@Kasiem. I can see you are an agent of the bourgeois and your intentions are not only satanic but utterly luciferian. You do not mean well and your clandestine and nefarious activities will soon be exposed. You attitude is perilous and you stand the risk of evaporating with your wicked intentions. BB for change.

@odunnu
Thanks. Students are too quick to draw the blame card.
My NGO works with recent graduates to better their chances of landing josb in the ever volatile job market.
Sad to see graduates who cannot string a CV together.

We offered free CV help and Interview techniques training via a post in the education section. Only two people responded.
Quite a number of students / graduates these days are "bum" lazy. Excuse my French

Education / Online Mentoring And Finishing School by Shinor(m): 6:37pm On Dec 25, 2010
The Greenhorn Foundation is a charity operating from it's base in the United Kingdom with a particular focus on reaching young people all over Africa with a particular bias for Nigeria being the continent's most populous nation.
The foundation was set up in 2010 as a response to the lack of opportunities for the young graduates across Africa to receive proper career guidance and counselling and the necessary skills to make them marketable upon graduation and to prepare them for life after school.
What this situation has brought about is mass of unskilled graduates roaming African cities armed with pieces of paper which most employers simply term worthless.

To stem the tide, The Greenhorn Foundation came into being to mentor, and train students, recent graduates and young people all over Africa with the sole desire of helping them make the right choices and commitment with regards to choosing a career and getting groomed and ready for life after graduation.
We strongly believe in the saying that the youths are future leaders and we believe that by investing in them today, we are empowering the future.

From time to time, we will be carrying out a series of programmes on line designed for our target audience.

In the new year, we will be looking at topics such as CV writing, Interview Techniques, and some basic Customer Service training. We have some very seasoned professionals working with us who have prepared a lot of the materials we would be using for these training.

Mentorship.
The aim of our mentorship programme is to help young people organize their lifestyle with a view to maximizing their God given talents and potentials.
In the new year, we will open our doors to new people who would like to come under our mentorship programme.

If this initiative interests you, please feel free to contact us stating your name, age, qualification and email greenhorn.foundation@gmail.com.
In order to reach more people and keep our costs low, nearly all our contact and training will be done on line. And all our programmes on line are absolutely free.

If you like this, spread the word amongst your friends, family members.

Thank You.

GREENHORN FOUNDATION IS NOT A RECRUITMENT AGENCY AND THEREFORE DO NOT MAKE JOB OFFERS.

Shooting Stars should do well. Kano Pillars have a reputation that they hardly loose at home. Lets see Shooting put that to the test.
I can see only 4 or 5 people have commented.
If it's Arse or Manure, they thread would have been invaded by armchair pundits and self appointed authoritative analysts.

Politics / Re: Say No To 'NAIJA' - Akunyili by Shinor(m): 2:57pm On Nov 17, 2010
Naija as a term reffering to Nigeria, was adopted by the youths of this country to show their undying love for their fatherland and their unwavering belief in it's eventual emergence as the true leader that she is.
The same youths are the driving force of any nation - the real power block.
Maybe that power needs to be unleashed by starting a campaign to remove Dora Akinwahatever as a Minister. This country deserves better.
Dora Must Go,

Sports / Re: 10 To Watch In Nigerian Premier League This Season by Shinor(m): 11:14am On Nov 03, 2010
Thanks honeric01.
Been waiting for such news. Its about time we started to talk about our own.
We don't have to wait for the big newspapers/ TV channels. We can do it starting from NL.
When I see the way our people worship managers like Arsene Wenger I am at a loss.
His style is not new neither is it revolutionary.
The late Abdullahi Bebe who coached Stationary Stores to League victory in 1991 adopted the same style.
Starved of transfer funds, he opened the doors to young players such as Akeem Ogunlade who at 18 was one of the youngest if not the youngest to captain a league winning side in our footballing history.
It's about time we celebrate our own.
With all the noise about a collapsed economy in Zimbabwe, the local sides such as Caps United still draw a full house whenever they play. And yes they watch the EPL in Zimbabwe.
Same thing in Kenya. There's still major rivalry amongst the local sides despite the large following generated by the EPL.
Even the EPL is not perfect. It took over 100 years of football in the UK to get to where they are today.
Let us start restructuring our football.
The change that we all talk about, that we all so desire, starts with YOU.

Fashion / Re: Online Shopping In Lagos. Has It Come To Stay? by Shinor(m): 4:08pm On Jul 27, 2010
I have been using www.africaretail.com to get stuff to my folks back home and it works. Never had any issues with them so I guess online shopping has definitely come to stay. Biggest advantage for me is that they also operate a full collection centre in Ghana. I have used that a few times too to get some laptops to a few people i know in Ghana.
