tochimas:Remember that he (buhari) had ruled this country before and he did nothing to suggest he favoured one religion over another. Inter religious tension was at its lowest ebb during his rule. He should be commended rather that maligned on this aspect. |
blemon44:Remember Buhari ruled nigeria before and never took any action to suggest he favoured one religion over another. In fact his regime has on record the most peaceful coexistence between christians and muslims. |
patrick89:Acting like a bull in a china shop, now respond to this.
|
candidbabe:Little do you realize that on account of someone that you had never met before nor even realize what his true intent was for you except for the age long instituted hatred that you have been made to develop against him, you can gift away your eternity just like that by making silly comments on an online forum. You think you are anonymous to everyone but you are not anonymous to God. If you are a christian, you can be rest assured that you have already strayed, math 12:35. |
patrick89:Like dr nick on g3 newspaper review on rainbow fm this morning. When tambuwal defection was announced, he based his entire analyses of the situation on the moral integrity of tambuwal. Moral bankruptcy this or that, he kept on mentioning. In fact, he was hard at accepting that tambuwal security be restored to him until several callers mentioned it before he also started mentioning it in rather subdued comments. But today, after jonathan's declaration of yesterday, he was all over the air emphasizing the constitutional correctness of the declaration of president jonathan to contest for another term of four years. No single mention of the question of morality. Yet here was a man, i.e. jonathan, who had abundantly made it clear he would not be contesting in 2015. Shame on you dr nick, the self-styled jonathan apologist.

oyeludef:Like you have a better life than an Afghan, fool. For you info, 1 Afghan AFN is 3 Nigerian NAIRA. Yet the only commodity they have in exportable quantity is opium. You don't know how this country has been run aground. |
mundus:You nailed it bro. I can now read the speech ahead of him while listening to him on channels, all online. Speech is itemized in 112 paragraphs. |
beejaay: u cant say am not a scholar ( what is the yardstick for calling someone scholar). no one has verdict more than me on what Haram or Hala is except God Himself (and His prophet), everyone else is just like me and i can even say am far better than them (cos i dont know whats in their mind but i know mine 100%).@beejaay You have made a statement of absolute inclusion by what you have said above. You should apologize publicly. Are you superior to Abubakar, radiyAllahu anh. Are you better than Umar, Usman, Ali (radiyAllahu anhum), the ash-sharaai mubashshara, Abdullahi ibn Mas'ud, Ubayy bin ka'ab and others among them (radiyAllahu anhum). Are you also better than uwais al qarni, rahmatUllahi alayhi. Watch what you say, if you are indeed a muslim. |
Ibnjurayj: Since you don't know about the yet then you should seek knowledge from the people of Haqq first before blabbing on NL on matters relating to aqidah.Salafis are not ahlus sunna wal jamaa ah. Do you call your narrow-minded interpretations of many Qur'anic verses as sticking to the Qur'an or do you call your picking and choosing ahadith as you desire as sticking to the sunna? When you concretize your above claims about metaphysics and logics, i shall also elaborate more on my submission. But as for "blabbing on NL", I say thank you my dear NL certified aqeedah specialist. |
Ibnjurayj: Don't give us that terminology (khairul quroon) as everyone knows that the four Imams school of laws are madhabs. Make it easy for people. I asked for your scholars you mentioned 'khairul quroon' (the four imams) and so do we Salafis follow them too in matters relating to fiqh.Of course Abu al Hasan Ashari, ra, was originally Mu'tazilite, then made tawbah and became a member of Ahla sunna wal jamaa and defended this creed for decades. But the way that you put it is wrong. You are making it look like he had just one last gasp chance to become sunni which he did just before his death. So you are ill-informed on the matter. Imam al Maturidi, ra, on the other hand had always been on the aqeedah of ahl sunna wal jamaa, so what repentance do you expect of him? Salafis don't follow the four imams in fiqh matters, they pick and choose ahadiths as fits their desire (anil hawaa). When they get beaten to a corner, they look for a loose end of hanbali madhhab to latch on to. I just gave you an example above. |
Ibnjurayj: No wonder you make takfir of Salaf us Saaliheen straightaway, the real Asharis among the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah always defend the Salaf us Saaliheen but those who deviated from the fold of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah do opposite. You need sound 'Aqeedah akhee, may Allaah guide you amiin."the real Asharis among the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah". So who are the others besides these real Ash'aris who have failed to defend the salaf us saaliheen. If you still went ahead and classed them as members of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah as well, then your statement as quoted is misleading. You should identify them before you guide me to the sound 'aqeedah. In my post I mentioned Maturidiyya/Ash'ariyya, now you mention just Ash'ari. Is this a deliberate omission and why? |
Ibnjurayj: Could you please tell me the meanings of the above 'bold' words brother, as i've never heard of it? It seems you are a student of Arabic maa shaa Allaah. With the aimma, I was referring to the recognized four imams of the ahla sunna wal jamaa in fiqh, raa, as they excel others during their respective times and regions. I am not surprised you said the word is strange to you though. It is your way. The aimma, ra, have already taught the umma how to observe salah in a proper manner based on sound evidences and basis. The salafis came up and are attempting to change the masaail centuries on. For example, the aimma, ra, taught the ummah to place hands in salah: to tie hands hands below navel (al imam al a'zam abu hanifa, ra), or to leave them to the sides (imam malik, ra), Imam Shafiee, ra, says that they should be placed above the navel but below the chest and imam ahmad, ra, made a provision of below or above the navel all basing their deductions on sound basis. But your salafi imam, al albanee, (wanting to prove the aimma, raa, wrong, and that they should not be followed), said the hands should be placed on the chest. The salafis pursued this position aggressively about. But some of them now realizing the superior bases of the aimma, ra, can now be seen bringing them close to the navel and above it (I'd even seen some who used to clasped their hands around the neck region). That is how they went about muddling up established religious rulings. I have not set out fully on the path of 'ilm yet. I am very concerned about my deen, though. |
You need sound 'Aqeedah akhee, may Allaah guide you amiin."Takfir" that is you saying that. It is your known strategy to attack with harsh words. May be you should show me where I made takfir of the salaf us saaliheen in my statement above to start with. |
Ibnjurayj: Shukraan for letting me know brother baraka Allaah feek, and what manhaj/aqeedah are you upon?Ahla sunna wal jamaa. Follower of the imams of the khairul quroon qarni (ra) in the matters of imaan (Maturidiyya/Ash'ariyya) and a follower of the imams of the khairul quroon qarni (ra) in fiqh (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hambali), specifically adapted to the hanafi fiqh though. |
Ibnjurayj: So what are you insinuating? You are a salafi, you are not ahla sunna wal jamaa period. The two are different. So stick to your salafi name and dont try to describe yourself as ahla sunna wal jamaa. |
Ibnjurayj: Should have mentioned Ahlus Sunnah wal jama'a, im sure you have heard about that. The real ahla sunna wal jamaa are the followers of the Quran and Sunna, the concensus of the sahaba, rad, and the derivations of the fuqaha of the salaf as saliheen (recognized majorly as the aimma, raa) and not any reinventing of the wheel by the so-called modern day salafi offshoot antagonizing established knowledge and muddling up the religious rulings. |
owendei: ...n hw is xtianity painted 2 moslems? old fool!We can't get better educated this way. I leave you to your curses. |
shala: @shawl.So the qur'an have several version and translations by different authors?Smart but not an accurate conclusion sir. The holy Qur'an was revealed to the prophet(saw) in arabic. So he (saw) dictated each message to his companions(rad) as was being revealed, had them memorize it, written down, and recited under his tutelage. That arabic version is ONE, not several. However, because the message of the Qur'an have pearls that are buried in the depth of the ocean of wisdom contained in it, attested to by the Qur'an as being a book for those of deep reflections as well, scholars who have attempted to translate the holy book could only have done so to the level of how deep they can dig in order to effectively communicate these in their translations (not an easy task at all). For example, you will find in the Qur'an words that were new to the arabs themselves, geographies of places they never heard of beforehand, stories of past prophets (as) with special anecdotes, explanations of the internals of human systems hitherto enmeshed in superstitions, astronomy and climatic conditions, and of course predictions for future occurrences, just to name a few. So the translations differed based on the level of the understanding of the authors of these very diverse topics in the Qur'an. The good thing however, is that you can clearly spot the scholarly insertion of an author, which he may add to emphasize his own understanding of a given verse and we have the original source to use in determining whether or not this is the true context of the message. This is how the versions of the translations came to be. Back to the issue, the non-muslims are quick to refer to that version of the translation, but traditional and earlier sources point to the contrary. May Allah help us to understand. Thank you sir. |
Holy Qur'an chapter 112, can be roughly translated like this: Say, "He is Allah, One(Unique), Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He begets not and neither is He begotten, And there is none unto like Him" Here the holy prophet Muhammad, s.a.w, was made to teach the people the perfect understanding about Allah, God Almighty. It is very easy to understand about God Almighty from a religion. But that religion must be founded on perfect doctrines. That is why many people are confused today because they have been raised upon certain beliefs which can not now stand their grounds in the modern world. |
proo212: But Surah 9 was revealed after 628A.D. So what do we do with the excerpts belowThe verse 9:29 still does not invalidate the import of the letter. You should note that "(even if they are)" is a scholarly insertion in Yusuf Ali commentary and not a literal translation from the original text. For example, in another translation, it is given as: Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled. Sahih International. And this gives a different understanding to what TroGunn is implying. May Allah guide him. This is the advantage we have in Islam in that we have the original source as revealed to our prophet, saw. So understand. |
TroGunn: It's Mohammed's hypocrisy and confused thinking that creates terrorists like Boko Haram. Saying one thing like the above and then turning round and commanding Muslims to fight non-Muslims for not being believers. The world would have been better without him. Imagine him spewing the following rubbish and them claiming it's from God:This verse doesn’t ask the Muslims to do mindless slaughter as the media portrays or deceives. It gives the Muslims the permission to fight only those non-Muslims who do not pay jizya – the state tax. And we all know that jizya is applicable only in an Islamic state. Neither India, nor US or Britain are Islamic states. So to put this verse as an excuse for what happened there only shows how biased, unknowledgable and unfair the media is and it hurts us deeply. I can show whole verses from other scriptures that are truly inhuman, yet no one questions them. Do you want a sample? Ill give it to you at the end. I promise. Arysexy: more of islam miraclesIf your wife asks you how she looks, there is only one answer to this (an answer in the positive) irrespective of how she actually does look. This is the kind of permissibility pointed to here, not your own conclusion. |
