Thanks. First at 18weeks in my Dr's office scan but I decided I'll wait and use the report from a trained scan personnel, my Dr is a Fertility Specialist (OB/Gyn and an IVF Specialist).

I went for 20weeks Anomaly/Anatomy Scan at Afriglobal and it was same thing. They do the scan within 18weeks to 24weeks of pregnancy costs N15,100.

Thanks for the info. That amount is on a higher side o. scan in my area is #1500

I use st.rapheal specialist hospital,u can also try ajayi specialist hospital,oak hospital.... ikorodu Is a big town it all depends on your location

Good evening sis. How is st.rapheal because am thinking of using it with the general hospital am using because is my hubby HMO. Most people around me that used there are CS. I haven't seen anyone around me that did virginal delivery.

Ajayi hospital is ok. I did my industrial attachment there in 2010.

My Pregnancy Story

Good morning, am happy to be a participant of this giveaway.

I got married Dec. 2015, I was 4 months pregnant before wedding because we decided we wanted it that way.
when my daughter clocked 1 year, we started trying but for like 3 years of active kpetus, nothing happened.
That was when I started appreciating God for my first conception without delay.
Trying to conceive is all God's doing.
I went from herbal to churches, different stories , most of those churches said it was my first daughter that doesn't want me to conceive, they started polluting my mind.

I took herbs for one year, I took in between but lost it to miscarriage. I don't pray to go that herbal again in my life. what I did, I can't still believe till now. I was really desperate. I got tired of the concoctions and stopped going.

I did self medication because I was diagnosed with high prolactin, I bought bromegon used and took in again, another miscarriage happened around 12 weeks making it two times last year.

I and DH decided we should visit a gynecologist because I got tired of loosing my babies to miscarriages.
We got his contact from a general hospital and visited him at his private clinic. That was a week after my last Evacuation. He placed me on drugs for a month which I used judiciously.

Immediately I took in , my body started changing , I felt it but I needed a test to confirm.
So I took the test earlier that expected, and boom it shows a very faint Line.
I kept praying to God to perfect it. Days later , I did another one and it shows my BFP results.

I went back to the gynecologist, he placed on drug( blood thinner). I went for scan at 4 weeks , nothing was seen , I was advised to come back after two weeks.

At six weeks scan showed a threatened abortion. I was scared, I went back to the gynecologist to show him the result, he was seriously sick with Covid 19. He couldn't attend to anyone.

My DH said we should go to general hospital and see a doctor, I went there with the scan results ,I did scan in three different places to confirm the threat.

I was placed on bed rest and progesterone which I took will 12 weeks.

I don't have any strange symptoms apart from sore breast.
No spitting, No vomiting.

Am now in my 16 weeks , Team August 2021.
All Glory and honour belongs to God for giving me the opportunity to get pregnant again.
My tummy is already showing , all my clothes are tight.
Everybody is now calling me Iya ibeji.
Have started baby shopping and am almost done.
I use my pregnancy as a point of contact to TTC and GTC mothers, God that picked my call will do the same to them too.
I will be here to share by BS in Jesus name.

I cried when I read this. Don't give up . God will bless your troubles with double blessings sooner than you expected. Just allow your body to heal physically and emotionally

Una good evening I dnt really understand some Gynae there is this hospital my hubby loves So much he wants me to start antenatal there cos his wife’s friend gave birth there and it has plenty efficy,I have experienced miscarriage b4 at 6weeks and it’s was due to low progesterone cos I did hormonal test to prove that, Nd immediately I confirmed positive my Gynae friend told me to start duphaston and metformin till 12 weeks ( cos I have pcos)I called the MD of this hospital to even have a conversation with him

I lied to him that I am out of town and I tested positive and a doc in my location prescribed metformin and duphaston cos of my history cos I stated down my history that I just wanted to knw if I am doing the right thing but I was surprised the man said I dnt need any of the drugs that the only thing I need is folic acid

But I have even read a lot abt duphaston and how it helps to reduce risk of miscarriage the whole thing just tire me tho I dnt intend start antenatal till I am 12 wks

I will advice you to change hospital immediately. My previous miscarriages usually took place at 6weeks. from spotting to heavy bleeding. I was only using doing scan and self medicating planning to start antenatal at 12 weeks.

when the last one happened, I vowed to see a better gynecologist, I went for scan at 6 weeks dot and a threat was detected. God used the sonograher to save me this time. I ran down to general hospital immediately and was placed on progesterone will 12 weeks.

Note: the cause of the miscarriages I had before was due to hormonal imbalances.( low pregesterone at 6 weeks)

Good afternoon everyone,

I came back from the hospital today in tears. When the man was asking me plenty questions during the normal abdominal scan, I knew there was trouble. He asked me to go and pee and come back for trans-virginal scan. With both transabdomenal and transvirginal scans, nothing was found.

The doctor said I'm "unlikely pregnant". He only said I should come back after one month if I don't have my period, so tests van be done to know why I'm not yet seeing my period.

But I had ovulation about three weeks after the miscarriage, met hubby, no period and no ovulation since the Jan I met hubby.

So what's with the positive blood test?
What's with the itchy boobs?
What's with the metallic taste?
What's with the mild cramps, no blood?

I'm just so devastated right now.

I can't even use the drugs the doc prescribed for infection bcs I read in it manual that it's not good for first trimester pregnancy. I don't know if I'm pregnant or not. I don't understand anymore. I'm supposed to be 7weeks+

Is it possible for a trans-virginal scan not to see anything at week 7 too??

Six weeks is not too early. it helped me to discover the causes of my previous miscarriages which usually takes place around that time.

Edd........Aug 27. It can only be God, started antenatal yesterday. Am no longer on progesterone injection. I will carry to full term in Jesus name. God that did mine will answer all GTC soon

The best is to go and meet that same doctor at his private hospital or clinic. it brings bout Better and faster result. it just took me a month to conceive.

OK. Doctor confirmed me pregnant today. Though, I'm still surprised bcs I thought it was just malaria I had as I have been admitted in the hospital since Wednesday. Doc only said I should come back after one month for checkup and scan. I'm also considering quitting work bcs this pregnancy seem to start rough as I can't hold down any food which makes me very weak and sick with lots of vomits and bcs of a history of miscarriage.

wow congratulations. we shall carry to term this time. mine conception was very fast too. I took in less than month after the miscarriage. just get enough rest.

Amen. I stopped at 28 weeks, My Doctor asked me to stop at 24 but i added additional 4 weeks doing it every other day instead of daily

Mama, how can one source for progesterone before going to the hospital.

Is mostly prescribed by the doctor if there has been an history of miscarriages or hormonal imbalance before pregnancy. The drug is difficult to get anywhere. I bought a pack of 10 amples for 20000 at Ikorodu , Lagos.

Thanks so much ma. And sorry for yours too. Double for our troubles. I have been feeling sick since Sunday with no improvement despite the drugs and injection. I was advised to take a PT which I did with a test strip this morning but it came out negative. Though, I've not had my period since then but I felt my ovulation Sat/Sun. I hope to get a positive result soon. My health is a bit better today.
Pls, must I take progesterone immediately I test positive or just reduce stress?

I started the progesterone when I clocked 6 weeks that threat was detected in scan. I stopped working because am still on bed rest. I did scan last week at 8 weeks and some days , scan shows everything is ok. But am still on the medication and bed rest

So so sorry dear. I had mine exactly two weeks today @ 6weeks plus. Just got home from work and started bleeding the rest is history. I have not been able to forgive myself because i didn't start taking progesterone immediately i got a positive pregnancy result like i did for my first. I was still waiting to have a scan at 7weeks to confirm heartbeat. I feel so empty. You are not going to have another loss. Keep declaring with your mouth. Consult and work with a good gynecologist once you miss your period.

sorry for the loss. God will do another one very fast. At what week did you stop the progesterone for your first baby.

First of all my sympathy. I have been there. As a first time hubby too.. We lost our first preggy but we knew the reason. Wifey went to throw something away and the swinging of the hand caused it.

There is no definite answer for how soon to start trying. Some get preggy again the next month, some wait for three months, it is factor of the woman's body as she needs time to heal abs rebalance. Ours took 6 months. Start the ministry of at the other room as soon as you are ready. Preggy will come.

Finally... Well doc prescribed a drug for my wife immediately the second pregnancy came. Cost 15k or so and she took it for three months. I can't remember the name. When she comes back... I'd ask. According to doc, the drug helps prevent miscarriage .

But above all, reduce wahala during the first three months and if possible have bed rest. Your baby is still like an egg then, so very fragile. Avoid traveling too. We learned this the hard way.

sorry for the loss. God will do another very soon. I had a similar situation in October 2020. I did evacuation at 12 weeks and decided to see a gynecologist , I was placed on some drugs which I took for 1 Month. I conceived immediately after my first menses after evacuation. Am now 6 weeks pregnant but went for scan and was told there is threat. So I was placed on bed rest and progesterone injection twice weekly for 12 weeks. I took the first yesterday. I pray God answers your prayers soon. Start meeting with your hubby as soon as your are healed. Please you all should pray for me . I want to carry this one to full term

Good morning to you all, have been a silent reader , but am here this morning to share my testimony with you all. The lord answered my prayers. I tested positive today after two miscarriages this year. The last one was at 12 weeks, I was meant to be team May in the other thread. But God did it so fast that I conceived immediately after battling with a very high prolactin. I was doing self medications all through those two pregnancy I had this year which led to those miscarriages. But after the second one I decided to go for proper medical treatment with a gynecologist. He prescribed some drugs which I only took for one month after the evacuation and got my BFP this morning.
God that did mine will do yours too in Jesus name. Pray for me to carry this to full term . My first child will be 5 years next year May.

Start immediately. Count the day of the evacuation as the first day of the cycle. This cycle might be longer than your normal cycle. Just bd everyother day

Good morning everyone, Great healer has done it again for me . I had two miscarriages this same year , and exactly a Month after I wrote this here , I tested positive again. I will go back to the Gynecologist because he said immediately I get my postive result, I should run down to the hospital. Pray for me that I will carry this one to full term.
I always log in to this site everyday to read people messages.
I never gave up . Thanks to all for your words of encouragement and prayers the last time .
I will share the good news with my Gynecologist Today.
The lord that did mine will answer all that are TTC in Jesus name. My first Christmas gift from God. Love you all

I think the problem is blighted ovum since u are already 10 weeks gone, so u can just check another scan centre if it still same thing. U go for evacuation immediately no need of staying till another 2 weeks., believe me it happened to me I did evacuation that month took in again dat same months

Good evening to all the pregnant mama, have gone to see a gynecologist , have been given new set of medications that will help to conceive faster. The blood just stop flowing today. Should I allow my body to heal first before the medication or I should start immediately. Those that have miscarried before, how soon did you start to to have sex and start fertility treatment .

Good evening, unfortunately am no longer team may. Just got back from the hospital to do evacuation. Second miscarriage in this year. ��The evacuation pain was so painful.
