We have gotten to an age where parents now leave the care of their sons and daughters to the care of one nanny.
If na abroad,I bet u.
Chioma might be in prison. Not true. Here in Canada, if you leave your kid in the hands of a babysitter or respite worker (who is over 16) and something negative happens to the child, you will not be accused of anything. You were not present - how then is it your fault? The nanny is totally to blame. There are procedures to taking personal phone calls or going for personal events while at work. |

emmyileri: 1. My source : Are the friends who live there. I'm sure you know not every of these events is on news. A child of 15 killing tens in primary school, and high schools with high caliber guns used in war. You don't have that in Africa. Kenneth hagins and Co (They) won't tell you when they did that. But I'm sure they live by the principles of the scripture NIV:Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far away.. Proverbs 22:15 Rod of discipline is two 1. The word, 2. The cane I'm also a teacher by profession, a well trained teacher.
They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 NIV:No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace.. Hebrews 12:10-11 Have you seen where a shepherd leads his sheep. If you have you will see how he uses his rod to bring about obedience in his sheep. Am I using cane to abuse or destroy my child? NO. the purpose is to trained him for value both now and future. I was trained by it and it works
The word rod indicates a thin stick or switch that can be used to give a small amount of physical pain with no lasting physical injury.Physical discipline is always done in love, never as a vent to the parent’s frustration. It is also just one part of discipline and should be used when the child shows defiance to a clear limit, not in the heat of the moment.... NIV:A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother. Prov 29:15 It's on this uncorrupted principle I stand on as a parent. 1. See the photo of what a shepherd's rod looks like. Have you watched a shepherd guide his sheep. There are many sheep farms here. A shepherd never ever strikes his sheep. 2. Hearsay is not a good enough source. My time is spent between Canada and the US. If the rate of killing was 10 times the death toll in Nigeria, I would know. You cannot compare secondary school and university cultism in Nigeria to what is happening here. Over here, Youths stand up for pregnant women, elderly people, disabled people. How many Nigerian youths will willingly give up their seats on the bus for these people. I have never ever locked my car since I bought it - Can I try that in Nigeria with Nigerian youths? I'm jogging and running at 2am here. In Nigeria I would lock my house at 10pm. And it is only since November 2021 that I started making sure that I lock my home doors. Up till yesterday doordash, ubereats will drop your food at your door and nobody will take it. The only error the youths here have is those sins that Nigerian youths do in secret, they will do it in the open if they commit those type of sins. I have verified sources (see screenshots) that state that 10,000 people were killed in a span of 10 years - the paper points at the youths as being the culprits - the same paper says 90% of killings are not recorded. What do you think that means, it means that in 10 years, the death of 900,000 people from cult activities spearheaded by youths was not reported. Please do not compare youth related violence in Nigeria and the US 3. Never ever in the bible was disciplining equated to striking. When the bible wanted to describe striking a rock, the bible never wrote "Moses did not spare the rod on the rock". The phrase used in the bible was "strike the rock with the rod" Disciplining is not equal to striking. If you live here in North America, and your child hits anyone, the school will know that the child learnt it from you, the parent and you will go for anger management classes

As per the colleague in your story, she's definitely not a serious person. Which abused person will continue to wait for the abuser to sign a divorce paper? Take your evidence to the magistrate and get your divorce. His consent is useless.
My cousin has been separated for three years, took her evidence to the court. Wife wants out, husband already has another woman but says he will drag the case forever, and will not sign divorce papers. Lady even offered the guy full custody of the teenage kids, the man refused because he believes and claims the moment he signs it, we will relocate her. Its sad. I usually have sex with my wife 2 weeks after she puts to bed. It pains her a little but I am very gentle with her. She knows I am not a cheating husband that is why.
Last night as I tried to make love to her, she was crying as usual. Before you know it, her aunty started banging the door and was shouting that I want to kill my wife.
I felt so embarrassed and went tried to explain to her that it’s not so. She said if I try it again she will carry my wife and children back to the village and will return her bride price.
She asked me to wait for at least 4 months before I touch my wife again which I promised her I will as I did not want her to report to my wife’s family.
What can I do? I don’t want to cheat on my wife and I don’t want to disrespect my Inlaw by sending her away. She is a nice woman but she is making me uncomfortable in my own home. My own is to bring out the key words in your write up

IntelChief: My elder sister is around 32 years and still not serious with marriage. Her only focus is on making money and she had been very successful in that aspect. She has a well paying job and is not only comfortable but also supports me financially sometimes.
But I just can't imagine why she is not disturbed about the fact that she is still single at her age. A lot of guys I know had been approaching her but she never accepts even a relationship offer from them, talk more of marriage. (And am very sure that she is not a lesbian or any of that).
As a church guy, I have seen a lot of women stock in this not being married thing and jumping from one church to the other seeking for husbands. Some of them, out of desperation, fall victims in the hands of fake pastors and sharp guys. I really don't want my sister to go through such.
Initially, I wasn't disturbed, but right now, this issue is burning not only me but also my aging mother. My mother had even stylishly urged my sister to go get married on several occasions. But she won't.
What really got me mad was when I was discussing with my sister some days back about her future plans. She told me stuffs like planning on travelling abroad for greener pastures, bla bla bla, but made no mention of marriage.
Honestly guys, I am tired. And as a man in the family, I am thinking of changing it for my sister. Am planning on threatening her that if she doesn't take the issue of marriage serious, I will go physical with her and teach her some lessons. But the issue is that she is my elder sister and I have some respect for her. And my action might end up affecting the bond in the family. Please go physical and teach her a lesson. You can even murder her so that she will not only be old, she will be dead and old. Next post! |

There is the sweet young lady, godly, smart and intelligent lady I plan settling down soon,we are so much into each other, we have discussed so many things concerning our future but the issue here is that she told me she would not want us to have our kids in Nigeria. I told her that there are actually some good places in Nigeria, in fact she told me she would want us to have a permanent residency over there in Canada,I told her about my work, she said that there is no problem if I would want to be coming visiting them to which I disagreed, she told me that she would want us to go there and continue more on her education and I settle and get a job there. I tried to let her know that she may choose to have our kids born there and we still return to Nigeria, but she's having none of that, she loves me so much, but this aspect is what I want to figure out.
Should I grant her that desire of totally relocating, or let us have our home there while I work here in Port Harcourt, I would not like to stay away from my family and kids.
What should I do now? There is nothing like a long distance marriage. This is a bomb waiting to explode. Can two work together except they agree (whole heartedly)? |

Travel › Re: Mother Loses Appeal In Custody Case, Ontario Court Sends Her 3 Kids To Nigeria by Shokoloko(f): 1:45pm On Sep 23, 2022 |
ednut1: An Ontario appeal court has sent three children back to Nigeria and the custody of their father, rejecting their mother’s arguments that she could not get a fair shake in that country because of patriarchal attitudes and anti-gay prejudice.
The case of Olubukola Ajayi and Eyitope Ajayi is one of a growing number of disputes in Canada that set concerns about international child abduction against arguments about unfairness and discrimination in foreign jurisdictions.
Ms. Ajayi argued in court that she was justified in bringing their three young children to Canada without the father’s consent last November, because of discrimination, abuse (which Mr. Ajayi denies committing), patriarchal attitudes and the influence of her ex-husband’s family in Nigeria.
She asked the Ontario Superior Court to assume jurisdiction for the couple’s parenting issues and grant her sole decision-making authority over the children.
On the same day, Mr. Ajayi asked a Nigerian court to dissolve the marriage.
In Nigeria, homosexual acts may be punished with jail sentences. Mr. Ajayi made reference in a court document filed in Nigeria to Ms. Ajayi being linked to the LGBTQ community. That forced Ontario judges, in an initial ruling and an appeal, to grapple with how Nigeria’s legal system operates, and determine whether its courts would put the children first.
“I ran here just for a fair shot at protecting my rights as their mom,” Ms. Ajayi, who trained as a lawyer in Nigeria, said in an interview. Both she and her ex-husband are dual citizens of Canada and Nigeria, as are the children; Ms. Ajayi travelled to Canada to give birth to the children here.
But the courts here, she said, “did not understand how being a man in Nigeria gives all this extra privilege and power. I had never planned to alienate my children from their father and his family. But I knew that that’s what they wanted to do to me in Nigeria.”
Paul Riley, a lawyer for the father, said the decision showed that Ontario courts will stand up to child abduction.
“I think what the decision shows this week is that Canada is not going to embrace those who involve themselves in child abduction. You are not going to leave your country and then wrap yourselves in the warm embrace of the Ontario judicial system.”
STORY CONTINUES BELOW ADVERTISEMENT
Canada is a signatory to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, which sets out the legal rules for returning children to their home jurisdiction. But Nigeria is not a member of the convention, and Ontario law provides that the province’s courts may take jurisdiction in such a case where it is satisfied that the foreign country does not put children’s best interests first.
A two-woman, one-male panel of Ontario’s Divisional Court released a written ruling this week explaining why they had upheld Family Court Justice Tracy Engelking’s decision to reject jurisdiction in the case. Having taken the children without consent, Ms. Ajayi needed to show they would suffer serious harm if returned to Nigeria, Justice Elizabeth Sheard, Justice Katherine Swinton and Justice David Aston said.
The judges said they accepted Justice Engelking’s ruling from May that Ms. Ajayi had failed to do so. Justice Engelking found that Ms. Ajayi had only ever said she might be asexual, and that Mr. Ajayi himself had testified in Ontario that he supports gay rights. An expert in Nigerian law testified that none of this would be a factor in determining the children’s best interests in a Nigerian court.
Justice Engelking also ruled the children were not at risk of harm with their father, noting that Ms. Ajayi had left the two older children in their father’s care for an extended period when she came to Canada to give birth. As for the father’s family’s influence, Justice Engelking pointed out that Ms. Ajayi’s mother is a superior court judge in Nigeria.
The children are now back in Nigeria. Ms. Ajayi said she will not return to Nigeria but her lawyers will fight in that country for primary custody for her, “and to have them returned back to me.” If they do not succeed, they will ask for video call access and holidays with Ms. Ajayi in Ottawa.
Nigerian students challenge English language proficiency requirements as unnecessary, discriminatory
Nicholas Bala, a professor specializing in family law at Queen’s University, said that more mobile societies have produced growing numbers of international family law disputes.
“In the absence of persuasive evidence of abuse or discrimination, it’s appropriate to send these cases back to the country of origin – which also has the effect of telling people that Canada is not going to become a haven for child abduction,” he said.
He said it is also a “question of balance.” In some countries, politics may wrongly enter family-law disputes. “I think the court was satisfied that Nigeria in 2022 is not one of those countries.”
Ms. Ajayi’s lawyer Valerie Akujobi said it’s a challenge when Canadian courts have to make determinations based in part on attitudes and sentiments in a foreign jurisdiction.
“The court does try to strike the right balance; in this case, we just felt that certain aspects had been perhaps lost in translation.”
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-mother-loses-appeal-in-custody-case-ontario-court-sends-her-three/ On behalf of women, I say thank you to the court in Ontario. The fact that she could leave two other kids in their father's care while she went to Canada to give birth to the third child means that though her spouse may not be perfect, he is not a risk to the children. |

But in the meantime do something called OIL PULLING to give yourself relief: get groundnut, coconut or vegetable oil, keep a mouthful inside your mouth for 4-5 minutes. Make sure you do not swallow it. Spit out: that should give you relief at least for 48 - 72 hours at a time. In my case, I didn't need to pull my tooth or fill it but I cant guarantee the state of the tooth, and that is why I say you have temporary relief. Besides I oil pull every week.

Cc Lalasticlala justwise, seun, Obinoscopy, Oa4mj Mynd44 I feel for her. Unfortunately, its somewhat late. Totally impossible to stop a person who is committed to a path. There are several ways to move to Canada: some require applying with your family and some do not. If he is blocked one way, he will surely find the other way. The spouse's selfishness and disloyalty did not start today. It was noticed even during courtship period. The wife should have started fighting for her kids rights and gathering "provisions" for her children years ago. This fire brigade approach will not work. |

For me this discussion is not even about the others, it is about you. if you are a youth led movement, your candidate should be a 35-50 year old to spearhead the movement. it is intellectual deceitfulness or lazyness at best to say "younger".
If you are now falling behind special advisers, then it goes against the ageism in your movement because an old man can also appoint special advisers!! This discussion and your responses goes to the heart of flaw in the Obidient movement...it is not an idealogical or intellectual movement but a movement borne out of convergent strange bedfellows of frustrated naive youth, tribal considerations and wokism who have simply rallied behind an opportunist because he was all that was available!!!
The irony is you gave him the platform, you could easily have found a youth amongst yourselves and used the plaform which is of your creation to field somoene who is truly not part of the old establishment and at least represents you and your aspirations. You are a youth say 30 and below and you are busting your ass in the name of age to hand power to a 64 year old? Are you fucking kidding me Younger is what you are using to fool yourselves? What is the difference between 64 and 70? A man who is 64 is just as remote and removed from a 30 yr old as someone who is 70. When youths were working to bring change in America, they were working for a 40 yr old Obama!! Not a man who when Deola asked 3 times how will you create jobs for tech savvy youths waffled on and on for 11 minutes and couldn’t give an answer that shows he understands the needs of youths. Go watch the video. They are asking you about tech savvy youths and he is answering as if he is talking about mechanic or trader apprentice schemes!!!! The thing is Obi cannot know it all. None of the aspirants can know it all - they have special advisers for that. But Atiku is 75 and Jagaban is 86. There is a large and consequential age difference amongst them all. I can see that you are very youth oriented, but can you for a moment see that there is no youth amongst the top three contenders? There is not one 40 year old among the top contenders. Anyways, we will meet at the polls and may Nigeria be given the person that they truly deserve. |

Because they worked for it!!!! Then why are people angry that the youth are trying to seize power and hand it over to a younger presidential aspirant? Why are people angry at the efforts (work) that the youth are making to take away power from very old politicians? Martin Luther once said "I have a dream.." not I have a force. But slowly his dream is becoming reality. Every physical manifestation begins with a dream. If they can hand over power to a 30 year old, awesome. and if not its fine to start with a 64 year old. |
