Did SLS say he is not going to do same for other attack victims? If truth must be told, the igbos and Ohaneze goofed by going silent and criticizing every thing around. The ibos are not the only pple affected. When subsidy protest came they complained and whinned while using the fact that some igbos had died in bh attacks b4 subsidy struggle as excuse. Going by that silly logic, no group/person must do anytin against any policy that can indirectly lead to loss of life or what exactly is the Ohaneze saying? SLS has to start some where, if your state or local govt is doing its duty i am sure there won't be any complain here. |
^^^As long as you keep seeing it as "what Igbos want" then you will never see the truth in what we are saying. So now tell me, is Kano the only state that has been ravaged by Boko Haram? What do you have to say about Jos? What about maiduguri? What about the young corpers that lost their lives during the post-election period? So, what did SLS do? Why are they extending this gesture to Kano alone which happens to be his own state. This man has so many times been labeled a bigot and this very action is indicative of one thing, that he is truly a bigot. But it seems that the only problem you have is because its "Ohanaeze" that is questioning and called him out. Yes, thats your problem
Is boko haram attack of kano the first ever? No. When Gej gave 5 million each to the family of april 2011 victims, he did not av to the same for Nov 28, 2008 victims or october 1 victims' family or even any other victim of terrorism. Where was ohaneze then? @bolded part, Ohaneze clearly made an it igbo affair in their statement so i dont know what u r talking about. |
First off, your effort to tribalize this issue shows that you will never see sense in anything thats explained to you. So keep Soludo out of it. Jos has been restive and so many lives were lost, Maiduguri has a very high death record since the Boko Haram mayhem started. Why has your SLS not paid "condolence visit" to any of those states. What has the CBN done to other affected states? Why doing all that now when its happenin in his own state. If you do not know that problem of Nigeria is tribalism and bigotry, which Awo institutionalized in Nigeria politics then you know nothing about Nigeria. What this man did is wrong and should be condemed. If Okonjo Iweala donates 500m to Imo state over the lost of their citizens up there in the North, am sure you will be here crying foul.
The quote below is a good reply for u. If u want to take this to a tribal level . . . fine. texazzpete:For all those condemning SLS for his gesture coming late, what u guys r implicitly saying is that, untill the ibos r satisfied or gives a go ahead no other person/group shld act. Any sane person knows that is cheap blackmailing. What about the other tribes/groups of people that were affected? The Ohaneze pple are not being honest here. |
^^^And what ir wrong if he waits for the heat to come down like it is now b4 going round. Think of a situation where sls gives money out for each attack carried out say at a rate of 1 every 2 weeks, don't u think that would av resulted in most south cities being bombed by now? That will be like a mini-amnesty every 2 or 4 weeks. SLS waited for the heat to go down considerably b4 acting. If Ohaneze ham made all these noise for SE governors by now there would av been no noise at all. |
Stop displaying your ignorance everywhere. Try and think out of your bigot life for once. If the governors did not give money to the victims, then thats another kettle of fish. The question here is, given the diversified nature of Nigeria, is CBN supposed to dole out money to a particular state as charity? Dont you know SLS is from Kano? Why not extend the same gesture to other states that has been war ridden. Honestly you do not need a PHD in Understanding to know that it is not about the governors, but doing what is right. With people like you in Nigeria who do not question certain things, then i pity for the future of that country
when High _chief thinks like this then it is not hard to see why Nigeria is where it is today. The article says "while paying kano stata a condolence visit". What makes u think he is not going to visit other states. Could it be that the Igbos are pained that Soludo, their son, is no longer the CBN governor? Even the fact that the grieviances shown in Page 1 of this thread is quite different from that of Page 2 says alot. If there is not a single ibo victim in the kano state attack or SLS does not visit any other state then SLS can be said to be wrong outrightly, however the man never said he is not visiting other states. If our ibo groups/pple keep expecting everyone to follow their unpopular actions on issues like this then they are in for a 'long thing'. That siddon-look and blackmailing-whoever -act approach will not work this time just like in subsidy protest. Let ohaneze go wake up and be proactive like other groups. |
How much has the Igbo governors in the east donated from their security vote? Ohaneze is talking trash here. As long as the ibo victims benefit and SLS does not break any CBN rule he is good to go on this one. When Rochas went to kano empty handed and Anambra gave out money to ibos only no silly group or person came out to say nada, i wonder where all this is coming from now. |
The incident occured long time ago. i first heard of it sometimes back. Date on article say 1998. |
victorazy:whenever the igbos stand up, they always stand against the right thing or for the wrong thing. The money donated was never for a particular tribe, it is suppose to go round. |
Ohaneze will always behave like cry babies. They seem incapable of taking reasonable actions and will rather wait to criticize anyone who dares to act. The same sidon-look attitude b4 the subsidy protest and condemnation of those who dared to act is what is being repeated here again. If only two or three eastern governor had deeped their hands into their limitless security vote for the victims maybe we wouldn't be having all these elderly cries. Besides igbo are not the one affected, there are yorubas, hausas, fulanis and other group in kano that got bombed. |
Aigbofa:leave Oga Nchara alone, that guy is a case. We all know the main grudge of our ever-offensive Nl tribe against a victimised yoruba. If only this kind of emotion will be channelled to the northerners BH will be history by now. I dont see how Negro's post merits the kinda reply Nchara is dishing out. |
jamace:cos they r only interested in selling the masses a dummy. They know who the politicians r already, or how do u explain the fact that sokoto was arrested in Borno state goveqnor's lodge twice. |
anonimi:Oga anonimi, i dont know if u av been to Bowen of recent but the last time i visited i used the road from ikire junction ( along ibdan - ife road) to Iwo town via Gbangan. I can confirm that the Iwo-Gbangan-Ikire road has been repaired. I know this because i av used this road countless times b4. I never said RAMP was constructing roads in bowen, any1 who has been to bowen coming in from Ibadan will know exactly what i am talking about because that is the safest route that links bowen to Ibadan right now, there are other roads within the town also. |
ssa junior:First of all most of the names u mentioned didn't av the option of private schools as there were hardly any in their time. Secondly, various private school differ from one another in standard, just like their public counterparts. Most of the pple u listed up there were actually brought up by rich parents in their locality. In my opinion private schools from secondary school level up carries the day overall. Most public schools are riding on their past glory. In the past two months alone we had Britain put medical dept in 9 nigerian public sch on their black list, the Esut saga yesterday, strike issues, even the only real diff between both set of schs which is their fee is gradually fading away. The privates schools are definitely ahead right now. |
Isn't it suppose to be selling for N50 normally. What is the 'how' of this employement scheme? |
This thread is a classic one. . . Chai. But Oga Rhino.dm5 u no try for that 'igbo' nigga for beginning of this page oh. . . Baby for 30k and puppy for 45k. . . Lol . . . Which one man go come choose now? Baby or dog. |
Is this thread for real? An igbo man is killed in his land and all his people can do is go on a looting spree to enrich themselves. Now i see why the hausas/fulanis like to use the igbos as collateral damage while sparing their material things. |
They killed a local in onitsha and all the people of onitsha could do was loot in return. Outa the abundance of their heart they decided to rob instead of going for justice. When subsidy yawa comes now they will tell u they are rich and all that. SMH. . . |
If only there will be true mutual respect in Nl then there will be peace. The way some group of users in this forum see every thread from an ethnic angle is not helping at all. This thread is a typical example of the avarage Nl thread (politics section) nowadays. |
bashr8:i dont see anything bad in what Op has done, like alj harem pointed out, he is nursing presidential ambition, and it is never too early to start scrutinizing our 'future' presidents. |
It is only a matter of time b4 NLders realize that Gej has one himself. Something tells me he is on NL already. . . . .b*** !!!. . . . I hail your resilience oh. . . . .lol |
he is subtly telling his detractors that, though he is tired of the bombings he is not giving up on his mandate. If i was in his shoes i wouldn't give up too but there are better ways to say ur mind without much emotional and psychological causing trauma to the victims. Go on GEJ go on. |
This is what must of our public schools av become. ESUT has done the right thing as far as i am concerned and are on the right track. that 400+ guanine students denied admission during the exercise few years back. |
@musiwa, i will go with Goodman_n's arguement. He is more correct than you r, what we need in Nigeria is not a total division but an opportunity to express ourselves. Think of a Nigeria with three or four main region that shares certain things like defence and currency in common. That will make our defence and economy stronger and more robust. No external force will want to go to war with the whole Nigeria. And there will basis for a healthy competition among the regions. Plus a break up will be easier if anyone ever decide on it. Poverty has made lots of Nigerians believe ethnic difference is the cause of our problem. Our current state system is too weak and small. |
^^pls what part of yenagoa? all through my time there i did'nt come accross anywhere as clean or developed as enerhe junction in warri/effurun. Comparing lagos to bayelsa while using delta and rivers as proxy is highly laughable Oga beaf. Even bauchi town, the capital of Bauchi state is far better in infrastructure than your beloved Bayelsa. Yenogoa is only popular because its the capital of Bayelsa. Comparing bayelsa to the Oshogbo i know is another big joke Oga beaf. |
Oga beaf can u pls do a comparison between Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa state. They both recieve approximately the same allocation from Big brother Nigeria, even though bayelsa does not have as much land mass or population as A.Ibom, A.ibom has done alot including ur pictures up there, while top bayelsan is are still sharing contracts and travelling to dubai with their own allocation. I think if u can channel ur energy towards the ND the way u r doing for Osun here there will be no need for beggarly parasites to pick up arm and fight their host for amnesty awuf in the creeks of ND. |
I honestly don't think we need pictures, i visited bowen few weeks back and i can attest to the fact that lots of new roads av been constructed. U can easily tell they are newly constructed road mostly in the rural areas. |
