^^^^^ You're not serious. How does watching Titanic correlate with sleeping off? So, you're addicted to Bollywood (Like Stars on earth)?Okay naa.. I also rewatch Phone Swap somtyms too especially this scene: Nse Ikpe Etim: Oh...I've never entered a plane before... Her Fashion Design Boss: (Chuckles) I've lost count myself... ![]() |
There are some movies I just like watching again and again (don't know if it's addiction) especially my favourite scenes. Examples: The Help, Dark Knight, Silver linings playbook, Bad Teacher, Easy A, Inglorious Basterds, Titanic, Thunderbolt(Magun) and few others. Can ppl here also list movies they like to 're watch' from time to time? Do ppl even like to rewatch movies 'cos most of my friends despise the idea? |
speedyboi: lol...noooo....Infact, I had the opportunityAwww....I missed the thread oo. It has been deleted. Seun vs Sexkillz / Ogugua. Bye bye to them sha. |

speedyboi: I hear Sexkillz and Ogugua yaff turned to 'nobody'. 1 minute silence for them pleaseYou just dey hear? Lol. I would miss @Ogugua sha. But I think they've both opened new accounts - Jamie and Nkem. |

speedyboi: So tell me what's special about them? The prestige attached to winning an award in the first place (presented to you by a human being like you)-more of it is attached to a world-recognised award that tries to focus on quality (even if not everytime) instead of starpower, fame or box office. That's the special thing about the Oscars et al. And the prestige attached helps an artiste to build his or her resume...and maybe get more quality-focused jobs (as an actor) or increase album sales (as a musician who wasn't well-known prior to the grammy win). Speedyboi...stop pulling my legs. You know all these...just trying to sound like a 'patriotic African'. |
nikkypearl: sholay,u don find me come hereYes....I dey stalk you for NL. ![]() So, you're just going for your FIRST date after being MARRIED? I don't get. Talk true ... |
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend? |
@speedypikin...Stop sounding patriotic jare. Let's be fair...The Grammys and Oscars are worth the hype. I am sure you know this. I am just curious as to why you decided to take this route. ![]() AMAA and Oscars...the same thing? I laff! ![]() |
@OP....Wetin be dis? Are you chatting with yourself? O ga o. |
speedyboi: Exactly what is so special about Grammy and Oscar awards sef? They are awards of a country just like every other awards in numerous countries and people will kill to win 'best foreign'. Hian! The day i will be ecstatic about both awards is when i see a hollywood filmmaker who wants to win AMAAWe've heard you. Next!!! ![]() |
Hopefully, this is his time. The fourth time may be his charm. ![]() Surprisingly, the artistes we mostly shout about in naija are no where near Grammy noms...how far? ![]() |
I thought the OP was married.... ![]() |
Nice one. I can't wait to see Kemi Lala on screen. |
joeydozzy: Get away from me, chihuahuaDid speedyboi hack into @joeydozzy's NL account? ![]() |
prof800: good evening all...Evening. How your day? |
prof800: ^^^^ ![]() I can't believe this is your first thread though. O ga o. ![]() |
prof800: @chromatic are you saying Cate Blanchett has the best performance this year?Hmm...Oga Prof...have you watched 'Blue Jasmine'? Cate Blanchett's performance has no serious competition this year oh. It was of another cadre. Sandra Bullock gave a career best in 'Gravity' which was phenomenal but there are some performances that are equally as excellent: Emma Thompson in 'Saving Mr Banks' Judu Dench in 'Philomena' Adele Exarchopolous in 'Blue is the warmest colour' Jennifer lawrence in 'Hunger games : Catching Fire'. But none of these performances are at par with that of Cate Blanchett. Btw, include the Los Angeles Film Critics Awards that holds Dec 8 in your post. This is the second tym I'm suggesting it sir. |
chromatic: They might just spread all these awards over the season...I was thinking 12 years a slave will sweep a lot but then again, all these films just have good claims for themselves. They should show love to Prisoners too(maybe they'll get SAG recognition sha)You seem to be quite current with how tinz dey go for dis awards race. I haven't seen Dallas Buyers Club but wiv the preview I saw...it's really on point wiv some 'Oscar-y' performances, especially Matthew McConaughey (he lost many pounds for this role of an HIV-positive man or smth and was almost unrecognisable) and Jared Leto (who played a transvetite I think. He had to shave every hair on his body and lose about 30 pounds to get into character. Imagine...dis white ppl sef). |

Nice thread. Prof, you missed the first critic award : New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC) awards that held Dec 3. And it's given more consideration than the National Board of Review (NBR) award sef. These were the winners: Best Picture: AMERICAN HUSTLE (Many expected either '12 years a Slave' or 'Gravity' to clinch this...lol) Best Director: STEVE MCQUEEN ( DIRECTOR OF '12 YEARS A SLAVE) Best Actor: ROBERT REDFORD (ALL IS LOST) Best Actress: CATE BLANCHETT (BLUE JASMINE) Best Supporting Actor: JARED LETO (DALLAS BUYERS' CLUB) Best Supporting Actress: JENNIFER LAWRENCE (AMERICAN HUSTLE) Best Screenplay: ERIC SINGER AND DAVID O RUSSELL AMERICAN HUSTLE Best Cinematography: INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS ( I thought it would be GRAVITY though) Best First film: FRUITVALE STATION By the way, 'HER' won the best picture at the National Board of Review awards yesterday. Quite ridiculous considering other contenders but it's an excellent film nonetheless. Also include the Los Angeles Film Critics Award (LAFC) that holds December 8. It's a major award that may shift the oscar race as much as the NYFCC as slightly done. I am watching at this race closely...catching my fun ![]() |
