I know people here who have so surrounded themselves with immediate and extended families that they conduct wedding for their children without needing to go to naija for the cérémony. I was really impressed. Colourful Aso-ebi and gele, amala-on-spot at the wedding. All within this Canada.

Earlier this year, I went back in time to few years back when I was doing so well in Nigeria. The noises from friends and all nurtured the decision to move abroad inside of me. I became so restless till I finally leave. The first day in Canada was the day I knew this place isn't where I can be forever. Most of us would have come back before the time we had in mind except for the fact that I don't still have enough. If I want to travel to naija for vacation now, I will need up to $4k. If I take that away from my savings, I don't know how I can recover.

No one tells about the downside of this place. I feel lonely, depressed and empty most times. Because no one to talk to, just everyone in my workplace goin about their business. If I make attempt to talk to them, they just waive it with a smile. It's been 3years here and the people I still talk to on video call are friends from Nigeria. It's been 3years and my savings is still Short of $20k despite how much my friends in Nigeria do tell me how easy it is for me to make money abroad but I never tell them my situation. I can't wait to make enough and leave Canada for good. I know a lot will come at me with the usuall "come back to Nigeria na", please this is not an attempt to denigrate your abroad heaven, just for me to rant out and be fine

If you are in Ottawa, please send me a DM. There is a massive Nigerian community in Ottawa. We support and encourage each other. Each summer there are Nigerian parties bi-weekly (even tribal parties). Its awesome. You do not have to be alone.

There are also sister branches in other cities in Ontario.

Update;
I do appreciate your effort, but there is no data to analyse in the report in the link you posted. Soludo spoke about measurements within Obi's eight year tenure. The report in the link above is just for 2010.

The onus is still on Soludo to prove his allegations. He cannot just quote and expect people to believe him. By the way I also dismiss some of Obi's claim is they cannot be easily verified.

In this instance Soludo is just being vindictive and cunning.

But insults make the candidates look bad. I am not very happy with the manner obidients talk to others. I dont care what supporters of atiku and tinubu, but i prefer obidients to be civil and smart.
We can actually pass our points across without insults, and at the end of the day voting not insults will count. For me, I wont engage in insults, I know what to do at my polling unit on the election day.

Instead of the Obidient and the rest of Nigeria throwing emotional attacks on Soludo accusing of being jealous, I will rather we ask the following question to know the veracity of his remarks.

The questions we should be asking from Soludo's rejoinder are:

1. Is it true the $12m Obi invested is worth $3m?
2. Is it true that Obi put govt money in the name of investment in a company where his family is a shareholder?
3. Is true Obi saved money in the presence of decaying infrastructure like lack of roof on school buildings, bad road, lack of proper hospital etc?
4. Is it true Ngige's constructed roads are still standing while Obi's has been washed away?
5. Is it true poverty skyrocketed during Obi( when oil was at its peak) and went down during Obiano?
6. Is Soludo lying or Obi lied to us?

Good questions.
Based on depreciating Naira, I believe no 1 is true.

Unfortunately, throughout he VERY LONG rebuttal, Soludo did not give any links to his sources. So where do people go verify from?
He just mentioned the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics - a very large and complex website that will take forever to find information from.

It would have been more credible if he had used ten seconds of writing all he did on his Facebook post to supply at least one link to his claims.

Hi, first i want to thank you all for your advise the last time i was here.
the last time i brought up my problems here, i vented out about how my husband is being a total pain in the ass.
the problem is one, he's cheating on me with several girls and still want to have sex with me but i refused stating that until he does a full STD test we are not having sex, simply put i need to Know that he is STD free before we have sex again
