Politics › Re: The Dilemma Of Minorities In The Unity Of Nigeria by shineeye1(op): 9:42pm On Apr 03, 2016
psucc:
Then I have the big poser:
What is actually special that we are ready to erase a whole ethnic group(s) than to let Nigeria split as other nations?

And why will our leader support or recognized the sovereignty of other nations that splits but will not allow Nigeria to split?
To answer your question, the only special thing in this case is the grand agenda to ensure that the minorities are certified totally milked of whatever real or imagined fortune they possess before accepting dissolution of the unholy matrimony. Like people say, the only limit to the oppression of the oppressor is the endurance of the oppressed!
Politics › The Dilemma Of Minorities In The Unity Of Nigeria by shineeye1(op): 6:56pm On Apr 03, 2016
The equation of Nigeria's unity remains heavily unbalanced in the face of glaring ethnic inequalities and inequities. This highly unbalanced equation of nationhood accounts for the re-occurring restiveness among ethnic nationalities. The nation was designed and is still existing on the vested interest of the big three- Yoruba, Hausa and Ibo. Even among the big three, due to the unwritten ancient unholy alliance between the Yoruba and Hausa, the Ibo has since decried their disadvantages and their loud cry persist up to this very day. If the big Ibo can suffer in a lopsided nationhood, you can better imagine the plight of the smaller minorities! The nation has been built and the fullness thereof for the comfort and convenience of the big brothers at the expenses of the smaller ones. The minority is practically a second class citizen in a supposed fatherland. He is oppressed and yet repressed from uttering a protest. Their plight is further complicated by the epic betrayal and sell-out of their very own self seeking ethnic leaders. Can this definition of nationhood pass the severe test of time and posterity? The unwritten code of conspiracy by the majorities is ever alive to make a mess of the best performance of a minority just as they display shameless solidarity for even the worst performance of a their fellow majority. Whither Nigeria? Untill and unless there is justice and genuine equity with no more discrimination among citizens of this nation, there remains a natural proclivity for another civil war.

"In separate reactions to the journalists, an angry Lt Oworobo had described them as idiots and madmen, allegedly saying: “You’re an idiot. You’re a mad man. Why are you calling me? So I should report to you abi? Who are you to call me? If you ever call me in your life, I’ll deal mercilessly with you.”

Why do MAD MEN easily call sane men madhuh This apparently mad man in state uniform believes because he is a soldier, he is not answerable or accountable to society. What a raving mad man! As long as he is in the delta, hot bullets would make him sober, sooner than later.

Make no mistakes, no singular or collective rascals , no matter how rascally can overcome the determined will of the sane larger society. There is no devil big in hell that is strong enough to destroy the force of good. Light will ultimately prevail over darkness however tense, fierce and long the duel may last. The law will never submit to lawlessness

Some spineless folks want peace so badly, they don't mind surrendering to the lawless in order to obtain their brand of peace. Those are cowards who die many times before their death. Look here, real men die but once! We must tacle and resist lawlessness with the last drop of our blood and bequeath a better future to posterity. Tompolo or whatever tin god from whatever enclave must submit himself to the extant rule of law. That rule must be defended at whatever cost. Impunity is the sure route to anarchy in the land.

Im a straight person and i fvcking love women,

but,

two adults claim that they love themselves and you arrest them and put them in a cell for 14 solid years of their lives. why?

people are jailed for commiting crimes against humanity such are rape terrorism fraud murder etc.....
why jail people because they 'claim' they love themselves?

And for the religious folks ive not seen in any relgious book where it is written that mrA's chances of making 'heaven' is dependent on mrB's livestyle.

The simple truth is that their marriage doesnt affect your life in anyway imaginable!. why jail them?
Yeah, your argument holds water---like a wide open basket! By same reasoning, sane people should Never be perturbed by rising bestiality around their community! They should Never worry when prostitution multiply! How vain! Perhaps their indifférence would shield them when the health and collateral implications are unleashed upon society.

What is all This " do me, i do You" over illicit sex? Has This génération lost every residual sense of moral propriety? Have we forgotten That we are mère tenants in the body we occupy? That the owner has rules of tenancy? Have we become so brazen in waywardness?Except we amend our ways- we shall undoubtedly perish with the rest!

Are we in for a perpetual seesaw game with boko haram? Why have all the villages in the troubled regions not been manned by armed battalions permanently? What are all our idle barracks nationwide doing when There is fire on the mountain? We should not be hearing of any quiet village being taken unaware at This stage.

bobolizim:
Dear Bunmi,

I’ve been married to my husband for over 20 years and
we have four lovely children. He’s always had series of
affairs that I’ve lost count. I’ve stopped talking to him
about them and when friends did, he told them smugly
that he must be doing something right or I would have
left.

He says his affairs are really for the sex and he would
never leave me for another woman. Big deal!

I’m quite an attractive woman myself and still wear a
size 14 dress. I have a good job and dress well and
recently I started looking at other men the way my
husband might look at other women and wondered
what it would be like to have sex with them. You know
what?

My husband was right, you can have good sex without
getting emotionally involved as I’ve since found out. I
don’t know if he suspects anything, but lately he’s
been showing signs of being jealous, why should he
have all the fun?

Your home has Just one big problem. And while There was hope That you would be the saviour, You doubled the trouble of your home. How pathetic! You know not what You do!

Strictly speaking, marriage is a "temporal" contract. Every woman has a full life , independent of that husband, before and after marriage. Marriage is till death. After death, the man has no say in her life. Some men behave as though the wife is their eternal property. As a man, you have a golden opportunity to treat a fellow human right while the "contract" lasts. That saintly ex of the wife is deserving of all the emotion that woman has for him. The best way for the husband to deal with that is match the quality or even exceed it. Not resort to envy and insecurity. Thanks to God, the wife is even a committed faithful woman.

Let the north reflect soberly on how and why the boko evil has befallen them. Let them take a moment off from the noise of accusations and counter accusations. If this evil wind in the north persist, it will not be long before the north becomes a desolated wilderness where poverty is served for breakfast, scarcity for lunch and drought for dinner. The macabre drama playing out in the north is the undeniable dismal report card for a fatal failure in leadership at all levels there characterised by deceit, hypocrisy and diabolical arrogance

It is highly doubtful if these Shiite people are as peaceful and law abiding as some theorists here would prefer we believe. Footages of the sad event suggests otherwise. The propaganda of fact distortion and mutilation will never move people forward. The Nigeria army are not likely to be mad people for crying out loud. They cannot be intimidated into submission by any form of concocted propaganda. Whoever undermines legitimate authority under whatever guise must be made to feel sorry for it. That is the sole response to impunity and reinstatement of societal sanity. Any other option is a subtle drift towards anarchy.

The real target of most religious zealots is political power. They crave control of society under the cloak of religion. Unfortunately, the corrupt political class condone their excesses in the hope of patronage. Before long, they begin to get more than they bargained for - but it is too late. A parallel government has been formed. This silly sinister circle continues to play out mostly in the north at grave cost to national life and security. The little devil you tolerate today is the principality you must contend with tomorrow!

Complete Sense! Please waste no time about that! It is policy smart to convert those gallant wartime volunteers to state use before unemployment forces them to deploy their competences otherwise.
