Saidat006: What I mean is that after I have submitted and fill my application form, should I still leave the said money in the account or I can use it for other things pending the time the visa will be approved You can use it for other things, but you must be ready to replenish it any moment if called upon. |

I congratulate you on your miracle. Mena97: IT ENDED IN PRAISE OHHHH I am a silent reader and I won’t be happy if I don’t share my testimony. I applied for study visa in September for January 2022 and I was rejected because of a mistake I made. I deferred my admission to September 2022 and I re- applied on the 14th of February 2022. I got my PPR on the 23rd of February 2022. It can only be God. I have received my passport back Months before I am to resume. I don’t even know if I should go early or wait till July/August I am so happy and excited for this my Miracle. It would definitely end in Praise. |

ANGELAREE: I don’t understand Applying to CBN to sell you a foreign exchange at official rate is done through filling Form A. You just type "CBN FORM A" on your search engine. It'll take you to Trade System portal, from there, you can apply. Documents to submit are: Flywire receipt in USD or CAD, admission letter, highest certificate and passport bio-data page. How to get Flywire receipt. Fill in your school details on Flywire website and instead of choosing to pay in Naira, choose international payment in CAD or USD as there will be many options there. After selecting USD or CAD, Flywire will generate a receipt and give you seven days or less to make the payment. If you can't make the payment within 7 days, talk to Flywire, they'll extend it for another 14 days. The CBN will sell CAD around 323 to 332. Black market rate or Flywire rate is around 455. Choices of Banks for faster response: Access Bank (2 weeks, all currency), Globus Bank (1 week, USD only and BSC, MSC and PhD only), Jaiz Bank (4 days, USD only) |

ANGELAREE: I want to pay my acceptance fee of 1500 cad but it’s very expensive on flywire
Is there any other cheaper alternative Use Form A. Get a receipt from Flywire in either USD or CAD and use it to fill e-FORM-A. The CBN will sell CAD for you at a rate of #323/$ or whatever the rate is now. |

BenedictStinson: Hullo all. I'm planning on applying for a study permit for January as I don't think there is enough time for September and I don't want to go through the hassles of admission deferrals or starting online. I have someone willing to pay my school fees for me in my chosen institution from their own account (a one year Ontario post graduate certificate). After that they will boost my account balance to about 9m, Is that enough to apply as self sponsored? In theory, it is enough. In practice, it is not enough because no Ontario College offers paid tuition or entrance scholarship. Hence, you'll need to calculate your total expenses as tuition fee for a year or two if the course is two years + $10,000 living expenses or ($20,000 if you're staying for two years) + some change to provide for miscellaneous expenses. For courses lasting more than a year, IRCC states $10k as living expenses + one year tuition, but to be on a safe side, show them two year tuition fee and two year living expenses. If after calculating this, and it's equivalent to #9m: then, you're good to go. |

eniola1010: thanks so much i appreciate. but u use style yab me for begining o Sorry for that @eniola1010, I beg. Because of this advantage, people don't want to go study in the US, UK etc. That's why people are trooping into Canada. Note that you must be enrolled in a DLI. If you enroll in a non DLI, you'll pack your load and come back home after your study |

eniola1010: hello guys, you're all doing a good job. something is baffling me. i want to ask. if one successfully go to Canada for a 2 year master's. after the 2 years is over. what means can one devise to still stay over there maybe through working or something.
can someone please explain that work scope, or asides work is there any other loophole one can take advantage of to still remain there whilst processing PR. This shows that you don't know much about Canada Study Visa. It is not a sin though. After study at a DLI institution, you are eligible for a 1 year Post Graduation Work Permit in a case of a course that is 8 - 12 months long in duration and 3 year Post Graduation Work Permit for courses that is 2 or more years long in duration. With this Post Graduation Work Permit, you can work white collar jobs and become a Permanent Resident ( You must meet some requirements under Express Entry to become a PR but it's very easy) Permanent Residence Card is referred to as Stay by some people. This means you can enter Canada anytime you like and live there forever without requiring a visa. Your children will get free education etc After 3 years of being a Permanent Resident, you can apply to become a citizen |

Bambam4life: Abeg, I need answer to my question, abeg: is the biometrics slip the long one? To my knowledge, I would consider the letter given to me by IRCC and the appointment letter by VFS as biometric letter. If you read the contents of the letters plus what you read here on NL, you'll not miss it. You should behave like a Lagosian or Nigerian per se, if I were you, I would go with both letters and my passport and passport bio-data page and do two photocopies for each document. I know it's more than enough: so, when I get there, I won't lack in any aspect. |

kingjizz: Answer me and stop all this please @kingjizz It is good you follow the advice given, else, you'll be vulnerable to attacks by some financial rodents and predators. Go to page 1 or whatever page and read and research for yourself. In fact, you have just been attacked by someone who says, "... Canadian tuition fee starts from $16k..." Ordinarily, you may not see this as an attack, but ask the person, "is it true you really can't find a Canadian college or university for as low as $9k depending on your program?" Immigration journey is a thing you need to fully immerse yourself in. Even though you pay an agent, both of you should walk the walk together, otherwise, where you're supposed to spend #3, you might spend #3m. |

@CheapHomes1 I don't mean to discredit your post but I think it may be misleading quoting tuition fee for Canadian colleges and universities as $16k+ as if there are no colleges and universities with tuition fees as low as $10,000 depending on the program of study. Even, some colleges offer courses as low as $9000 for international students. Examples are University of Saskatchewan ( less than $16k for some Masters, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Dip etc), NBCC ($11,000 for some GCert, Dip, Cert) among others. I was refused before and am trying to reapply now but due to the card limit recently imposed someone is trying to help me pay for my fee but requesting 130k. Remember am applying the second time and I don't need biometric and all. How much is the visa fee in naira? I don't have 130k Visa fee is $150 since you don't need to do biometric again. |
