Atheist need not preach or debate, the Religious Nigerians only have to pray that Nigeria remains underdeveloped because whether anyone likes to believe it or not, If electricity supply gets better, Internet penetration grows, and data becomes cheaper and more available to many. More Nigerians would become exposed to other World views, histories, findings and loads of information that would be sufficient on its own to make very Religious Nigerians question their long held beliefs. There is no contest here, its only a matter of time. When more knowledge(light) comes, darkness disguised in Religions will not be able to stand it. People perish for Lack of knowledge (Ignorance) |
KingEbukaNaija:Whose fault is it that people have acted despicably in the name of religion? Maybe we should wait for 7 months before moving this to the front opakge, I gouess by then you all will see how irrelevant moving this to front page is in the grand scheme of things. The light is never afraid of more light. If your Truth is shaken by new knowledge and findings, then maybe its time to reevaluate your Truth. |
KingEbukasBlog:Its not always about arguments. Trying to win this or that. Defenders of God..... Sometimes state your point and bounce. |
KingEbukasBlog:And your Wikipedia reference is very reliable ![]() |
KingEbukasBlog:I told you I was an Atheist ![]() |
Faith is quite a dangerous concept. One can just say I have faith that if I blow myself up and kill some unbelievers, I will get to paradise and be rewarded with... You ask such a person how do you know that, they say Faith. They just believe. |
KingEbukasBlog:I wonder where most theist got the notion that atheists are angry at any god, and how some theists run with such narrative. What your atheist friends are trying to do is to attempt to encourage you theist especially Churchianty believers to embrace REASON, attempt to engage the brain even as the Bible encourages, 'come with your strong reason' No one is against any god, most are just against this Ignorance that has interrupted our evolution. That has for long encouraged people to OFF their brain in the name of Faith. |
LiberaDeus:They will say 'Faith', which is a kind of saying, Off Brain No logic, just Believe. It doesn't have to make sense. Just believe it makes sense. It is only a matter of time. Light will catch up with Ignorance promoted by organised religions. You promoting these Religions, what good has it done for you and Nigeria. Is this the life you want your kids to inherit. It is well with my Fellow Nigerians. |
Hallos everyone, I have always wanted to ask all the practicing Christians and Muslims here if they really made the choice to be practicing the religion they currently practice. Where you not sang to, told stories, taught lessons from a Religious book while you were barely grown enough to understand and decide for yourself. Where you at anytime presented with different Religions books, summary, and what they entail while you were growing up, then at some point did you then decide that, from all these, I choose to be a Christian, Muslim or whichever you currently practice. Did you exercise a choice to evaluate them, then chose one. Or all you have always known, heard, was just as was handed to you from birth till now? Only asking if it is true, you actually chose to be a Christian/Muslim, or you were sort of guided towards your eventual present Religion.

He won in the Courts and reclaimed his mandate. *He was the first Governor in Nigeria to legally challenge his wrongful impeachment and was reinstated by the Courts. *He was the first Governor in Nigeria to seek the interpretation of tenures of Governors when INEC allowed elections to take place in Anambra State when his tenure had not expired; the election already concluded was cancelled and he was allowed to complete his tenure. *He was the first Governor to serve a 2nd term in both the new and old Anambra State, that is, almost 40 years after creation of the State. *He was the first Governor, whilst still in Office, to be appointed a Special Adviser to the President. *He was the first serving Governor to be appointed into the Presidential Economic Management Team. *He was among the first Governors to be honoured with a National Award in 2011, while still in office. *Though the only Governor whose political party was in government in only one State, he was elected Vice-Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum twice. *Though the only non-PDP Governor in the South-East (made up of 5 States), he was elected by the other 4 PDP Governors as their Chairman for 8 years rather than the usual one year. FUNDAMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE (PARTIAL LISTING) 1. Anambra was the first State to commence Sub-Sovereign Wealth savings, the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa. At a time many other Governors were leaving huge debts, I left the equivalent of $500 million Dollars in investment as well as local and foreign currency, including $156 million in Dollar-denominated bonds. 2. For the first time in the history of Anambra State, Ambassadors and High Commissioners of notable countries such as United Stated, Britain, Russia, European Union, South Africa, Belgium, Israel, the Netherlands, Canada, among others, visited the State. Before my tenure, Anambra was practically a pariah state blacklisted by the Diplomatic Corps and international development partners. 3. Development partners such as UNDP, UNICEF, the World Bank, DFID, the European Union etc., which hitherto were not in Anambra State started working with the State. Anambra was consistently adjudged one of the best states in development partnership and commitment to reforms for good governance. 4. He was recognised as Best Governor by the Millennium Development Goals Office (OSSAP-MDGs) and the UNDP in the implementation of their programmes in Nigeria. 5. The Nigerian Debt Management Office (DMO) rated Anambra as the least indebted state in Nigeria. In spite of visible and measurable achievements recorded in various sectors, the State under him did not borrow or raise bonds for her various projects. 6. The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria rated Anambra State as the most financially stable state in the country. 7. The State’s ground-breaking return of schools to their original owners – Voluntary Agencies (Churches) on 1st January 2009, and subsequent partnership with the Agencies in Education, saw the State move from 24th position out of 36 States to Number One in National Examination Council (NECO) and West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations for three consecutive years. This made the World Bank to commission a study, led by the renowned Prof. Paul Collier of Oxford University, on this revolutionary partnership and phenomenal achievement. 8. The State also entered into strategic partnership with the Churches in the Health sector. This symbiotic relationship resulted in a tremendous boost to health care because of the services offered by health institutions owned by Voluntary Agencies, while the State restored grants to the agencies and made available to them more than 50 million Dollars in various types of support. 10. Through partnership with the Church in the Health sector, his Government funded the transformation of -: a: Iyienu Hospital, Ogidi; b: Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Ihiala; c: St Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha; d: Holy Rosary Hospital, Waterside, Onitsha; and e: St. Joseph Hospital, Adazi-Nnukwu. His Government also built the Joseph Nwilo Heart Centre in St. Joseph, Adazi-Nnukwu, where heart operations are now being performed. 11. His Government won the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (1 Million dollars) as the best-performing state in immunisation in the South-East. With complementary funding from our Government, they used the money to build 10 Maternal and Child Care Centres across the State, particularly in rural communities, in partnership with the Churches. 12. The State was the first to procure and distribute more than 30,000 computers to secondary schools, including 22,500 from HP. The Managing Director for Personal Systems Group HP Inc, Mr. FabriceCampoy described the deployment as the biggest of such projects in the Middle-East and Africa. 13. Anambra State Government provided Microsoft Academies to more than 500 secondary schools, which the Head of Microsoft in Nigeria (Mr. Ken Span) described as the biggest such deployment in Africa so far. 14. The State provided Internet access to more than 500 secondary schools, which the CEO of Galaxy Backbone (Mr. Gerald Ilukwe) characterized as incomparable to any in the country. 15. More than 700 buses were provided to secondary schools in the State by our Government. 16. Boreholes were provided in schools all over the State. 17. Numerous classrooms were built in all the 177 communities of the State. 18 As part of the efforts to turn around the economy of the State, a number of companies were attracted to build their facilities in the Anambra State. A case in point is SABMiller, the 2nd largest brewery in the world, which built their first Green Field facility in the State, which is today one of the most successful facilities they operate globally. 19. A number of other companies followed the SABMiller initiative and were all supported and encouraged under our Government; a good example is INNOSON Motor Manufacturing Company, from which our government bought more than 1,000 vehicles. 20. Anambra State for the first time started close collaboration with recognized government security agencies (the Police, Army, Navy, Department of State Security, Civil Defence, among others), offering them various types of support including provision of more than 500 security vehicles. The improvement in security was phenomenal, such that the former IG of Police (Abubakar Mohammed) lauded Anambra State for not witnessing any bank robbery in my last three years in office. 21. To further enhance security, Anambra State provided at least one security vehicle to each of all the 177 communities in the State as well as various organizations such as markets and Churches. 22. His Administration conceived and built, from scratch, the first state-owned Teaching Hospital, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu teaching Hospital, Awka. 23. His Government commenced the planned development of the Igbariam Campus of the ChukwuemekaOdumegwu-Ojukwu University, including the fencing, construction of internal roads, electrification, construction of the Faculty of Law, Auditorium, Administrative Block, Faculty of Agriculture, Management Building, among others). 24. His Government attracted the World Bank support on erosion – National Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) – to Anambra State. 25. His Government was the first to do Poverty Mapping in Nigeria, as a guide for the effective implementation of our poverty-alleviation strategies. 26 His Government, for the first time, undertook the aerial mapping of Awka as well as the production of Structure Plans for Awka Capital Territory, Onitsha and Nnewi. 27. During his tenure and with his Government’s support, Anambra State became an oil producing State. 28. He built the first Secretariat Complex to house State Government Ministries that were hitherto scattered around the State. 29. His government commenced the development of the ‘Three Arms Zone’ comprising Government House/Governor’s Lodge, Legislative Building/Speakers Residence, and Judiciary Building with Chief Judge’s Residence. 30. By the end of his tenure in 2014, more than twelve (12) health institutions, including two hospitals, had secured accreditation; when we took off in 2006, no health institution in Anambra State was duly accredited. 31. Anambra State was the first to undergo national peer review, which scrutinised State Governments for good governance, through the State Peer Review Mechanism (SPRM), an initiative of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum in collaboration with the DFID.

PaulIdu:Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Holding the government accountable for their actions is part of the taking responsibility I am asking for. Up until now, correct me if I am wrong, We are yet to hear of a single federal house of rep member or senator who have been recalled by any constituent. Does this mean all the NASS members are representing their constituents efficiently and effectively. Or have you heard any church Pastor or Imam beg their members who are in the NASS to help reduce their salaries and allowances to reflect the current economic situations. The people in Government are not from another planet or foreigners, they are from among us. They are a product of the poorly functional societal structures we have found ourselves over the years. |
Long Post Alert!!! You want change in Nigeria, How much have you changed yourself?? Buhari ofcourse is one Man and expecting just Him to bring about a Change in 170 million people is quite a bit too much to ask. Imagine an accident scene, people are dying some are still alive and awaiting help, the current driver (Unhurt) is blaming the former driver (Unhurt too) for not checking the tyres and fixing the brakes. Some of the survivors inside are blaming the current driver, some others are blaming the previous driver, while people are still suffering, the religious leaders (also unhurt) are leading prayers and calling on the heavens, the suffering and hurt ones still looking for help. Which one are you, and what are you doing. Who are you blaming? What things do you do differently?? How are your thoughts, words and actions helping You, Us, and your Country. Accepting responsibility is the first step to changing anything. Nigeria is in Hard times today, and I blame no one but myself. There is always something I can do to help. There is always something you can do too to help this situation. I remember in an intercity commercial bus from Ph to Lagos, the driver drove above the speed limits and took some careless maneuvers and some times we spoke out "Ha!!! driver easy oh" at other times we just kept quiet cos some of us also felt we needed to maximise daylight through the rough patches before it gets dark. Same day, with another set of passengers travelling from Ijebu-Ode to Ibadan, The first little attempt by the aged driver to make any careless maneuver was loudly resisted by all, with echos of "Ahh!!! Baba, di e di e oh (diye diye)(as in, small small, Easy easy), and so he continued cautiously through the journey. When a driver is driving, it is the collective responsibility of all the passengers to be conscious, sober, and vigilant. In this failure in Nigeria today. No one is exempted So no need complaining now that, this driver should know what he is doing, or he promised to take you to your destination, or that the previous driver used up all the fuel or messed up the vehicle. The problem is already here, Let us start thinking and doing what we can to bring ourselves out of this, lets treat the wounded, help ourselves and work together irrespective of tribe, political and religious affiliations to get this vehicle working again. No more passive concern (Sit and observe, complain and blame) We can do this. Lets start thinking, lets question our old ways of doing things, don't give up and allow a nonfunctional process continue, profer your solution as best as you can. THINK!!! God Bless Nigeria My thoughts, feel free to share yours too. Twitter: @mrebis |
Nice one OP, yes she is very pretty |
thanks for this, I found it really helpful |
A friend wrote about a company called Omo alata whose major raw materials include tomatoes and pepper. If this scarcity of tomatoes will accect a big company establishment like Dangote's, I wonder how smaller company's like Omoalata will survive. https://startupdemands.com/2016/05/02/how-omoalata-works-business-model-insights/

Some students abroad are already worried. One way this is a good move and in another way it will hurt some people who genuinely need to access such funds abroad. What is the way forward? |
Just came across the final season of Real Talk on Ndani TV, where Denrele was a guest. He spilled a lot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXL-w09o_UI |

The Church and Job creation.... The more we have churches preaching about 'having everything or you are nothing', the more we see competition, the more private jets are purchased, more private universities, increased crime rates, odd and obscene news here and there.... An idle mind is the devil's workshop, we don't need more churches competing for members and bragging rights of largest church auditorium or having the most branches everywhere. People need jobs, need power, need education....God doesn't live in houses built by man's hand Acts 7:48 (depends on the God u serve) Imagine if the church camp grounds which mostly cover a very large expanse of land were used as Farms for (food, solar power arrays, wind farms), imagine the jobs we could create, the families we could provide for, the hands we could make busy, and the crimes we could reduce.... If you have a little gathering of people in your house in the name of God, that is also enough, serving God is a spiritual thing not all the physicalities we have turned it to be...(1 timothy 6.6). Godliness with contentment is great gain. Sometimes some people say the west (English) have lost their love for God, that they have turned their churches to pubs, that they brought christianity to Africa, and we are trying to bring it back to them, to save them.......Really ![]() It does not seem like they need to be saved, here in England, we in Nigeria do.... The church could play a better role in people's lives, much more than providing them with something to believe in about life after now, but also start creating a better life for people here. Not just saying to the members go and be blessed, but do what they can to create this Jobs that would benefit more people. (James 2;16) It states of what good are you if you tell your brother go in peace, stay blessed, but do nothing. We need to emancipate ourselves from the mental slavery that divides us and subjects us to selfish, vain-seeking, collective ignorance and negligence. We need to be united irrespective of religion tribe or creed to help ourselves, because there will be no need of any churches or mosques no matter how many they are or how beautiful they are built if the roads leading to them are unsafe, paved with robbers etc, or if members are subjected to compulsory fasting not of their own will but due to hardship. This is not about, this church or that church, this religion or that religion, but this is call for... Unity Faith Peace and Progress. |
May God Bless and Guide our Troops.... |
Its common knowledge amongst people that are on ground that Kingsley Kuku moved loads of money, and Jonathan is currently very disappointed in him. That was why they couldnt pay the fees of some of the students in Russia, Ukraine, Uk, Canada. Stay informed. Whether he probes people in the south, Yes thats fine, its for our collective good. so as to send a clear message that you cannot just eat jollof rice meant for every one alone and get away with it. Change is here |
Addietunes:OP, what explanation do you want, what do you want to understand or learn, what point are you trying to prove, If you can honestly answer those questions for yourself, you would know if this is the best way to achieve it. Picking a verse and making conclusion is not a very enlightened thing to do. I would not do that. We don't learn by doing so. |
buccunmie:It actually is, thats the name with which it was registered in the UK as a registered Charity. the complaints was that they were sending money back to Nigeria as opposed to using it to do Charity related stuffs here in the UK. |

Not cool wasting anyone's time, if he knew it wasn't going anywhere he should have ended it, 4 years, though i know it may have been difficult for him. Enough with all the pettiness, People should move on, Life goes on |
