@ wanajo, why is evry1 going crazy over oceanic right now, its doing 31naira today, whats all the fuss about ![]() ?/ |
temmie10, they failed to factor in the shares in the p.o for 2007, they are already telling you these shares aint gonna be listed till 2008. 10 naira by year end 2009 is more like it |
hell noooooooooooooo |
best coach in terms of what in terms of football tactics and success, its otmar hitzfeld, in terms of economic prudence and long term management, its arsene wenger.but to me, the best coach is " SAMSON SIASIA" ![]() |
@ easimoni, temmie10 and wanajo, i've been paying much attention to a stock no one seems to talk about-ETI. maybe its the price tag that puts people off but in all honesty its actually the cheapest banking stock out there. current pe of 18, projected pe of 15. forecast eps of 11.5. however, i wont attach a pe of 26-28 based on its low growth rate, more like a 22-24. anyway it should be easily a 260 naira stock. and only a billion shares so bonus issue is very likely. i dont know why its been on suspension for such a long time though. |
@ easimoni, do you know anything about costain? i hear they just posted a good Q1 result, and people seem to be raving about the stock. please help with any info u have. thanks ![]() |
@ roughcut, how did u get 10-12 naira by december 2008 its eps will be 0.3, that means it should be 9 naira at a pe of 30 thats been a bit on the optimistic side dont u think its a good growth stock and more of a long term buy. but 10 naira i think is high. |
tmoni, whats the hot news about oceanic cos it just hit 30 and it hasnt done that in a while. pls let us know. happy independence day to all of nairaland. ![]() goodnight |
tmoni, i am a bit worried bout dang.sugar hitting 34 naira myself, what i would advise is to wait and see, 34 is not a very good entry price, 31 is just right. with fcmb and afribank offers coming out in the next two weeks, it might depress the market just a bit further, i would wait and see. |
Panadol:all are solid. skye and diamond asre your safest bets but wema is your trump card. you will make more out of wema than any other one on that list. |
easimoni:was wondering why you asked that gentleman the other day if he was in houston ![]() good for you. but come back soon sha ![]() |
easimoni:its ridiculous, what is gonna be the drastic increase, ![]() ![]() that was the same problem i had with dangote flour(from 0.42to 1.6) but i have no other choice but to work with these figures cos thats what we are given.fidelity is definetely a no go, maybe from the floor if it drops but not the po. |
the TS of ibtc chartered bank was lifted today, bet you its going straight to at least 18 naira ![]() |
the market has made a small comeback today, and dang.sugar has gained again. hope i dont miss out on it cos i dont have any yet |
Nevada:where did u get that from they havent done allotment so dont expect that certificate anytime soon. |
tommy t:it is not advisable to enter the stock market to make cash in like 2-3 months, a good 1 year is needed for sound ROI. howvwe, if u must , go for dangote sugar ,skye bank or oceanic, if ure lucky ull make 15% on any of those. |

crazy t, bbking1 is right!! though i think 70 is quite optimistic. a price in the mid fifties should be more like it unless they give a bonus. so hold on to this one. |
@ poster, u really try ooo. this is the most pointless topic on nairaland. i think seun just putthis on the board so evry1 can marvel at u. u r a record breaker ![]() |
it will be very difficult for me. even thogh i might love her, that thought of her banging sme1 wont leave my head |
so u wan tell me say they no dey flash for jand?? and yankee?? they just gave africa a big diss ![]() |
all you manutd. haters, dont look too much into the coventry loss, fergie dont give a s :-Xt bout the carling cup. big up to the boys in red ![]() |
from the fidelity prospectus, it looks quite good when looking at its projected eps, 0.49 in 2008 could be 13 naira by then.however, they are trading at a current pe of 40 and its been offered at a pe of 30. so i think the price of 8 naira is still a bit high. i see no reason why u shouldnt be able to get fidelity at close to 9 naira when the ts is lifted cos there has been nothing to write home about their earnings so far. but not a bad offer though. looks promising for the future |
@ yudiyokun, i have not received my certificate either, they have not even done the allotment so dont expect tit till january ![]() |
@ easimoni, i agree with the notion that dangote sugar should run back to 40 bucks when the bulls run, but whats your take on this stock for the long term, what are theirr projections like? do u think its a solid one for the long term ? and also, do u know any website where i can get the prospectus of their p.o last year cos that should give me a clearer picture.thanks. |
@ wanajo, from their Q1 reults, WAPCO looks like doing an eps of 3.8-4 naira, so it should hit at least 80 naira i guess. also, its pe ratio is by far the lowest in the building sector. there was a rumor of bonus last year and i hear its very probable this year. although they have 3billion+ shares. thats why i think its quite good. |
dangote sugar looks like the juiciest buy for short term right now. another bearish day i see. i hope dang. sugar goes down a bit more. |
@ wanajo, i agree with your caution in the insurance sector but you cannot deny that the insurance sector is where the next gold mine is. and the fact that crusader, wapic and mbenefits are the leaders in that sector means they will do well if not now, later on and there is nothing wrong in taking position now. but like you said, it all depends on the investors goals. thanks for your advice on flour mills, do u think wapco is as solid? |
@ wanajo, i remember u posting a few weeks back that banks should be half of an investors portfolio cos of their over 50% growth rate. now, u say they are no good buys in the banking sector right now. ![]() |
Temmie10:u hit the nail right on the brain. timing is very important, which is why my james bond questions have been coming in of recent ![]() |
today was a very very bearish day. almost all blue chips lost. all banks lost. incredible day. |
