@ poster real nice topic, well coming out this way will definitely help you if you sample the opinions well. From my point here I will suggest you try to lay your hands on a book titled WHY YOU ACT THE WAY YOU DO-TIM LAHAYE. and read it.It will really do you good. |
Fellow Nairalanders most of us have heard or watched the TV reality show Big Brother Africa at one time or the other. My grouse with the concept of the programme is what legacies it intends to bequeath the youths and younger one addicted to it.On several occasions we have heard about some really sad news concerning the way contestants behave inhouse, how some contestants are molested and even the message the contestants do send out.Am sure we have not all forgetting the story of our own representative on the show was treatewd sometime ago, currently there is a controversy in Malawi about the conduct of it's participant on the show which as even gotten the attention of the country's president. The truth is that the programme does in a way promote immorality and untoward social behaviour which are not African. So my question to the forum is Should the show be banned, reprogrammed, censored or what do you think is the way forward? |
Am already dreaming of the final before the final Nigeria vs Spain |
Today is first of October, just a day after the new naira notes were released,I have just had my first feel of the 50 naira note on ploymer and having done a thorough look at the note,I fail to find any writing on it in Arabic. So fellow NLs wat was all the fuss about? @ poster i remembered I didn't like the topic of your post cos it was obvious you didn't read the papers then and didn't even listen to the CBN briefings. But you can be forgiven if you say that Sanusi wants his name and signature on a Nigerian currency. |
October 10th - Fellas, The perfect date in the perfect Month. |
I am tempted to reply to this topic, but I will refrain myself from doing so. I just want to remind the poster and all concerned that this marriage called Nigeria cannot last forever if things continue to go the way it is. But another truth is that we will all suffer in the event of a conflict What guarantee will the Hausa man have that even after the canvassed break-up people like IBB will not continue to deceive them? What guarantee will the man from the South-South have that thugs like Tony Anenih will not seize power in a much smaller country for their own use? What is the assurance that a Yoruba man will not be governed by the likes of Adedibu? How about the Igbo man?will he be free from power desperate people like Andy Uba? ETC I think the question that should be on our mind is how to remove and make powerless people like Ibori,Aondokaa,Waziri,Uba,Mangal, obasanjoetc from the polity while encouraging good governance and transperancy like we have all seen in Fashola and Obi Fearless commentators like Shehu Umar People's Advocate like Gani Younger generation of leaders etc (you can add to the list) so that even when the break up occur we can all smile and say that yes the battle was truly successful. Let me remind we all that what we should fight in this country of ours is the evil cabal that is hell bent on keeping power at all cost. A Hausa man and a south-south man will always remain friends (Yaradua and Ibori) as long as they see themselves in that cabal A Yoruba man will always love his corrupt counterpart also from any part of the country as long as their pockets are filled. and the comparison goes on. The real fight is against the clique that wants to perpetuate itself in power at all times, and not against the average northerner or southerner on the streets. The corrupt group that does not care how much the masses are suffering as long as they are celebrated by magazines and tabloid Please young NLs use your time on the internet to create better and constructive topics and not this type of divide and rule threads that is what the elites have been using against us all this while, let us now not be so foolish as to use it against ourselves. |
Everybody in nigeria knows that is what sanusi is upto. When did we as Nigerian agree to arabic . We never did. It is wrong.
i also agree with u there |
If it's true I truly wish more of them will die, maybe then they will come to realize that others also deserve a life. |
When the issue of the new currency got to my hearing I was also skeptical about it's intentions especially when one thinks back by some questioning the removal of the Arabic printing? But having read through all the features of the new/yet to be released notes there's no where where it states that such printing will be back. Now for some of you that don't seem concerned whats printed on your currency?I think we should be, because whatever we have on any of our National Image(s) also speaks about us,and we should also ask ourselves when/if Arabic is an official language anywhere in the country. Please lets not always rush to cast doubts on our policy makers, sometimes we should allow them some leverage. |
The download link for the lost symbol is giving me a virus warning. is it safe for me to go ahead and download it? |
poverty level in the country is very high and unprecedented in the country's history. but i still think that report is flawed,92% is overstating it. |
Good president my ass why don't you ask if he will be a good governor for your state? |
To the very end and without shame I will be loyal to my ethnic group |
True talk Oborozo, but who's to give him the chance to defend himself.do you know how many weeks have passed since this allegations have started flying about?and the guy still has not called any press conference to present his case.I truly believe the allegations and I feel he is just buying time to re-arrange his papers for public verification(if he sees the need for it) |

Myself, Dahiru Mangal and co need Dikko there to do well in business and support you for 2011. Umoru: Did you hear what major Umar and others have said about Dikko's appointment? Now this certificate wahala. Turai: I talked to the marabout early this morning after fajr prayer. They said Saharareporters and co can huff and puff all they like, we dey kampe till 2016 after your 2nd term inshalla ! Umoru: I am going to the office. Turai: You can't go to the office like that, looking like a ghost ! Here let me help you put some makeup on your face and neck. |
What do you mean by promotion interviews, this is Nigeria it's a well known fact that in the civil service, military and paramilitary, etc some people don't even attend in interviews, some do and are not asked anything and yet get promoted. SO PLEASE BELIEVE IT. |
DC you have done a good job here,I did enjoy reading your article. But i still have my doubts. From what I read it looks like you only dissected the problems of only the five banks.(According to Sanusi's gospel)(something we are all familiar with by now) Are they the only banks that are involved in giving out in bad loans? Or is it only their banks that did not follow due process in giving out loans? Are they the only bank execs. whose actions could lead to termination? You made mention of vanguards crap story,as far as I am concerned that story for real until read anything contrary to that. If it's not true then let Sanusi release the audit report of the other banks which have since been concluded according to media reports. or even release the ones he has finished(if they are to be released in parts). once again a very good write up. |
these guys deserve to rot in jails |
Hey for whoever is reading this piece,Osaze has always remained the most committed Eagle anytime he is playing.?femi is good, likewise Adeleye and some very few others who still have the passion for the game in the National team colors. But I think the blame should go to the coaching crew who assembled them in the first place without getting his Tactics right. |
Sanusi!Sanusi!!Sanusi!!! When are we going to hear the last about this man,it sure looks like he's the most hated /talked about Govt. Appointee @ the moment but come to think of it,whether you call it developing cold feet, being cautious with the economy, tribalistic or whatever, one thing was sure from the very beginning of this and that is Sanusi could not and will never be able to sustain the tempo he begun with the sack of the bank execs. Some have said from the beginning that there was an ulterior motive behind his earlier moves and alot of us shouted them down.Since I read that Vanguard's piece about the plot I believed it. SANUSI CANNOT AND WILL NOT SACK ANY BANK EXECS AGAIN.He has dealt with his perceived enemies or maybe I should say his richer colleagues in the business. |
thanks guy for the good works hope to visit your page more often |
She had a pair of legs that can cause car accidents thats a line from a james hadley chase book can't remember the title right now |
Sanusi is no doubt an intelligent Nigerian, one who does not seem to have fear of no one in pursuing his beliefs. But the question I want an answer to how far/positively is this man ready to use his intelligence to advance the nation?cos reading from the above excerpts I still find some gray areas Sanusi has not impressed me @ least relating to his views on religion and peaceful co-existence.I believe someone with his intellect should be able to rise above such parochial views. |
when i first read about this on sahara reporters i knew it was true, but lets not hope for anything on this the people responsible for uplifting/promoting him to that position will just keep quiet and pretend they don't know whats happening hoping for another scandal that will make us forget this. |
Am sure that Oshiomole as a labour leader would have made a lot of noise about this were it to be someone else giving out the gift. Truly it looks like he has derailed from his programs, but i still wish him good luck in his endeavors.we should all pray for his senses. |
Whatever anyone has to say about this man I believe he is a good hearted man who has not joined the bandwagon of rich men in politics @ least openly. A very rich and quiet man in present day Nigeria is a rarity. For his sports sponsorship we are all living witnesses to his works and I pray God continues to bless his business empire.NLders pls lets give this man kudos for dis maybe other pple may also be encouraged to do likewise and lets not forget that this is about the only thing that truly unites Nigerians. tanx for d thread |
Jarus noticed u were online pls how can i start a post and the topic to be displayed on the home page. pls sorry if u r reading dis i know it's not related 2 d topic but i jst need some help. tanx 4 ur understanding |
THAT FRIDAY WHEN THE NEWS ABOUT THE FIVE BANKS BROKE OUT,SOME WERE TOO QUICK TO START POINTING OUT THAT SOLUDO WAS A FAILURE,BUT AS EVENTS UNFOLD CONCERNING THE BANKING SECTOR ONE CAN BEGIN TO QUESTION SANUSI'S MOTIVE TRUE NOT ALL THE BANKS HAVE BEEN AUDITED/INVESTIGATED SO WHY DID HE RUN TO TOWN SCREAMING MURDER (THEREBY GIVING UNDUE ADVANTAGE TO THE OTHERS NOT YET AUDITED) WHY DID HE NOT FOLLOW LAID DOWN PRINCIPLES IN DEBT RECOVERY WHY DIDN'T THE CENTRAL BANK COMPILE A CORRECT LIST OF DEBTORS AND VERIFY IT BEFORE THEIR ADVERTORIAL AND MANY MANY Y's AS EVENTS UNFOLD NIGERIANS MAY COME TO LEARN THAT THIS WAS JUST ANOTHER DIVERSION PLANNED BY SOME ELEMENTS TO KEEP OUR MINDS OFF THE REAL ISSUES AFFECTING US, AND THIS ARE MUCH(ELECTORAL REFORMS,POWER,TRANSPORT,SECURITY,FOOD SECURITY,CORRUPTION ETC) I DOUBT IF SANUSI HAS THE CLOUT TO FIGHT THIS BATTLE (IF IT'S GENUINE)EVEN THOUGH HE CLAIMS THE PRESIDENCY IS BEHIND HIM. THE REPORTER WHO BROKE THAT STORY DESERVES A NIGERIAN PULITZER AWARD,AT THE TIME HE WROTE HIS PIECE I AM SURE HE WOULD HAVE BEEN LABELED AN ALARMIST,BUT FEW MONTHS AFTER WE ARE BEGINNING TO SEE ANOTHER TWIST IN WHAT WAS SEEMINGLY NORMAL.(OR IS HE A PROPHET?) |
I don't think I will agree with the poster because just today I was able to add a friend's Nos. to my F & F list and also confirmed it on the Zain network though,I can't speak for MTN subscribers @ this time. But even for Zain subscribers I still doubt their so called F & F tariffs. To add a number to your F & F list just dial *141*2*080********# |
