@beaf and fellow Nairalanders. I think this is the reason why we have a 43:57 sharing formula between oil companies and the Nigerian govt. The North is totally incharge and they have allies far beyond our imagination and comprehension. The Official language within Nigeria's elite is 'Oil Money' and it is clear why people steal billions with no remorse. Same for the glue holding us together. . . It is 'oil money', nothing more. |
alj harem:Once again, thanks for the info. I challenged the OP to provide some pictures but he couldn't do that, not even through any of his numerous IDs. In summary every region has its own problem. |
@Alj harem, thanks so much. These Yoruba-hating-IDs keep showing up everywhere. . . .but don't forget in the west, the level of hate u command is anoda way of guaging ur success.
@sheguy, please if you don't know what to say, just ignore the op, by the way,am from Awkaibom, and i school if OAU ile ife.i understand where is the OP is coming from.before i came to the west for the first time.i always had this believe that the west was like london, was this and that.but schooling in ife have given me the opportunity to explore the SW and also a better view of what the SW is.for real the south west is dead.like the op said, the only city they have is lagos .the rest are dirty, filthy and empty.thanks to the non indigenes that are doing business here in ife.All the big boutiques, spear part store, cosmetic store and other commercial activities are dominated by the igbos.if you come to largere and mayfair which is the heart of ile ife you will think you are in the eastern part of the country. talk of infrastructure, light here is dead,no good house all the houses are ancient, dirty and ugly.all you see on the streets are Unclad mad people walk on the streets.the only place that is ok in ile ife is OAU quarters which is like a GRA and owned by the university where all most of the university staff live.infact without the university,if is a village cos it is the university that drives town itself. ilesha ede, owo, ikirun, gbongan, they are all villages(local settlements).oshogbo as a state capital is nothing to write home about.i was disappointed when i first when there.so dirty and wreathed. i don't know much about Ibadan cos i have not gone inside the city like that but i know Ibadan has some nice places but it cannot compare to cities in the eastern part like portharcourt, owerri, calabar, enugu, asaba or even benin. what annoys me most is that is the way they brag and tend to tell us that we come to there place because our places are villages and that is annoying.infact i and some ibo friends of mine have once argue with some yoruba folks when we where doing pre-degree in OAU and it almost led to a fight. the only thing the SW has more than any region is the concentration of universities.(OAU,IBADAN,UNILAG,UNIILORIN) and that is all.most of what they have are federal institutions than any other region.that is why they were crying during the subsidy time cos they are used to being fed(Lazy parasite that cant cater for themselves without the federal government). well that is their business anyway.they are quick to notice ones unclothedness but refuse to see that they are not just Unclad but also phuck and smelling and my understanding of their problem is that they don't go out and that is their biggest problem which has made them myopic.they believe Lagos is the beginning and ending of Nigeria.that is why they will be the biggest loser if Nigeria breaks up cos Lagos will loose its mega city status and cities like portharcourt, uyo and calabar and the rest with seaport will catch up cos i know the igbos will fluck there to do business.
u don't sound like someone who has been to osun state b4, if u av been there then u will be quick to observe that their basic needs in most small towns are there. Light, water, cheap food, GSM, and good schools. The big cities of the South u mentioned are not as confortable as those town i listed. Take a place like warri for example, there is no tap water from the govt, the gutters don't flow, and some of the people live worse than the fantasy the OP narated to us. When i say warri, i mean core-warri areas like Enerhe, Udu, and Iyara. As for your claim that the SW only have schools and u linking those schools to Oil money, the bests schools in SW (and by extension Nigeria) were built with cocoa money. Osun state i know is not blessed with industries and factories, i see no biggie in that anyway. |
ojeycombo:If you are actually a graduate of ABU, we might not be interested at your offer. Your sense of reasoning speaks for the kind of products you guyz produce.Which ABU r u talkin abt? Is it not the same ABU (Amadu bello u) where a lecturer was busted for lifting phd thesis from the net? |
I find it hard to believe that this thread was opened by an Ijaw person, because if we were to examine the most Ijaw dominated state which is bayelsa state, what we would discover will be just as shocking, if not more, than that of Osun state. I know of communities in Delta that suffer these thing too. What the OP failed to tell us is the context of what he claimed he witnessed. |
I can't even tell, what the thread is about again. |
The OP must be an Anti-Igbo person, he mentioned just one problem for the North, South, but gave many problems facing the east. One way u can make people take u serious is by giving us pictures to substantiate ur claims. Those who av been to Osun know there are decent settlements like Ejigbo, Iwo, Ikire, Ede, Ikirun, Ife, Gbangan, Awo, feesu, Ilesha, esa oke and many more in the state. When i say 'decent settlements', i mean with light, water, road, flowing gutters, and GSM coverage at least. |
Anyone can claim to be a christian. With our SSS taken over by BH, it could well be BH who are behind this whole 'arangee' thing. Christian ko christian ni. |
In Odili's dream 'Ojukwu Fought For 13% Derivation' whereas in reality O' only fought for 100%/0% derivation depending on how u see it. . . . Lol |
Abeg FREE the man jooor! Owelle Anayo Rochas is one of the BEST governors in Nigeria. [s][/s] Very pathetic hatchet job to crucify this great achiever. Only pigs throws mud on the roses.
I undestand ur position, even the devil himself has loyal supporter who knows his ultimate goal. |
@edo.girl, thanks for shedding more light on the issue at hand. I made my assumptions based on Akoko Edo indigenes i know of. |
sheyguy: Beaf:i brought back my initial comment where i asked about the yorubas in edo state for all to see. Notice where i said they are 'practically yorubas' and should be allowed to decide where they want to be. I never said they should be anywhere(Edo or Ondo). They know who they want to be with in their heart, nothing u spin here will change that hard fact. U shld be more concerned about ur oil wells drying up in delta and how to utilize the fund u r still getting from them while they are still there and not annexing ondo state from them. |
Beaf:I wovld av loved to ignore ur ignorant post but i am going to do u a small favor by educating you. Majority Nigerians also do bear names from their tribe/ethnic group. That still remain the most common means of identifying people with their ethnic groups in a society like ours where most folks no longer wear their traditional attire, if one most still make a guess. The bold part of ur daft comment is the most irritating of all. When i asked about yoruba speaking community in Edo state that does not imply that there are no non-yoruba speaking communities in Ondo state. . .get it dafty and stop being so 'beaf' on a saturday. |
Beaf:i asked about Ore because they av some natural resource that is worth being annexed and can be annexed too. Akoko Edo people i know all bear deep Yoruba names and rep Yoruba. What i am saying is every ethnic group shld deptermine its own destiny, instead of all these disgraceful fighting |
Beaf:Oga beaf, how does Gej bullying Chevron on behalf of an Itsekiri community changes what is right or wrong? Chevron's property remains Chevron's property. In the Chevron case, i was actually expecting Gej and our Govt to offer to buy Chevron's excess energy in order to encourage them into building more capacity to support our national grid. But none of the above justifies u tribalizing issues here. Ur divide and Conquer won't work here because the Itsekiri have been fought unjustly over their land by every sizable ethnic group around them. |
Is Ore also Edo state land. What about places like Akoko Edo L.G.A. Where they are practically Yorubas. I think it is time we use a referendum or something like that so the people can choose where they want to be. Our democracy shld permit such. Let the states do some wooing too. |
chosen04:In the case of salary u used above, u earn what u get for ur labour under predefined conditions (condition of service) actually, but the predefined conditions governing the crude deposits of Nigeria only gives 13% back to states, it does not give criminals disquising as MEND the right to kill, extort, kidnap, and blackmail foreign oil company workers. If they are truly fighting for the people of ND, why accept amnesty when oil spillage is still rampant in the ND? Why not fight for proper use of 13% derivation? Ur logic above is 'highly' faulty if not totally null. The ND can scream for all they want, the truth is the ND leaders are just as guilty as their Northern counterparts. They av always used northern president we have had in the past to blackmail the north, but as we all can see they are running out of excuse now. OBJ and Yar' adua gave u guys NDDC, 13%, Amnesty, NDDC Ministry and a SS president. There is no excuse for the ND again. Get to work p |
Is a thread like this not suppose to be in the Romance section? Or home economics section, if there is any. |
Oga Nchara pls relate oduasolja's post to ur lame threat or better still relate with oduasolja's post. Ur wuru wuru refence say 3 out of 5 mental cases and not out of all ondo youths. Why not show us that of ur beloved home country. |
@Gbawe, don't mind the guy, i just read through the thread he referred ekt_bear to and the Original post of that thread actually said 3 out of 5 mental cases are linked to drugs (MJ) and not 80% of all their youths as the hate inspired OP has claimed. If u study his arguments properly u will see he is shifting ground unconsiously like the confused thing he his. From Ondo state produce to Ondo state consumes to 80% of youths in Ondo state are on drugs. |
Alxmyr:Pls open ur eyes wide and comprehend my amatuer english bera . . .abeg. |
Nchara:Stop deluding urself, Gej was saying things to get support then. He was relying on rigging and ACN to deliver the SW to him then. Can he say the same again? Never. With Dora in very much in the scheme of things then Anambrans foolishly saw Gej as a president that would favour them, but u & i know the story today. |
^^^ ^^^The idea of the thread is a baseless one, i knew they would result to denying the obvious and start framing up stats. Just imagine 80% of ondo youth falling sick cos of MJ. Next thing u know they would tell all the doctors in ondo are Igbo doctors. . . . |
Just now, just now . . . Three comments done show. . . Lol i am just saying marijuana is not a bad thing, it has positive uses as well. By the way, why are u shifting ur argument to marijuana consumption in ondo from marijuana production, Nchara? |
They av brains also, it is hard to go through any higher instution of learning in Nigeria without being lectured by a handful of ondo state academicians. Can ur state boast of that Nchara? Quit it. Ondo state is no work over. Before u start feeling too fly, u shld know IH is used for medicine ( medical marijuana) also, that fact that Marijuana abuse is common does not make it a totally bad substance. Don't forget cough syrup is also being abused, now that does not make cough syrub a bad thing. |
Nchara:u mean fake goods? |
GEJ shld stop carrying himself like a conman, there are other more pressing needs as far as science education and research are concerned. |
^^Proven potential |
^^ potential not yet realized aint shiit. |
Re: Ondo State Alone Produce More Resources Than All The South East States Combined ? FACT |
Aren't u a great Nigeria student? U shld know how things are done now? . . . . Or u wan form say u no know the levels. |
