Please, how much did you book your flight from Egypt air?[ quote author=tajuowo post=122993051]God bless you for this first hand information. my agent was saying egypt air won't allow me board. she even told me there's an update from Canada this April stating covid vaccine to be compulsory for entry
If you haven't booked your flight already, I will advise you take a strategic position on it and do the following:

1. Change your VPN to Canada. This will make cookies see your location as in Canada.
2. Search around 12am and 4am EST for cheapest flight tickets.
3. Focus on AirCanada, British Airline, AirFrance and KLM.
4. You will be able to book for around CAD 500 and CAD 1,300 if you have CAD or other foreign currency to pay.
5. If you do not have CAD, and you are able to get a cheap flight from AirCanada, they have partnership with British Airlines, they most probably would want you to leave Nigeria on a British Airlines flight because they don't ply Nigeria route, call them and ask if you could come to their office to make payment using NGN, they will charge the official rate of around $1/330. Ask before taking this action.

This is my advice.

This information/method is proven as I have booked a flight in the past for a family of 3 traveling from Nigeria to Canada within 4 days interval between booking date and flight date for just $3,888-- I believe you can imagine how much this would have cost. It would have cost not less than $10,000 as that was what I found. I even saw flight tickets as high as $15,000, $20,000 etc.

Kindly do not take this as an advert or professional advice. I only shared what I know and have tested which worked for me. It may not work for you.

EDIT.
Do not board a flight having stop over in the US if you don't have US visa.

Flights going through the US are always cheaper; do not be tempted to buy this tickets if you don't have the US visa.

Also, if your journey is having more than one stop over in Schengen region, do not board if you don't have visa. You can board if it's just one stop over in Shengen region.

You can pass through the UK and the Ireland without a visa if you hold a Canadian visa.

What do I do?
Kindly find the link below;

As for the medical report, even if you didn't upload anything, your profile would be updated as soon as the panel clinic uploads it for IRCC to access.

You should still upload it though.

Good afternoon all,
Please I want to ask a question
The school I got admission into as an undergraduate does not require a tuition deposit and as such, i dint pay any.wont this affect my visa application as i have been seeing people putting thier deposit receipt in thier application letter.
No, it won't if the school doesn't require you to pay anything.

Just ensure your POF has all the funds needed.

Hello everyone,
Please guys is it Ok to move money from one of your accounts to another to be presented for POF.
The same account holder would move The money from his bank to the bank to used for POF.
Please what is the implication of doing this?
I look forward to your reply.

Kind regards.
You can do it for whatever amount of money insofar you are showing the statement from which the transfer is coming alongside the other and provide explanations that both accounts belong to you.

Both account statements must be for a period of 4+ months to prove you are not attempting to conceal the source of a lump sum.

I am hoping you can please share the mail you forwarded your statement to

Hi Everyone, treat it as urgent!!!

Will my wife and daughter require a digital photo for the SOWP and Visit visas on Gckeys? My approved study permit, which I submitted through the New portal last year, didn't require a digital photo, and even a visit visa on the new portal didn't need to.

If YES, Pls any recommended Photo lab (Ikeja, Ikorodu axis).

OR, Can any photographer take a digital photo so far they follow the photo guideline?
Yes, digital photo is needed if you are applying through GCkey.

You can use your phone to snap. The dimension needed is 35mm by 45mm or follow the instructions here thoroughly https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/temporary-resident-visa-application-photograph-specifications.html

Hello All, please I need clarification on this Information:

I am applying for a PGD in Canada for school route and plan to apply for PR after graduation and working in Canada.

My Wife is also applying directly for Express entry via the Visa route.

My question is will the Canada immigration disqualify us ? Since we seem to be using two routes huh

Please give you honest view ...thanks
Whether or not you are Nigerians, dual intent is welcome by IRCC. No disadvantage for Nigerians.

I wish you can elaborate more on what you mean by "My Wife is also applying directly for Express entry via the Visa route."

1. Does this mean your wife has been issued invitation to apply (ITA) from the Express Entry pool and has applied?
2. Does your wife just apply to be in the pool?
3. What do you mean by "Visa route"?

My knowledge of Express Entry is if you apply to be in the pool but have not got Invitation to Apply ITA, you don't consider yourself as having applied for PR via Express Entry.

Also, there are only three sub routes for outland applicants in Express Entry, namely; PNP and FST and FSW (direct-- if your CRS is up to 492+ currently). There are various ways to get PNP which is province-, territorial-, municipal-, or rural-specific.

exactly. No manual to this. And I don't think sending web forms does much at this stage. He/she will get their PPR.
Sending emails and web forms can do alot at any stage when an application has stalled for too long.

It is stated on IRCC website. Web forms and emails are welcome when an application has stalled longer than the stipulated processing time

No one can give exact answer as this is totally dependent on IRCC. You should be hopeful of receiving a PPR soon. If your application timeline has reached 12 weeks or updated timeline, you can start sending them emails and web forms.

People have received PPRs a week/month, or more, after medical updated to pass; while some got after 24 hours

Please I need assistance.

I'm about paying a deposit of 1500cad for Conestoga college.

But I need to know how much I need to have in my account as POF.

After paying the deposit, I'm going to be left with ₦10.5m + foreign stocks worth 3k usd.

Conestoga fees per annum is roughly 18,000cad and I'm expected to pay a full semester fee of about 8k before resumption. Add that to the living expenses (not sure of the exact amount but I'm thinking 10k).

My question is how much minimum would suffice for POF?
Tuition fee : $36,000 ($18,000 x 2 years)
Living Expenses: $20,000 ($10,000 x 2 years)
Miscellaneous Expenses: $3000.
Total : $59,000 (NGN 20,119,000 @ $1/341)

Do not be scared by the calculation up there. There have been people who showed minimum expenses for 1 year with undoubtable explanations of how they would pay for the second year with sufficient evidence and got visa approval: but from experience, this is difficult for Nigerians.

With high probability, your fund will not be sufficient except you do well in proving how you will cater for the second year expenses.

While you cannot base your application timeline on another's and it is not even up to 12 weeks since you applied, I think you should not think much about it; you should instead focus on how you can shorten the timeline by submitting upfront medical examination report. This act could trigger IRCC to focus on your application, although there is no guarantee.

This bolded part of ur initial comment is my bone of contention . The acceptance rate is quite low . So what else shd we do , shd we make d payment of subsequent years instead of showing proof and explanation of how it will be paid ? …lol… na y I say dis ppl don deal with a lot of applications, dem knw our intentions, even show dem proofs of ow subsequent years will be paid beyond their expectations inasmuch u no make d payment down or move d money to a GIC , dem knw say na hustle or scholarship u wan rely on to meet d expenses…lol…. So d acceptance rate being low for Nigerians is more dan weda u shw dem proof of subsequent years or not .
Ofcourse I’m not sayin u shd tell dem ur subsequent years will be paid by working in Canada..hell no..lol grin .. d bfast wey dem go serve u go hot if u do so
I quite understand you.

Showing funds in applicant's or sponsor account is enough evidence. You don't necessarily need to buy GIC or pay when the school has not asked for it.

VOs do not assume what your intention is without demonstrable evidence to back it up. This is why they created some metrics (Eligibility Criteria) to determine approval or refusal. Even if you have ulterior motive, but you have your applications prepared well and prove beyond reasonable doubts that you are a bonafide student, VOs have no option than to approve your application.

Breakfast is due to one or more reasons. On reapplication, if addressed competently and all eligibility criteria are taken care off, applications are always approved.

The low acceptance rate for Nigerians that I am talking about is about not readily having subsequent years' tuition fees or strong evidence but give explanations instead. Some Nigerians have done this successfully but the rate of success is low. VOs don't take explanations without evidence.

I hope you understand me clearly now.

Lol…u sure d acceptance rate is low for naija by doing so ? Una think those VO no know say 80% of applicant na 1st year money dem get na scholarship n work we dey rely on to pay d subsequent ones regardless any paparazzi we present as pof grin
Scholarship is a good evidence and explanation. VOs don't know or accept you don't have a mean of paying for subsequent years.

If you explain you depend on working to finance your education, you are shooting yourself in the foot.

I will be willing to learn if you can show me a good number of people who got visa from Nigeria without providing good explanation or evidence on how they would pay subsequent years' tuition fees.

If you present any "paparazzi' as POF, you also get 'paparazzi' in your visa application decision. Although I don't know what you mean by 'paparazzi.'

Tuition and fees (aprox cad 14,500)
Living - 10k

So I sum at cad 25k
You may want to add $3000 as Miscellaneous Expenses.

Also, if the duration of your study is more than one year, you must in addition either show subsequent years' tuition fees or explain beyond reasonable doubt and provide solid evidence on how you would pay for subsequent years.

While it is easier to provide evidence of and explanation on how to pay subsequent years' tuition fees, the rate of acceptance is quite low for Nigerians. This is why it is advisable to provide and show the tuition fee for subsequent years.

Form A is approved at two levels: firstly, at branch level; and secondly, at disbursement level.

If your account is empty or has insufficient balance, it'll not be approved at branch level at first.

Whether or not you would be called cannot be determined due to intermittent availability of FX except you have a rapport with an insider. Although some will call you naturally without having a rapport, it cannot be guaranteed. There is not enough FX to entertain calling someone: they move on with whoever is ready.

PLS HELP ANSWER MY QUESTION

Guys pls I have a question and I would really appreciate anyone's input........... I studied architecture in Nigeria and i and finished in 2018 then i came to the UK for my MSc in construction project management and finished earlier this year and I would like to do a post graduate certificate at Algonquin college/Fanshawe college or george brown but my question is can I still do it under CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT or it must be different from what I had done before like BUILDING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY(BIM). PLS, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF THE GURU'S OR ANY ONE CAN ANSWER THIS SO I CAN START MY application as soon as possible.
While it is possible for a Master degree holder to go for a lower qualification, it must be on the basis that the lower qualification is a critical addendum to the prior higher qualifications. In my opinion, you cannot have a MSc Construction Project Management and still wish to go for PGCert Project Management within just a year of completing MSc. This does not show academic progression nor career projection at all.

You could have MSc Maths and go for PGD/PGCert Business because you are a business manager with 2 years work experience after completing your MSc. with an intent to be grounded in Business which is crucial to your professional goal.

You could have MBA and wish to go for PGD/PGCert Data Analytics because you need the knowledge of IT especially Data Science to excel in your current role.

Construction Project Management is way too closely related to Project Management. Also, I will ask if you have a work experience between the span of the time you completed your masters and now.

I hope you understand my point.

This is not to be misconstrued for professional advice. This is just my opinion. It may be totally not correct.

Good day everyone, I have some questions regarding form A.
How long does form A take to process now?
If your bank wants to debit the Naira equivalent from your bank account and they don’t find the money there, do they mail you to credit your account or they just cancel it?
Thank you all.
It takes between 1 week and 90 days depending on the bank, your turnover and your influence.

When I say influence, I mean how far your voice can go. If you know the strategies, you can get it done in 30 - 60 days or less.

Choose UBA, Access, Globus ( if for Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate degrees only), Jaiz, Taj and Heritage.

Some banks would call you to deposit money while some banks won't. It is safe to let your money sit in the account.

Plenty questions in 1. Please pardon me.

Firstly, can I go for police clearance and medicals before submitting my application?

Secondly, can husband and wife do Police clearance/medicals upfront even if only one of them is applying now? Since the secondary applicant will still need them to apply later

Thirdly, how much is police clearance currently? I will also appreciate a contact at the office.

Thank you
1. Police Clearance Certificate is not necessary for Study Visa.

2. You can do upfront medical and submit with your application or submit later or wait until they request. Upfront medical examination pays more because it drastically cuts down on the processing time.

3. Police Clearance Certificate is valid for just three months and not mandatory for Canadian Study Visa. You can submit your application without it and get a decision earlier than those that submit it. It's absolutely not necessary and has no impact on the processing time.

Good afternoon to everyone in the house and congratulations to all the ppr recipients.
Please, I'm at a crossroad and I need urgent help. I applied for study visa through an agent, one of my siblings will be sponsoring me and we have sent his bank statement (mine was never requested for) to that effect. She left out so many important documents like my appointment/confirmation letters and some other work related documents but that is the least of my worries as she's yet to reveal to me the exact date of application. I don't have access to my page (profile) and I cannot monitor the progress of things or know the documents she submitted. On having a second look at the yellow slip printed out at the biometrics collection center (4/7/2022), I noticed that the email on the slip was very different from the one I filled on the form and the copy of my biodata page I submitted. Do you think the went with the one she filled in the application or the one I gave at on the day of my biometrics? I still have my copy of the biodata page I wrote my email address and phone number on. I tried calling VFS, but the line wasn't connecting. The agent has not been truthful and so far, as I've also seen 3 different application numbers on each documents she has sent me. What do you think I should do? I have almost lost hope in the whole process. Please, help me. I just want to know my chances and or if I should start the whole process all over as we have been on this since last year
While you may not have access to your application, you should know your UCI number and application number.

Kindly ask for the Confirmation of Application Submission letter and Biometric Letter. You should have access to these two documents. You should also ask for the screenshot of your application profile page.

Also, you should have only one application number (Sxxxxxxx in a case of study visa, Exxxxxxx for Express Entry, Vxxxxxxx for visit visa etc) and a UCI number for an application.

I just wish to make the following pieces of information known to those who will like to learn new things and probably who have always held on to some beliefs and myth.

1a. You must submit a birth certificate from NPC or LGA— Myth.
1b. You can use an affidavit (a document signed in a law court of any jurisdiction usually done for a token of #200 – #500)—Truth and confirmed.

2a. You must submit MyBankStatement or printed and stamped bank statement only—Myth.
2a. You can submit a stamped and signed e-statement as well—Truth and confirmed.

3a. Your SOP must be in a particular format or addressed to someone or organization—Myth.
3b. You can write your SOP in any format that best conveys your message and may not be addressed to anyone or organization. The fact is you are literate, write it as you would a letter— Truth and confirmed.

4a. Once you submit your application, you cannot add, fill or correct IMM forms or other documents again—Myth.
4b. You can add more documents as you like and fill, correct or change IMM forms— Truth and confirmed.

5a. You cannot go for a credential lower than what you already have— Myth
5b. You can go for any program level as you desire. All it takes is convincing and tenable reasons material enough to substantiate your claim—Truth and confirmed

The points go on and on.

I like to try new things and think in ways that are sometimes not in tandem with the majority but are intelligent and wise if given second thought. All these are all I have tried. They all worked out.

I guess I'm a little late to the party cry, Just heard about this forum during my layover at the airport in Cairo, yes I got into Canada Yesterday (Thank God). Please is anyone in the house attending Fanshawe College? I'm having difficulty renting a house (I'm on a budget ), I booked an Airbnb for 4 days so I can find my way with renting a shared place (hopefully I can get a partner here) during the period,

Also, my Visa was for last year September's admission which got delayed until February during which my agent and myself got the message mixed up and I got kicked out of the school by December, Luckily the visa came in February so I had to start the admission process all over again and made a new payment (Fanshawe collects full Semester Tuition) but was for 6 months which will end on 25th August 2022. on getting to the Immigration counter I was given a study permit which ends on 25th August 2022 same date as my visa but was asked to apply for an extension immediately. can someone please help put y through the process and the required documents?

Please I need help as to what to do.
I have requested to send you mail concerning the accomodation issue you talked about, please reply my email request.

Please note that you may not be able to begin classes before the extension is granted: act fast now, you have up to 90 days to remain in Canada though: the school might resume classes before the 90 days elapse. Applying online will get your extension approved in no time— probably this month.

In addition she's a member of some professional organizations and has publications too. These factors and others we may not know may also have played a huge role in the amazing offers she got.

All the same, congratulations to her and wishing everyone all the best. smiley
I understand, but this wouldn't have been possible if it were to be in Nigerian universities where we have professors that don't want to hear the word "HND" out of what I call "academic illiteracy".

I learned she also finished as the best graduating student of her set. Moreover, the application fees to those 7 universities is close to US$1,000 in total. How many graduates can afford that in Nigeria? It is not that easy as she tried to paint it.
My brother, whether or not it's easy, she would not have gotten admission for a PhD program in Nigeria.

This is to show that something is wrong with us. We are not thinking straight. Here in Nigeria, we just hate to hear the word "diploma" to the extent that many here cannot differentiate between Diploma, AdvDip, HND and PGDip.

I once said it here that in the US, one can get admission into Master's degree programs with HND (Pass), some people here disagreed.

Our HND is quite different from the UK HND.

Don't underestimate Nigeria HND.

Even Canada rate HND as equivalent of PGDip. PGDip is higher than Bachelor degree, I hope you know.
