From my own point of view, opinions on nairaland are a reflection of the deep hatred have for one another as people which is a symptom of an utterly failed nation. Nigeria was designed by the British to fail, no matter how well we try we will all remain a fail nation not because we don't have the capacity as black people to build a first world nation like those of North America, western Europe, or those in far east Asia but because we don't have the platform or foundation to build on.

Nigeria is not a nation and will never be a nation the earlier we all know this and plan how to live together either with each of the major ethnic group operating as a semi-autonomous nation within the commonwealth called Nigeria or we all go our separate ways. The only thing keeping us together is the crude oil of the Niger Delta, no that the oil has solved any of our problems but it has been enough to line the pocket of our corrupt elite and finance all the stupid socialist policies brought by the northern political elites.

I am a Yoruba and I have no problem with igbos residing in any part of Yoruba land but I will gladly welcome an independent southwestern Nigeria, a nation free from the shackles of backwardness, religious intolerance, a progressive nation of over 45m people with common ancestor will be ready to work and progress like all first world nations
