your story is really interesting, i just started trading in march, like you when you first started i just bought anything, just managed to recover recently thanks to this thread, i have learnt so much on stocks and i am always grateful to men like you, and the main the main easimoni for your help.
what worries me is for someone like me who just started and is trying to build a portfolio, will the market be as god as it has been in 7 years time. i remember as a kid(which was practically 7 years ago) seeing guiness at 10 naira and banks at 1 naira, can our market continue to grow at this rate so sme1 like me can hit a billion someday? thats what worries me greatly. what do you think of this.

FCMBs prospectus factored in the possible oversubscription(25%) and it gave an eps of 0.96. 25 naira is still a possibility and thats 50% appreciation. they are on course to hit the 15bn pat cos they make majolrly in last quarter

@ pumping777, one important thing u ned to know about dang.sugar is it will always attract market sentiment, it has a forward pe of 14 and it can easily have a pe of 20. the fundamentals support it. 27 naira wont be bad by march. i have good views of this coy.

@ stanchuks, BETA GLASS has good fundamentals, a forward pe of 9 is the best u can get right now. i couldnt get any today as well but still hoping sha.
it should hit 20 naira by march next year.

@ wanajo , would you advise entering FCMB from the floor. at 17.45, one can actually get 50% appreciation from the stock, with a forecast eps of 0.96(assuming oversubscription) it can get to 25 quite smoothly. whats your take on that cos there dont seem to be any juicy offers at the moment.

@ pumping777, got diamond today at 19.10. still couldnt get BETA GLASS but i thank God it lost today. my prayer now is on access coming down. diamond and betaglass, dangote sugar are all my darlings, after that, i aint buying nothing till christmas.

@ wanajo, by the way i just opened an account with AFRINVEST. they seem okay but there seems to be no contact with custmers. everything is done by e-mail and they send weekly recommendations, its kinda cold isnt it if theres no contact

@ wanajo, thanks for the reply. i know crusader will come good by next year but with all the unknown figures for now, id rather take a cool position in access, diamond or dangote sugar where i can accurately ascertain figures and hence fundamentals.

with the diamond gdr offer, do you still think diamond will be good to enter now, it will add almost 4 billion shares which will bring their eps down to 0.8 or 0.9. also, look at gtb, do u think the gdr will affect diamond that way i.e limited price appreciation as a result of the gdrs on lse been unable to move at par with the listed shares on nse

@ pumping777, if ure out there, i was unable to get beta glass today and it has entered 14 naira. will try to get in under 14.5 if i can.

@ toybanj, access is expensive at 20. im hoping it will bleed and lose some fat tomorrow

@ easimoni, thats what i wanted to talk to you privately about. im not sure you saw my post, crusader is rumored to have paid heavy cash for one of the airlines that crashed last year, they were just forced to pay recently. just found out today and not sure if its true, im out tomorrow men.

@ pumping777, good point on insurance coys but at 6 naira, crusader will have a forward pe of 16. results are not expected till march.
dangsugar currently has forward pe of 13.5, beta glass is 10, longman is 12. so u can see there will be better buys.

@ pumping777, i have not entered beta glass yet, its not liquid and thats my problem, i wish to enter access and will hope to enter beta glass ASAP. if crusader hits 6, i am selling, there is no fundamental attahment to this movement northward.
ur eps for dang sugar looks accurate but i am of the view that they hi most profit in Q4 so that 2.65 might be just right( i pray so). the moment i enter beta glass i will let u know/

what is your forecast eps for dangote sugar. ibtc puts at 2.65, so at a pe of 17-18, it should be at least 45naira, whats ur eps cos i need to compare. this is the only stock i have been able to enter so far.

harrisoft, let me advice from personal experience.i started trading five months ago, i bought mutual benefits at 3 naira, unity at 6naira and i sold both within three weeks for 60% profit, in all excitement, i went to get stocks with no fundamentals but just cos they were low, i lost more than 60%. the point is, if u want to sell now, good but dont get carried away and always read fundamentals before jumoing into any stock
