Faith is about religion and fable is an untrue story. That is why it is a fable.
For example, Muhammad's existence is not a fable because he actually lived. How he conquered Mecca and his biography are not considered as fables because those were true events.

Bros, you funny die! This isn't about me or what I believe. It's about what Muslims and christians believe concerning their religion.

Muslims believe the story of Solomon in the Quran without a shade of doubt no matter how absurd or ridiculous it sounds to you. To them the words of Allah is always true.

Conversely, Muslims believe the story of a God dieing on a cross, killed by his creations for redemption of their sins, to be ridiculous and therefore unbelievable because Allah never told them such thing happened. But the story of jesus' death is at the very core of the christian faith.

I'm sure if the story you found to be ridiculous in the Quran happened to be in the bible, your attitude to it would be completely different. So without so much fine point to it, the ridiculousness or otherwise of a religious story is dependent on the side of the divide from which it is being examined.

Jesus actually came to the world and died . But to believe his divinity or not is about faith and a personal convictions.

To me , it is the truth and I can testify that he is God and not human .

The case of this Solomon's death for a whole year without his subjects noticing is senseless and ridiculous . Unless they want to claim he was alone in the palace for that whole year without visitations from his wives , children and relatives etc.

To Muslims, the Quran is word of Allah in its entirety and whatever you read therein is eternal truth regardless of your feelings about it. Same way you accept the divinity of Jesus without question, Muslims accepts the words of Allah without question as well.

So you see, when it comes to religion, there's a thin line between fables and faith because what's fable to you in Christianity is faith to Muslims in Islam and vice versa.
