffering since the sixties and it is apparent that a ruling syndicate have been formed by some of the first or secondary leaders (in which Obasanjo is one).

They are the predators, the citizens are the games and this is very real. This is in connivance with the strangers that colonized us. All of them (southern and northern leaders plus the British) don't want to see Nigeria divide because they are all benefiting from the riches here.

But it is a also glaring that the north is lording itself over the rest of the regions in the country. And subtly, a particular violent tribe residing there is the main culprit.

And recently, the turn out of events shows that the interest of this tribe is far more than just being the lord of lords in Nigeria, they are interested in complete annihilation of other tribes.

Now foolish southern leaders in connivance with them think everything ends in just sharing the loots and they haven't worked in the interest of their own people (of course because they are the games).

Obasanjo didn't reject or change the constitution as the president for 8 years. Jonathan spent millions on confab and didn't implement it, even knowing that a document revealed that the 1914 amalgamation expired in 2014. And worse still, he allowed a core terrorist man with bad antecedents to get elected in 2015 on the grounds of not allowing blood shed.

Excuse me, what has been happening since under this president if not bloodshed, sorrow, underground wars and tears (the same Jonathan said he avoided by giving in to him).

Jonathan had the chance to put everything on in his favor, but he was timid. Buhari taught us by ignoring all cries and the Federal character. He made all odds in his favor (INEC and Chief Justice etc). And made sure he got his second term, same thing Jonathan should have done perhaps this present evil would have been nailed to the coffin.

Now, many just claim intellects etc. You can see them here, on Twitter, Facebook etc. They have not inquired to know some of the things in our constitution which clearly favors the north over us.

In the national assembly, there are no equal number of senators or reps from all regions, rather north holds the largest number. It means if they cooperate against you for their gains, they will always win.

How would Tinubu be able to do the best he can if he is elected? Taking Shettima is even a foreseen doom for him, he could be killed early and of course Shettima rules on, just saying.

Will these northern senators and reps allow Peter Obi to do good? He could be easily impeached even if he has allies among his southern brothers. Just saying.

Shettima even has a rumor of dining with terrorists, and if we guess right, imagine he gets an eight years, or someone who is brilliant, wicked and evil like El Rufai gets into the presidency, how do you think Nigeria would look like?

The basis of what I'm saying is that all the clamors for Obi or Tinubu won't end our sufferings. Whether Tinubu or Obi gets elected and the elect gets his 8 years rule, and let's imagine we enjoy the 8 years, you all are still coming back to scorpion sting rule of the north under another fulani government, and if you are unfortunate, he will be more wicked than Buhari.

I see Nigerians prolonging their slave life and evil days by a Tinubu or Obi ticket. They are still coming back to sufferings whether they like it or not.

As for Southern foolish leaders, many of them are just old, they don't know about wars. That's why they think they are enjoying sacrificing their subjects because of money. They also will become a victim as few of them have already had.

They don't understand the template of ancient warfare that the fulanis have imbibed. I hope it won't be too late for all of us.

I hope we were discussing face to face, I got many things to say which typings have made limited.

Note that all these evils are to the delight of the British government because they benefit from our pains and it is their joy that the most brilliant West Africans (Yoruba /igbo/southern Nigerians) don't rise to glory because they have hidden hatred and racism toward us.

All this nonsense must end with the coming of Peter Obi
It won't end ọ̀gá, stop deceiving yourself. What will soothe the citizens is if Nigeria breaks or the constitution is changed to benefit every region. Asides that all other thoughts about election, voting or PVC is a pipe dream.

My colleagues in my office know me very well, even if your party is next street, I will not come. There have been more than 25 weddings, naming ceremonies, burials, e.t.c. I attended none, but I bought Aso-Ebi for all of them so that they will not think it is poverty that is my problem.

We are colleagues, not friends. I know my friends. Even those that thought that they were my friends in the office, they were surprised that I did not attended their occasions. One did wedding at a big Anglican Church which is four houses from my house, I still did not attend. People should learn to separate work from friendship. While still at my current office, I did a child naming ceremony and my grandmother's community carnival like burial, I invited no single office mates. You are in the spirit. My own small church love feast don teach me lesson many years ago. Imagine a love feast in not so big church and some youths were not served. #poorplanning

Food dey but the servers (female choir and co workers) were busy serving themselves and church elders and elderly members instead of allowing food to go round by serving from row to row.

Till today I never believed I couldn't eat that jollof rice that day. It was during xmas/new year or so. My younger brother was wiser, he don chop jollof wey our mama cook before him leave house.

Me relied on the sweet mouth of the pastor since the previous week say everyone go chop tire cheesy not knowing I was fooling myself. These pastors na Pounded Yam dem chop sef.

That their jollof get salad with cream and I no taste am, Chai! angry angry

The thing be say some of us wey regret na adult youth and young youths wey cool wey no dey forward and wey no be church workers, we just believe say dem plan well, so we no hustle for the food that day.

And I didn't expect we'd be hustling for food in a not so big church. I get one malt but in decency, I had to pass it across to the first person in the row in expectation that it will be served round, alas! I miscalculated. As the server dey serve, na so dem go call am comot, serving don end be dat.

In short, na two buttermint sweet reach me wey I carry comot for the church that Sunday. angry angry angry

My younger brother just dey laf me cheesy grin
I was seething with anger and disappointment with red eyes. Na my mama jollof I come back come eat angry

Since that day, any occasion I wan go, church or wedding or funeral ceremony, I must chop something before I comot house.

We too dey self centered in this part of the world.

I still dey vex o even as I'm typing and anytime I remember that day angry

We all felt dejected, our town visiting still far from Akure, we have leave on time because of the security situation in the country, we don't know when food will be ready..

KíWe all left the church in annoyance, they have cancelled the reception,. You have to take care of your guest separately.

Our drivers face is not accommodating at all, we did not allow him to finish the Baron,
His driving was reckless throughout the journey,he was driving with anger, we cautioned him, but remain adamant, we got home safely..
It was later we got to know that the husband was forced to do the wedding, none of his family members came to the wedding, the lady is a single mother.

The woman came to school on Monday , and we are all expecting her to apologise to us but to my greatest surprise, she started yelling at us that she does have any fault, she complained we should have waited for the food to get ready before leaving, she did not even say a single sorry..
She gave everybody a bigiapple, but I returned my own drinks back to her, i requested from the social committee to give me the #500 I contributed..
It's not all ocassion that we should always attend...
Hahahahahahaha..... Nnkan ń bẹ ó.. Both the lady and the guy dey mad. You no even thank God say you chop beans and bread comot house, if not you go see wheen. cheesy cheesy
