Anyhow, about the tribal marks, it is an old custom which is dieng out and will soon die a natural death. Only hard core traditionalists adhere to it and they probably will be totally wipedout in the next hudred years.
The only problem i have with it though, is that its performed on kids too young to decide what they want, apart from that there's nothing wrong with it. At a point in time in yoruba culture, it was considered beautiful.

i think its important to state the fact that ur grades dont have to limit ur potentials. i know extremely intelligent people who barely passed out of college or university. However, i think its dangerous to take the route of since 'so -and so' had poor grades and hes suceesful, then its ok if i make poor grades. ur grades actually speak volumes about ur abilities. but if u had poor grades in school (like i did) it doesnt have to limit u. (if ure really intellectually challenged, then work on urself)

the simplest solution to a problem is most likely the right one.
